Howdy folks! Out of the blue, my bluetooth wont turn on. When it hit the Turn on button, it sits there for a few seconds, thinking, and then everything is back as it was, without bluetooth being on. Ive looked around and people are saying that its a hardware problem... Hard to believe...
Any ideas?
thanks!

Newbies first post My Xda2i has a strange problem, the talk button won't answer calls, or turn the speaerphone on, or do anything at all when the Xda2 is turned on, leading me to suspect the switch is broken..BUT when the Xda2 is turned off, the Talk button will turn it on, indicating that some swiching is still happening.
Any ideas on how to get it to work when the unit is on???

After 1-2 months of using my diamond my WiFi does not want to turn on.
I used it many many times but now it just doesn't want to turn on. I click on the WiFi button in the comm manager, the windows loading button appears but longer than it used to when WiFi worked then it disapear but WiFi is still turned off.
Does anyone know how to fix that? Hard reset does not help. Help would be really appreciated.

I've had my Kaiser for a while and now, for some reason, Bluetooth won't turn on.
If I go into Comm Manager and press the Bluetooth icon, the little swirling coloured circle (WM hourglass) goes around for a few seconds and then bluetooth icon stays off (as if it's turned off) and the blue bluetooth light doesn't appear on the phone.
I've installed Jetware from http://www.jetwaremobile.com/install.htm in the vain hope that it would start working. I also installed the HTC bluetooth fix from another thread in here (released in December 2007) - same deal, nothing.
Short of hard resetting the phone (which I'm loathed to do) is there any way I can fix this or even investigate what is happening. Obviously the spinning circle and nothing happening doesn't give much info away when trying to diagnose it!!!
Any help appreciated.
If you soft reset and try enabling bluetooth right after it, does it work? I recall such an issue with the Hermes.

If you soft reset and then go into Comm Manager the Bluetooth icon is lit like it's on. However if you wait it then goes off OR if you select it it turns off and then won't turn on again.
Basically I think the bluetooth icon is mistaken when it's soft reset as the blue flashing LED never appears on the phone to indicate that bluetooth is working.

Hey guys, im having a bit of a problem. My phone is shuting off on itself.
Everytime i turn it on, it boots up no problem, but when i hit the power button to turn the screen off, when i want to turn the screen on again by pressing the power button, the screen just goes deep blue, and turns off.
I haven't change anything on it for quite a few months now, so i'm not sure why this is happening. Im on Viper 3.5 i think or 3.7, using faux123 kernel, dont remember which version, but an old one with which i never had any troubles... rooted, s-on
Any ideas?
Thanks!

PD: Logcat in the .rar file...was too big for .txt
Really?? No one??
Well, just for further info... my phone appeared to fix itself, since it stopped doing that weird thing for a couple of days, but now is back... nothing ever changed, no new apps, or settings or anything...
Any ideas welcome
Edit: Attaching new logcats...

I think your power button is broken (or you may have a related hardware issue). Nothing but a root app can reboot the phone, and I've never seen that happen by accident.

Yeah, i thought about it being hardware but something is off... i mean, if it where the power button, then i shouldnt be able to turn it on easily, or it wouldnt turn off the screen properly, nor would it just start working alright for a couple of days... plus, it didnt recieve any hits or anything during, before or after the problem.
I also thought it could be the screen, but when its on, it works perfectly, as on the first day...
But yeah, I'm not taking hardware problem out of the table...just seems unlikely to me...
Thanks for your answer!

Edit: also, I just found out it doesnt actually restart...screen just turns dark blue, then it powers the screen off and it wont turn on when pressing power... but i know its on, because i can still hear notification sounds of incoming messages...
Edit2: Just tried same but instead of using power button, i used logo2sleep and home2wake kernel options, and did the on/off with them, and same result...dark blue screen then off and not turning on... so it cant be power button
Yesterday my bluetooth won't turn on. It has been working good but all of a sudden you go to settings to turn it on and the on button changes color a little but not bright like it usually does and in an minute or so it will go back to off. The bluetooth logo never shows atr top of screen. Any help appreciated.
Added info. I googled and found that sometime a app. will cause this. I haven't recently installed a app and bluetooth has worked since last app install
L.D.
I have found if I shut phone down and restart bluetooth can then be turned on. However, Later bluetooth can't be turned in until another restart.
