Cancelling photos upload. - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to cancel uploading photos? I can only find options for cancelling one by one.
In case you don't understand what I mean, it's when you go to the camera gallery, and select share and then upload.
Thanks in advance.

Not that I can see. I think the fact that you have to go through three options to actually begin the upload was presumed to be enough time to rethink the idea.

Best Twitter app?

I've downloaded Twidroid - haven't tried Peep yet though (!)
What do people recommend...?
Twidroid is for me, without a dubt, better then Peep. More functions and better layout. Having some problems with the notifications and once in a while I have to try twice for it to show a profil page. No deal breaker though
I think The best apps are twidroid , peep and twitterride .
I am not able to post pictures taken with twidroid.. I use add, take photo, then I take photo, done, and it gives me "image can not be decoded"..
Anyone else with this problem?

I also got the same problem and it almost make me go back to my iPhone.
I´m using that function all the time. It works if you select a picture allready taken.
Peep works but it compress the picture so much that it look like crap. And yes I have changed the quality to the best.
Since my Hero runs smooth as butter (thanks to MoDaCo Custom ROM 2.2) I've started using Peep again, which now supports posting in landscape and displays clients the tweets were sent from (which I think is new in this version of ROM). Before that I switched do Twidroid, but never got to like it...
Is it possible to tweak the quality/size of the pictures posted with PEEP?
More than choosing "high quality" in settings.
I think I'd be quite happy with Peep, if it was possible to choose to follow a user using it? But I can't see that option available, unless anyone can help?
Thanks,
James

When you click on someone's profile picture, you get the option to follow/unfollow. Or use the official Twitter text commands - http://help.twitter.com/forums/59008/entries/14020
Has anyone had any success using the Tweeps Around layer in the Layar AR application to find the location of their own tweets?
I've used HTC Peep and Twidroid to post tweets with my GPS location, and then tried to find them on the Tweeps Around layer and though I can see loads of other peoples', my own do not appear....

Cheers,
It was actually that I couldn't find how to "find" someone, if I wanted to follow them. I've found it now though - you use the hard search key to do a search

[Q] Bugs on Zoe and Gallery Issues

Loving the Zoe feature in general and it's definitely the One's stand out feature IMHO. However, I think I'm finding a few bugs. I was trying to select the images for the highlight video and, obviously, because Zoe is kinda random I find that I'm often going back and re-selecting different clips.
However, yesterday and today I found that despite not selecting a clip, that clip still showed in the highlight video. The only way I could stop it from happening was to delete it from that particular event folder. This was really frustrating for me. Anyone else have this issue?
Also, with the albums, there doesn't seem to be an easy way of moving images from one folder to another...I don't think it's even possible. Any one got an idiots guide to doing this?
Yup, same issue here with Zoe. It is such a great feature but selecting which items are included doesnt work at all?! :-/
This is fixed in 1.29 base.

How to check which firmware I'm on? I'm coming from iOS so finding stuff out doesn't seem as simple!
EDIT: Found it - I'm on 1.28. How do I update the firmware?
You need to have at least 13 clips, so it will select all if you have less than this. That's why when you start selecting it says 0/13.

Try it with over 13 clips. You will notice that although some arent selected, they are still often included.
I find this quite a pain as I may go to the beach with my dogs and take a load of photos of them, then I'll go out that same evening and watch some live music at a bar and take some more photos. So natually, a zoe video with those mixed together wouldnt make any sense, so I would go in and just select items for the dogs on the beach or just the music at the bar but the other items still apear.
Pehaps you have the later "1.29 base." MacHackz made reference to?

[Q] Timeshift Burst saves all images - why?

