Browse the SD card?? You need to browse the ext partition using linux or a file manager app for the phone... for Enom's & Modaco's ROMs, the sd ext partition in mounted at /system/sd for the new CM ROMs, it mounted at /sd-ext....

install apps into sd card and open them

can someone tell me how to install apps into sd card then open them..i found that my legend's internal memory not enough for me..
What ROM are you using? First of all your phone needs to be rooted.. Second.. You need a ROM that supports App2SD (Applications To SD) - Then you can move the apps to sd and install further apps directly to SD
Most ROMS in this forum supports apps2sd
im planning change my ROM right now..im going to use Indigo bean 0.6..
is that support app2sd?
I use this one and i don't see app2sd ! :/
I just flashed with modacos rom with app2sd. But i dont see the app anywhere in the programs list nor does any app ask me which drive it would like to be installed in. I partitioned my sd with Rom Manager too.
yup..im using modaco with a2sd but still cant found any way to install it into sd card..
any idea?
In my opinion Darktremor app2sd is the best way to install app in sd, you can unpack your current rom, add darktremor, and build it again.

errr..can u give me more explanation about this..
honestly im newbie about this..and i haven't partition my sd card
ext2 or 3 partition is a must for all app2sd ROM except CM6 that use app2sd on Fat32
in indigo the app2sd is not available unless you make an ext partition on your sdcard

[Q] How to move all apps on my internal phone storage to ext filesystem on sd?

So i used to have all my apps on my ext filesystem on my sd card on my mytouch 3g 32B. Recently i wiped and upgraded to cyanogen mod 6.1 and also wiped ext filesystem. I used titanium backup to restore all my apps but they are on my internal phone storage now. Is there a way to move them all to my ext partition on my sd card without having to reinstall them all. also i dont want it on my fat partition i need them to be in the ext partition thank you!
Use a a2sd script? And terminal to move Them to ext

but i thought a2sd moves only from the fat partition to ext? does it also go from internal phone storage to ext filesystem?
Apps2SD works by having your SD card patitioned into TWO filesystems. A normal FAT32 partition and a secondary ext partition. ext is just a filesystem, like FAT32, but it's the filesystem used by Android internally.
Apps2SD then runs a script on your phone which symbolically links the folder from your phone's internal storage where your apps are normally stored, to the ext partition on your SD card.
Android doesn't know that when it's installing it's apps to the internal phone storage, it's actually being stored on the SD card
in otherwords as LIL is saying. yes it moves apps from phone to sd card like the older roms did

internal strorage full

Hello,
my internal storage is nearly full. I cant intall some large applications anymore, altough all possible apps are moved to the SD card. (17/192MB)
I use the evil's nxsense Rom.
I also have partitioned the SD to 1024MB ext and swap.
I've heard that it's possible to extend the app storage with the SD.
How?
(Sorry, if this question is already answert somewhere, if that, please just send the link to the post)
Search Darktremor in the dev section...

If you installed eVIL's NXsense, it will automatically utilize EXT partition if present.
Repartition your SD card in recovery.
BACK IT UP FIRST - repartitioning erases everything.

Can I use an .ext4 formatted SD card like a FAT32 formatted one?

Can I use an .ext4 formatted SD card like a FAT32 formatted one in my phone? Im running Ubuntu and Win7 side by side on my pc and I want to take advantage of the performance of .ext4 file system. I tried but 4EXT couldn't mount it, nor could I use ES explorer on it when running on CM7. Is it really possible? Thanks
Unfortunately no, this will not work as android system and most apps will only read off a fat32. However I believe that if you were to partition part of your SD card as ext4 there are certain apps that can read it.... that being said, it isn't worth the effort.

How do you have it set up? If you have everything but data to be on the SD card all should be good. I use Mount2SD, and have it that way. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spazedog.mounts2sd
