Spb Mobile Shell [Show your Screen Layouts] - Windows Mobile Themes

Ok its time to show what you have acheived after all those countless hours making your layout just as you want it. Give other people some inspiration and show them just how great Mobile Shell can be.
If you want to explain how you did it then thats fine but lets try to keep this thread mainly for screenshots and keep the questions in the *Right Place*.
If you have a theme or any mods installed to be able to make your layouts then please include the required information to help people who might want the same look.
Edit: I will post my screenshots tomorrow as soon as I get back home
Mark.

Here's mine
Made using:
- Spb Mobile Shell (bet you guessed it lol)
- my Mobile Shell Manager
- moon phase widget and cities time widgets from Spb Time
- data traffic widget from Spb Wireless Monitor
- m6silver "black metal" taskbar
- google images for the cats galore
Main panel, 3 pages, left - center(main) - right.
The "right" one is still sorta "under construction" but, oh well... I'm lazy lol
Other panels/hubs: apps, work, games, internet:

vostradamus neon
I put some stuff from vostradamus together, cool and shiny

Here are mine
SPB MS 3.5.3 + MobileSence + Vostradamus Widgets
(added the old one)

02. Contacts Page.
03. Launcher.
04. Time/Agenda Screen.
05. Weather Screen.
06. World Time Screen.
07. 7th Lifestyle Page (I use it for testing new configurations) Now showing 2 big Battery Widgets.
08. Dialer.
09. Start Menu (I rarely ever see it).
10. SPB Time Analogue Clock.
11. SPB Time Digital Clock.
12. SPB Time Animated World Time.
13. MobileShell Carousel.
14. MobileShell Current Conditions.
15. SPB Weather.
16. SPB Weather Animated Satellite.
17. SPB Weather Animated Temperature.
18. SPB Weather Animated Precipitation.
This is my longest running setup & has pretty much stabalised now. It is achieved using the following:
My Ultralite 23110 ROM (I cook one for myself with my own theme).
SPB MobileShell.
SPB Weather.
SPB Time.
MSkip's ProPlus UltimateV2 for Spb Mobile Shell.
Vostradamus Mobile Shell Manager + Selected Widgets.
KRadd's GTR4 BilboBrian Taskbar.

i took a screenshot of a htc hero and, think i used this picture and photoshopped the graphics in the va_misc_now.dat file. tweaked the qa_layouts.dat (menubar.xml) so it all lines up. for the android theme, i used the actual files from a rip of an android 1.5 rom.

Just some files you drop into your SPB Directory with File Explorer. Simple as that really, oh and a soft reset
MM
Will you be releasing just CABs, or instructions as well? I have a 700WX, so my square screen can't utilize your skins, but I would love to learn how to change the wallpaper!!! Thanks
How did you get the backgrounds to work? That's the one thing I'm still struggling with. In particular, how did you create the background.bmp and background_m.bmp?
Now its getting even more exciting seeing threads like this. Hoping more people start making some insanely sexy skins making it easy for "not so mobile savvy" people like me to easily customize stuff. Though this one isnt that attractive to me, but good work. The only thing Id love changed to make this super sexified, would be a way to customize the icons for that 4th slide.
wow nice skin, it s' vey beautifull Max version Cab please lol
Awesome work MM, have always enjoyed your skin and layout work with pcm, ect. i will definietly have to reload shell onto my phone just for this skin.
Thank you for your great work!
when should we expect the first skin to come out?
merci vais essayer
That looks sweet. I'll be looking forward to it.
I can't wait for this !
nice skin
and i like the new page for application
Looks nice! Looking forward to it.
Will .tsk themes be included (to get same style for all system)? Would be nice
And what about square version? I guess it will be DIY.
Looks fabulous!
I'm wondering if it will be VGA compatible...

Is there a screenshot & cab of the HTC retouched dialer?
[offtopic sorry] Also, please could someone explain the differences between the standard / retouched and eten dialers?
your job is awesome Max,
I have a little comment that do we really need the close button now? I think we can leave it out cause anytime, we can slide the screen down to close the Shell screen and get to the HTC Home screen.
Anyway, thanks for your really welldone job.
Prefer a cab
I have been checking this and the SPB Shell/SPB Shell Guide discussion and neither offers a cab install. All the copying and replacing files and renaming etc., is a hassle. I really hope this one comes in a cab cause it looks awesome.
Update..
I will be releasing it later tomorrow sometime. Basically with 3 background options. So you can just download which ever you prefer.
Installation will be simple. You just drop the dat files into your SPB Shell folder. I recommend backing up your SPB shell directory first. It really is that simple.
The tsk file is already available in the forum somewhere but i will post that also for use tomorrow.

