Did anyone know that you can press and hold the home button to see your recently used apps? I'm glad they finally implemented multitasking with Froyo.
*cough*

You can probably just flash it to 2.2, the .zip file is on this site somewhere. That's how I added it to 2.1. Unless its incompatible with 2.2 of course, just do a nandroid.
Is there a particular reason you need the Desire came now that the Froyo cam has similar features?
I like the touch focus. I also like how you can use the trackball to take the pic.

Ever since going from Desire 2.1 to FroYo 2.2, all my pictures seem to come out cloudy. (This was using the default settings for both.)
Anyone else experienced this?

That's a standard feature of the 2.1 camera software though.

I noticed this too on some pics. It was like the exposure was set too high, even though I checked and it was set to 0.

"Not yet, but soon" was Paul's response back on May 28th about getting his Desire Cam to work with Froyo.

[Q] Whats wrong with my phone?

Here are the problems ive been facing after upgrading my phones os from 2.1 to 2.2 through ODIN.
1. Glitch in menu scrolling (rough..gets stuck and isint smooth like on 2.1 eclair)
2. Samsung Keyboard capslock double click doesnt make it permanently capital but rather gets it back to typing small letters anew.
3. Home screen doesnt auto-rotate.
4. Alphabets on the right side of contacts, spread horizontally for ease of finding contacts, disappear once i try scrolling on it through my finger.
5. Cant change shortcuts from the default launcher whereas could do so in 2.1 (Eclair)
6. Default Email application doesnt load emails properly. Also when i click on an email to read it and it opens, i try zooming in through pinch technology but it is not at all smooth. Cant scroll emails side by side to read the whole email properly.
Have you guys been facing such similar problems? Please tell me how do i get rid of this? I had contacted a guy from youtube who made videos on stufflike rooting, lagfixing phones and he helped me out thoroughly till this point where my phone really started giving me problems. He doesnt even reply properly to me now. Need you guys to help me out as soon as you can. Any suggestion and advice will be appreciated
is it a costume rom?

Ahh just downloaded xda and checked your reply. Well, it wasn't. It was just a rooted samsung galaxy s before but now my computed engineer actually tweaked with it and got a dell firmware in my sgs lol. It doesn't lag much now but I have to keep rebooting it..because of kernal upload mode randomely making my phones screen go black. I think I probably am waiting for sgs3 to release.

Video calling

I'm having issues with qik the person can see me but the screen where they are is just green.
Also on tango my front camera is too zoomed in. Any suggestions? Help? Tips? Also I'm running overcome Tom v3.0.0-Icarus

My front camera appears to be kinda zoomed in too on Tango. It's not just the Galaxy Tab...my Evo 3D's look like that too. It must be an issue with the app. Maybe we should send them feedback?

3D button

Looks like they screwed up the side 3D button. It doesn't act as the shutter release like on the Rogers rom. Plus it's got a quick push to bring up the 3D gallery.

It never acted as shutter for me on Rogers. Sad to hear its quick still though. On the other hand holding the home button for changing apps is still quick as opposed to Rogers slow as hell.
It only worked for me after changing the flex.XML file.
Not too sure why but I just changed the US to USA and everything works. You can even use lestats flex.XML and it should work.
Ninja edit:
I noticed that with the stock flex.XML file the button doesn't work the way it should AND the option to go into airplane mode appears in the pull down menu. After adjusting the flex file that option goes away and the button acts ad a shutter and won't pull up 3D Space unless long-pressed

Okay how stupid is that I had add the A to the flex file in the thing works just fine

Instagram For Android, and the Front Camera Problems

Just by a show of users Id like to know whether or not those who have installed Instagram's newest update on the HTC VIVID still have issues with front cam pics, when taken they come out like how a broken NES cartridge used to look on your TV. Im looking to see if anyone has experienced the same exact probs so I can narrow down whether its my phone or the app.
Probably the app since were not the only users with front facing camera problems.

Not sure exactly what you mean, but my FFC has always been VERY fuzzy.

The FFC is a lower quality cmos camera, so the fuzziness will always be there. however it is known with devices using ICS the FFC fails to preview pics using the default instagram camera. Ive been emailing tech support and I was told the issue will be resolved soon.
If you disable the "advanced instagram camera" and use the phones default camera, all is well.
At present all photos taken with the FFC using the Instagram camera fail to show a preview, if not, garbles NES like designs...too bad there isnt a cartidge slot to blow compressed air into lol
lol and I understand l, but on my previous android, I had a VGA front camera and it seemed more detailed and less fuzzy than this FFC.

I'm having the same problem I get some off pixilation at the bottom when I preview the picture
Sent from my HTC PH39100 using XDA
At least u get an image on the ffc?
My guess: it's the app.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
It MUST be the App.. I see it on my new HTC One X LTE.
Update, as per the most recent instagram release on google play, all problems are fixed. No need to install optional updated gl drivers, although the app works without them now
