What about if you boot up your device with a USB cable already plugged in?
What happens?
Does it happen when you mount the SDCARD or when you connect it in general?
Try to get the last_kmsg if you can and postbin.

It reboots on the first Bootscreen
sorry but I´m a totaly noob what does Try to get the last_kmsg if you can and postbin. mean???

So now I have the answer for my question ^^ the problem is a Kernel Issue so every time I install a Eclair rom I have to install one of this kernels http://droidbasement.com/db-blog/?p=457

What phone are you using?
What rom?
I wouldn't use a modified kernel until you can get your phone to actually boot.

I am using a black T-Mobile G1
I change the roms very often but the reboot problem is only on CM 5 based roms. Donut roms or Eclair roms without CM5 are working
Why shouldn´t I use a modified Kernel?

Actually I have had a couple of reboots on the CM5 based ROM's that are heavily themed like Cannon and E-Xtreme.
Didn't know why it was happening tried everything actually.
I ended up going to back to CM5 stable and just flashing everything myself.

[MOD] T959UVJFD Kernel support in newer builds (Flashable .zip)

I've created a zip archive that can be flashed via Clockworkmod Recovery to replace the necessary files in /system/lib and /system/bin to flash a kernel built against T959UVJFD onto a newer build (thanks to eugene373 for the list of necessary files^_^).
Incase anybody is wondering... I've flashed this myself with no issues and bluetooth works fine.
Edit: A good example of this is flashing one of JAC's or kingklick's kernels onto the new OTA UVJI6 firmware .
Forgive the noob question, but will this allow us to flash Jac's XMOD kernels on a JI6 rom?
Nvm found the answer myself. For any other noobs wondering, the answer is yes. Duh
Thanks for posting this!
You're welcome.

Perfect. Just what I was looking for!
thanks
this also works my my kernels
thanks a bunch man!
Indeed, I should change that in the OP.
...and you're welcome .
Sweet, I am gonna give this a try right now.
Edit: Nope. Phone hangs at Vibrant screen.
Worked perfectly for me. Saw the other threads about this and just hadn't had time to give it a go but I am now running Jac's uv/oc/cf.

Can you describe the steps you took to flash this? I came from stock JFD (repartition and EFS clear checked) to JI6 (nothing checked) and then flashed the .zip with CWM and it worked fine.
Spoke too soon. I just flashed the zip without JAC's kernel because I forgot I deleted it from the phone after I installed JI6. So I pushed the 1.1 OCUV kernel to the phone, flashed it and it worked. Seems a little choppy though but I will give it a few minutes and maybe another reboot to see if it settles in. Thanks for the work.
Edit: Oh yeah, it's frikkin rippin now! Thanks
Thanks. I haven't quite decided to do this yet, and it helps to have an easier way to do it. I need to go search later, but anyone care to save me time and explain what the downsides are to reverting these libraries to earlier versions?
Didn't work for me...
I tried to flash using colockwork, got stuck at vibrant screen...
So you have to flash this and JAC's kernel at the same time? I'm a noob so please help me out...

Nightfall983, you can flash in one step using clockwork if you wish using the zip I built a few days time back, you can find it here.

Yes. Flash back support then BEFORE rebooting flash the kernel you want. Or use the all in one zip posted above.
Thanks...
Thank you guys for your help... I'm trying the all in one now...
So, just to be clear, from ji6, I reboot with clock work, flash old kernel support, when while still in clockwork, proceed to flash jac's kernel, right, then reboot? Or can reboot after applying old kernal support, then go crazy flashing kernels?

[Q] Stable ROMS for HTC Desire C (working wifi)?

I am looking for a ROM that has a nice theme, and is cleared of the Built-in apps that came with the stock OS.
I've tried ReVolutionMod 3.1, but cannot get wifi to work
I also see that CM10 does not have wifi support (because HTC hasn't released source for the driver, or the driver itself?)
I am a little confused about this phone because I thought it had an ICS stock distribution, however mine came with Eclair I beleive.
Could I be pointed to the working ROMS?
Thank you

The working roms are the ones that are based on ICS with or without sense.
HTC hasn't released the source code for the driver.
The desire C is retailed with ICS, as far as I know there haven't been android 2.2 Desire C's.
WiFi should be working flawlessly on your device, although you can try posting a logcat maybe some of the devs could point you to the solution.
I'll take a look at it if you are willing to post it here and see if i could figure out the problem.
Just install a custom kernel like the Prometheus in my signature. Then wifi should work with the Revolution Rom !
I'm not sure what happened with ReVolution, but I was getting "Error" in the little wifi widget persistently, and wasn't able to connect. Sorry I didn't get a logcat for it.
I ended up flashing Slim-Sense-v1, which I'm not sure is the best choice, but it seems stable for now.
Is there a good directory of these ROMS that is kept up-to-date? It seems very scattered and sparse over these forums and other sites for this phone.
Just download one click tool ( however) and put kernel in kernel folder then click boot to bootloader and click flash kernel and WiFi should work.