very true, as i designed it to be a replica of the iphone gui, which is as you say, just buttons. i just wanted to give it a go and share with the community. thanks so much for trying and commenting, i appreciate it. any improvements you would suggest?
i know its pretty lame but i think just a home screen woud be suffice
i think ur buttons are the cleanest and most detailed so i wouldnt change that.
ur iphone calendar like replica rocks.
so yea..just a home screen
It is greate,but i can see anything for picture
cool thank you very much my thème BS it identique icone
Gorgeous.
Nice !
How can I use this theme without MRU and only 1 contact page ?
Differnt layout
Work great, thanks. It would be nice it you could replace one of the contact with weather.
Perfect
Very nice work my friend.
Its one of the best and nicest I´have seen. Thanks for sharing.
The only problem I have is that I can´t get the calender as your print screen. I get always the default from the HTC P3300. Am I doing something wrong?
Hi,
Great Work !
Unfortunately doesn't really work for me (SPB MS 2.1.0.3363). I have a lot of Icons which have no Description. They are titled Icon 1, Icon 2, Icon 3 and so on. Perhaps i've done something wrong during installation ?
Thx, lagloose
OK
I found the problem. It won´t work with SPB version 2.1.2. It works perfect with version 2.1.
Thanks

[rlToday Skins] Serene, Cityscape, and Stein - minimalistic skins Aug 31, 2008

Simple minimalistic skins. I will probably make 4 or 5 then update them.
Original Concepts (makes me wish I had a VGA device):
http://i37.tinypic.com/2jg5gyt.jpg
http://i36.tinypic.com/29w8oq8.jpg
http://i35.tinypic.com/22dwms.jpg
Outcome (close enough):
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It is made for QVGA 240x320, but I will be making VGA versions later on.
By default the buttons are laid out so:
Serene:
Home=Phone
Chat bubble=SMS
Applications Icon=File Explorer
Cloud=iContact
Cityscape:
Left girl=Phone and Missed calls
Space guy=icontact
Grey girl=File Explorer
Right guy= SMS
Stein:
Head=icontact
Right bubble=phone
Left bubble=sms
Clock bubble=file explorer
Just edit the skin.xml to change the programs and paths. In order for it to work right you must remove the softkey bar from the bottom of your screen.
If you want to add more icons they can be found here:
http://apathae.deviantart.com/art/Chakram-52063104
http://j3concepts.deviantart.com/art/J3Cons-07-Updated-45651910
Thanks to apathae and j3concepts for their wonderful icons!
Installation:
Download and Install rlToday > http://rotlaus-software.de/download-manager.php?id=13
Download and Install PMC TodayShrink > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=342837
Edit skin.xml to your liking
Copy the the skin folder to Program Files > rlToday
Copy the Font to Windows > Fonts
Activate the rlToday plugin
Apply bg.png as your today screen background
Hold down on the today screen and click options
Choose the skin you downloaded as your skin
If everything was done right you should have it working.
Any requests or questions feel free to pm me.
To Do:
Add optional email notification
Add optional tabs (not sure yet, I really wanted to keep it simple as could be)
VGA Version
Maybe change today plugins to throttle or ul probably wont unless I am aching for some gesture support.
Any suggestions or ideas are always greatly welcomed.
**ADDED High Res Diamond Template for mockups. Enjoy! If you have any questions about it shoot me a pm.
Temporary Download(can't seem to add it to attachments):

Nice..but if you say this skin is created for QVGA users it would be better if you use HTC Touch which is QVGA device..since Diamond is VGA
I honestly didn't even think about that . I just loaded up a Diamond template I had on my computer to see what my concept would look like with a phone around it.

where can we download cityscape?
Its attached in the main thread. I forgot to add it when I edited the post
It should be there now.
okay,
- this is the shortest rltoday xml i have ever seen and
- the today screen has nearly no functions and
- the icons are from devian art
BUT the look you created out of this is extremly cool

Looks were my main thing I was going for, these were just skins for my personal phone and I decided to share them. I usually try to make one everyday I am off from work (which is very few days if that). I prefer minimalism over functionality, but I am working on tabbed versions that have app, weather, and calender pages. I look at my phone hundreds of times a day and I wanted something that was nice on the eyes.
Thanks for the comments anymore you have are greatly welcomed.
im diggin these!
great work
so im using the cityscape..i was wondering if there is a way to have the clock setup like the other one? on the top..thanks
Open skin.xml in notepad and edit the Y position of the clock. You would have to use another background otherwise you would have an empty black bar through the screen.

[Skin] *BB Storm SPB Mobile Shell Theme* MRUs on the now screen, 3/15/09

Digital - No mru's same as original
Analog - 4 mru's (2 obvious, 2 hidden) first one is the operator/signal indicator - I use for comm manager. Second one is the battery - I have it linked to mru pointing to power in settings.
Professional - same four as analog but also 3 more mru's on the far right of the screen just below bluetooth cycler.