Hi guys,
Using stock ROM and camera (.257) on the Z1. I have a weird issue with the Timeshift Burst feature:
As I understand it, it is supposed to take 30 images, then let me choose one to keep.
Instead, it takes 30 images, lets me choose one, and then keeps all 30 images in my gallery!
They all get uploaded to Dropbox and G+, and they all clutter my on-device gallery. How do I make it stop? I want just one image, not 30.
Thank you!
you can do this.
DCIM\XPERIA\TIMESHIFT, then delete extra files before uploading

Both Dropbox and G+ auto-upload... Having to manually delete files is really a workaround - is there no "sane" way to do this? I expected a setting I missed or something.
Discovered the same annoying issue today. Hope the will fix it or at least give an option...
Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
It's not an issue, Sony made it like this so you can later change the picture you selected. after you take a picture in timeshift burst, select a picture, then if you go to the gallery you will see one image. there is 3 buttons in the bottom right corner, the middle one is to change the picture, if you click on it you will get back to the screen you chose the picture from (as if you just took the picture right now and it's telling you to choose the picture you want to keep in gallery).
Probably the issue you're having is that G+ uploads all the 60 (they're 60 pictures, not 30) and shows them in the gallery. if you can remove G+ pictures from gallery, You'll be good to go.

~J2C

yea its pretty annoying. i havnt tried to figure a way around it yet but maybe you could use foldersync to watch the folder where the timeshifts are saved, and get it to move them to another location, one that G+ doesnt listen to.
tasker might be another one to use. pick the photo you want to keep and copy it to the dcim/camera folder, then have a shortcut (swipepad is a handy way to launch tasks without leaving the current app) to get tasker to delete everything inside the timeshift folder

Gallery problem mixing all photos in Camera Roll

Im having a problem WITH the gallery and is that when i receive a pic from let's say a whatapps group chat, it appears in the camera roll of the stock camera. Is there a walk around or fix to this?
Maybe change the gallery for another?
In the s7 this doesnt happens.
Thanks for the help
I'm facing the same issue, whole gallery is messed up. I have thousands of pictures neatly sorted in different folders and gallery mixes them all up together and shows them in date order, absolutely the last thing i want.
post a fix if you find one.
Bump
anyone having this problem?
not having this problem.
Are you guys using "Albums"?
pictures or events will go by date
albums will be by folder A-Z and in each photo it will be by date

No dont use it. But i use other apps and there photos either go into a folder download or its labelt with the apps name.
So it could be a problem with whatsapp downloading into the dcim folder.

Oh ok i think i get what your saying.
You go to gallery and its in WA alone with your camera folder download etc...
But when you open the camera app and scroll through the pictures. You see all your folders mix in by date?
VS only whata in the camera folder?

Exactly. in the s7 you will see only the pics taken not every pic by date
Yea i just tested that out.
I dont remember it doing that on the s7 edge.
It probably has to do with the new camera app.
If enough peopke submit it to samsung via online chat or calling then. They will end up fixing it.
Simply tell then its a Security risk.
I remember they updated the s7 edge. Befor you could doble tap to open camera. Take a picture then view the other pictures in the camera phot.
When they updated it it has a lock screen and wont let you view the other photos until you unlock the phone.

gallery is android but the camera app is sumsung.
And the problem is the way they are talking to each other.
but both app start from the basic android code so its possible they coded the gallery different, but most of the time the gallery remands the same and the camera app is the only one that gets change.
I remember pull camera app from different phones long ago.
When you open gallery, it defaults to show all pics together, from all different folders, sorted by date. Now, inside gallery you can choose albums tab, that shows it properly in folders, but when camera access gallery, you dont get album option anymore and it's a mess. It's gallery issue, I don't like the way it works now, but I guess I would have to be rooted to install older version? And we don't have root yet, SUCKS.

Haha good question....the photo gallery is sorting and displaying in a strange way....newest on the bottom and u have to scroll up to see older ones.
Any other app even messaging ones display newest on the top so the phone gallery app is pretty annoying.
Yeap hope OPPO can let us set it in our preferred way, it annoying when you got a lot of photos on top but need to scroll all the way down to see the new shot that we make.
