All my incoming calls are over the speakerphone by default so I have to try to turn the speakerphone off before continuing the call. The speakerphone button is often unresponsive and I am unable to to turn it off.
Anyone else get this problem?
Is there a setting to stop calls over speakerphone being the default?
Thanks.

Hi,
I wonder how I can turn speakerphone on (just like skype) while I am in a telephone conversation?
Hold down the green call button until the speaker phone engages. To turn it off do the same.
In case you want to do this programatically you may want to have a look here:

During the call it happens that speaker turns on automatically and/or switch of the microphone.
Any thought?
Is there a way to turn off the vibrattion when turning speakerphone on when you press the button during a call?
Pisses me off thanks
When I am on a call, for some reason the screen is not locking meaning I keep putting calls on hold, dialing random numbers and more annoyingly cancelling the call. The only way round this is to have the call on speakerphone which isn't always convenient.
I can't find in the settings how I can fix this.
Can anyone help solve this?
Had the same problem. The solving was updating to the latest MIUI and a reboot.
Anyone else finding that the phone gets stuck in permanent speakerphone mode for almost every call now since the update to Android 10? So annoying. Callers and recipients all hear echo too. This is ridiculous. Turning on and off speakerphone only makes it louder and then softer, but doesn't actually deactivate speakerphone mode. FTS!
I guess I'm the only one? Seems unlikely.
I have the same issue.