I agree, nothing special with this. THis version of BlackBerry Theme is better. But it is for WAD2

Can everyone please read... TS already said this IS a work in progress. He posted it for suggestions on how to make it better (wallpaper, icons, etc.) So if you have suggestions, then post sources for the TS to get his work into action.
Perhaps the FuzeBerry can give you some inspiration.
I like what you have done so far....

I'm glad you like it. I enjoy playing around with themes. Spb mobile shell is a bit of a pain in the ass though. It Will be interesting to see what comes from 3.0 - can't wait. I was going to do some more mods to this theme, but the interest in it is very low due to Point UI 2.0 being out, and Mobile Shell 3.0 coming.
i tried to use it, however, some of the icons are missing.
The entire bottom row is not displaying any of the icons (the 4 icons, calendar, now, launcher, contacts). When i do touch where it is supposed to be though, it goes to the correct application, but the icons are not appearing. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

Is your device qvga? If so try deleting al skin files from your spb mobile shell directory, just the qa------ and qp----- files not system files, then copy and replace again let me know what happens. I have it going on a htc touch elf and an elfin both working fine. Anyone else having problems????? Also are you using version 2.1.2 of mobile shell I think this matters with tab problems.
I am sorry.. I didnt specify what phone I had.. i have the att tilt/kaiser/which is a qvga... i will try what you said to try and i am using the 2.1 version
im actually using version 2.0.. is this the problem??

There is a difference between 2.1 and 2.1.2 there are some tab problems if a skin is designed with 2.1.2 and used on a device that has 2.1
You can download 2.1.4 at spb's website and that will do it. They added some screen layouts and I think that is it.

Here is a capture of "LockScreen" that allow a music option, for now works with S2P (when S2P running in background the lockscreen shows cover and control)
In Home screen swipe to right or left to go to other 2 widget screens, swipe up to down to open a menubox and swipe again down to up to hide menubox.
I add to this theme few widgets to have a better experience:
- Hero SMS Widget
- Hero Weather Widget (you can choose between 3 version Big, medium and small, all of these with weather animated thanks to APBilbo)
- Hero S2P Widget (in 2 version: Big and small)
- HeroClock widget with animated flip effect.
Instructions:
- Unzip the Hero.Zip inside the setups folder of your ThrottleLauncher folder.
- In order to have Hero font, just copy the font file inside Windows or Font folder.
- In order to have music option in lockscreen and see Artist name for S2P, please copy the .mscr file inside your \Windows\Startup folder (you must have to install the last version of mortScript first)
- Unzip your favorite widget zip inside the Widgets folder.
- Please Note, in order to have the animations of clock working yo have to download ClockAnimations.zip from here and unzip in your StorageCard because is a larger file, then select the path inside the widget settings. The same process is for WeatherAnimations (see here)
I already have to thanks a few people: thanks to Haykuro and his videos to make me wish to have this UI; thanks to APBilbo for this awesone program and his support, thanks to Dego1988 and Fireslave his themes gave me a lot of ideas.
If you have more widgets please go (HERE)
UPDATE: For all of you guys that have problems because doesnt know what folder order use, I made a cab with the theme and all the widgets that I made until now including the fixed HeroClock.
VIDEO:
This is the video of theme working in my artemis.

With some instructions, if you need more please tellme.
UPDATE2:
Added zip with WQVGA version thanks to Roniez in ThrottleForum
UPDATE3:
Please test the VGA and WVGA versions posted HERE but remember this versions doesn´t have menu animations.
If everything ok I posted here.

I want to test it, but I have a WGVA-phone.
Will you release this theme with other resolutions too or only QVGA?
Anyway, keep up the good work :-D
Wow.. great work! If you ever make a VGA version for the diamond I will use it for sure!

great theme. After testing on my vogue, i cant get the bottom bar to disappear and having it hide bottom bar only hides the words not the bar. also, my right clock numbers keep disappearing. got any suggestions? now i cant hide top bar in stanalone
@incubus26jc
please can you put a screenshot of your problem, It will be more easy to understand.
Nope
Is not running on the HTC ELFin
-Only the lower silver half circle appears with the clock and the Carrier's Name. Nothing else works, sometime the upper menu would work.
Regards,
Paul
I installed everything as directed on my Touch Pro (Sprint) & it isnt working. Think you may be able to package everything together? Like the widgets, Hero, etc in all of the designated folders so that all i have to do is unzip? I know its a lot but i would like to try this out.
@Paul_Days
can you put a screenshot please?
@tpierre

here is a screenshot. it shows the taskbar wont go away forcing the whole theme down. this is in standalone mode. also shows the right numbers on the clock missing. they come back to flip to new number then go away again. also when i use it as the main today ui, it doesnt lose the bottom bar the words go away but not the bar. the taskbar does go away using it like this. screenshot 2 shows that. i have bottom bar set to hide in the options. thanks alot
