I just don't get it.
It plays videos but I cannot get it to interact period.
Most videos I have encountered on the internet will pause when clicked.
I cant' 'tap' on the video to pause it and I cannot interact with the seek or buttons on the player either.
Simply put, the 'container' with the flash player in it never takes the focus.
I can tap the screen twice to get the phone to center on it, but that's it.
What am I doing wrong here?
Is it meant to be non-interactive on phones?

I sometimes watch youtube video repeatedly (music video and stuff)
On iphone, I was able to buffer the video once and there would be no need to buffer again when you select to play from the start or any section of the video as long as you don't let it play all the way to the end.
Is there anyway to do the same on android phones?
It seems every time I move the cursor, it will re-buffer from that position even though I have already buffered the whole video.
Anyone know the solution?
is there any media player that will rotate playback with the device?
reason being, I just got a case for my NC that has a little stand to keep it upright in landscape mode, but its upside down!
I've tried vitalplayer, mobo player, rockplayer and none of them will rotate.
it's annoying as heck, but the player is not the only thing that encounters that problem. it happens with games as well. it's too bad that feature was not integrated with cm7. seems like a no brainer. I just flipped my nook, so it opens like a lefthanded device. annoying, but works.
so, its a systematic thing?
I hope this gets fixed at some point
Havent tried others but the stock player rotates and so does moboplayer if you turn it on.
Get the leaked music player. Works for me.
ya the stock one works, and also the "honeycomb" one rotates too.
Moboplayer flips in any direction for me, so you probably just need to go into your settings and turn some stuff on. As far as games go, that's really up to the game, sorry =\.
But all of the video players you have listed, do flip for landscape on either side.
I recently just rooted my phone, and my friend told me to come to this forum if i had issues. Well, on scanner radio/scanner radio pro there is an issue with the media players. I can select a streaming method, either Android Media Player or Custom player. If i select Android Media player, it takes like 2-3 minutes to connect or never does connect, but when it is connected it stays connected and normally doesn't buffer (which is good). If i select the Custom media player, it connects right away, but constantly keeps buffering after 1-2 minutes of streaming. I would like to use the Android Media player, but i would also like it to connect promptly. When i was running a stock/unrooted phone, the Android Media player would connect right away, and be just fine.
When I emailed the developer for the app to see if it was because there was an issue with the application, all he said was "I don't why the Android player would be taking that long to connect and I don't have any control over its behavior. When you select a scanner from the directory my app tells Android's media player (behind-the-scenes) what URL to connect to to stream audio and then lets the player do its thing, after that point my app only tells the player when to stop or pause the audio."
Does anyone have any ideas or has encountered this problem? Thanks for any help.
Maybe you could try a different ROM? If i remember right, they just released a "stable" stock gingerbread rom for the OG Droid
Where can i find that?
They have the process and the files here:

You'll have to cut/copy/paste the pieces together, I'm not allowed to post to outside forums yet
also, it might be the root causing the problem with the scanner radio application. You could try this with a stock .sbf

Every time I play a video file that I didn't record with the camera, the audio is always behind the video and it's really bothersome.
Running Serendipity 7.
I have a solution
SOLUTION
The best solution I found was to use the VLC Media Player app.
It's still in alpha, but it's the best video player out there. (direct download)
Now there may be times where the video still loses sync with the audio (most of the time when you tap the screen during playback). All you need to do then is to skip to a random point in the video and skip back, or reload the video.
It's a pain, yes. But it's the best we can do for now. Maybe it will get better when the Beta/full version of VLC player is released.
Usually when I click on a video, it opens up and plays and if I tap on it again, I get the option to pause or move the progress slider to rewind or fast forward.. but on my new AT&T S6 on stock 5.1.1, nothing happens when I tap on a playing video... I can't even pause or replay anything.. anyone know what gives and/or how to fix? Surely I can't be the only one experiencing this...