You have to flash the boot.img included inside the rom...The one which is in root of the folder that is of 800 mhz and if your phone gets in bootloops with that just go in folder named Kernels and then flash any of the 2 kernels then your phone should boot up and WiFi should work

I have tried all the three boot.img files of nameless 7.2.4 rom. The one clocked at 800MHz does not boot. The two others boot the device, but still wi-fi error.
I tried also the boot image of revolutionmodv.3.5. It even does not boot the device (bootloop at htc logo).

Thanks man. I tried it, and many others before. None of them solves wi-fi erro with my stock rom.
I do have a handset from Virgin Canada. Does it make sense that the boot.img should come from the stock of Virgin?

I have no idea if virgin canada is the issue but heres a link to a canadian rom . In that thread is another link for a rom .canadian rom I guess you need to see if there is a boot.img in there that will help .
What we have kinda seen on here is most wifi issues are solely boot.img issues.
Can you have to appreciate I'm at best clueless and and worst dangerous rofl.
Hopefully , just hopefully one of the guys with the knowledge will see my spammage in this section and come to our rescue lol
hope you can get this sorted . I'll pop by in a couple of hours and if you,ve had no luck I'll pm a few of the guys to pop into the thread

I just thought that the origin of boot.img may help - but I'm not the expert
The link to the canadian stock rom is broken - the file has been removed.

Random reboots into recovery

Hello xda
I know there quite a few posts out there with people detailing their phones rebooting randomly but my phone just hit a new level of weird.
My i9000 reboots randomly into cwm recovery menu for no good reason (I know there is another thread about this but that instance is on the Nexus S and the thread has basically died). This started occurring shortly after I flashed slim ROM 4.2.2 build 5 (came from CM10.1 nightlies). Flashing the rom again and updating it to build 6 has done nothing to alleviate the issue.
I'm using the Semaphore kernel with no OC or changed settings, and having recently bought a new battery, I'm really not sure where to start looking for the problem.
If anyone can give me some tips it'd be greatly appreciate, thanks in advance.

hi
randomly i will got this problem if i m flashing backward. like from 4.2.2 - 4.2.1, or 4.1.x to 4.0.x. or repeatedly changing between kernel (i always do this to modified ROM to suits my settings n need) its probably due to changing partition in system or kernel clash (even i did all wipe) in internalsd.
Sorry to say. it will come worst sometimes if u ignore da problem or keep flashing ROM to avoid it. 'Luckily' about 2 hour ago my sgs just did. Constantly booting to recovery n its juz bootloop between kernel splashscreen n sgs white splashscreen after it.3 combo button will not working for recovery n only download mode accessible.
no more method for me . Juz flashing back to stock firmware JVU +CF-ROOT with odin was da answers
but if u dont familiar with odin.seek guide here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2149455
but use it as ur last method!
clashing between titan.....no! kernel maybe da reason.do some wiping before changing kernel or ROM. n format system if necessary before flashing!

Reboots into CMW with Slim Bean 4.3 and Semaphore
Hi guys, any news on the subject? Exactly the same thing happening to me. I did a clean installation of Slim 4.3, after using CM10 and everything seems to be working perfectly except it reboots into CWM every 1-2h!!! I haven't changed any configuration and didn't mess with the kernel that came with the ROM, which is Semaphore... Is it a kernel issue? Should I try to flash the latest version?

I run into the same problem with my current update of my I9000 to CM 10.2.1 and the Semaphore Kernel 3.3.0 (JB).
Any ideas on this issue from the pros?
I realized that it was happening to me only when I was loosing the network coverage, like being in the underground or roaming or things like that... I don't know if it happens to everyone but in my case it's definitely this. If there is no network available my phone will boot into recovery after a while. If the signal is OK, it doesn't happen. Maybe it has something to do with the modem?!

try to isolate the issue:
Flash a stock kernel or another aosp kernel (i.e TeamSeven kernel) to see if its kernel related
flash another rom to see if its rom related
go back to 100% stock, if the issue persist then its an hardware defect.

I do not know much about aosp kernel because i'm using Sense. Maybe try TeamSeven kernel. As long the kernel you flash is made for your respective device and compatible with your rom.

It looks like I have fixed the problem. Re-flashed the same ROM and installed only the apps I needed. Must be some faulty app that caused the problem.

AOSP Roms

Hello! I want to switch from Sony Lollipop 5.1.1 to a stable AOSP based rom. I tried CyanogenMod 12.1 and AOSP Jaguar but I experienced screen freezes and general lag that makes me to go back to stock rom. It is a problem with my device or it is a problem with AOSP roms? What can I do in case that my device has this problem?
hi i tried all cm based roms and oasp roms and i can confirm you that all of them have screen freezes. There aren't any solutions expect to switch to stock based roms.
