So what was the fix?
Proper thanks is to press the "thank" button for everyone.
i just clicked root, so iwent back and clicked root with CWM and then i could install the ROM

Motorola Milestone (1) z4root problem.

I apologize in advance if this is long.
Lol,heh..
---- Background ----
Type of phone: Motorola Milestone (1) [ This one: http://www.tphones.ca/discontinued-...phones/motorola-milestone/specifications.asp]
Provider: AT&T
I don't know how this is going to help, but...
Android Version: 2.2.1
Kernel Version: 2.6.31.9-gafbfc43
[email protected] #1
Build Number: SHOLS_U2_05.26.1
The process of fu%#ing up my phone:
1). I rooted, well more or less atttempted, my phone with z4root.
2). After being told to restart my phone, I did... Only to find out it was soft bricked. (Would only load to the Motorola logo and stop.)
3). Therefore, I proceeded to factory reset it, and once it did turn on and everything, I noticed it won't and wouldn't get any signal with my working AT&T Sim Card.
I would REALLY appreciate if you could help me by telling me what's wrong and how to fix my phone, if not, just maybe.. Where I can get it fixed.
Thanks anyway for reading.

Since the MS is hard to break, you have a great chance you can make it work again.
I guess something messed up on your phone's data partition, so reflashing the stock rom (you can find all the stock roms HERE) with Motorola's RSD Lite tool or take a look around in the Milestone Dev forum.
If I were you, I would choose a custom rom. Install OpenRecovery to your sdcard (it has a root option, so you can safely root your phone with it) and flash a rom of your choice.
Good luck.

Fabulous. Thank you.. I rooted and flashed my device, but i'm not entirely sure which Stock Rom to choose from.
..There's so many!
I recommend one of kabaldan's fine CM rom.

I'm currently installing it, but may I ask, how is any of this going to effect the fact I don't have service on a working SIM card?
May be a stupid question, however I don't know how installing 'CyanogenMod 10', will fix anything?
..Just wondering...

xD You assumed right.
Once again, thanks bro,
Flawlessly, well it's kinda slow from time to time.
But that's a exception i'd kindly take.
CM7 has way better performance than CM10, if you want to try another ROM.

I really like Jelly bean so i'll just stick with this. It only goes slower than usual when it heats up, which isn't a problem to fix, I just have to reboot and it goes fast as usual.
Sooo, yeah.
Once again, thanks, probably wouldn't have fixed my phone without you.
Lastly before like, leaving forever, do you have any nifty tricks or tips you so kindly, could give me?
o:
Try different launchers. Lightning Launcher is one of the fa test one.
Disable the zRam feature. If you need more memory, use swap with either the built-in script or with FuFu's script.
