I'm planning to switch to paul's desire ported rom. From his froyo rom. Can I just wipe and flash? Our do I have to flash a different radio first?

You'll need the older radio.

Apart from installing MIUI/CM6/Desire Rom, is it possible to install FM Radio on stock?
E.g. install a .zip update
BTW I'm using Geo's stock rom.
Nope, it needs framework mods to work.

Saw many how to froyo to cm7 . But I think bootloader of 2.3.4 is different hence diff version of clockwork mod might be needed also I am not rooted .
So is it possible to install cm7 without rooting ???
Thx

Do you have CWM recovery?

Recovery versions and bootloaders DO NOT MATTER. cwm is baked into the kernel. bootloaders are backward compatible.

If I have flashed a new radio on my inc, do i have to reflash it after changing ROM?
Or is it kept like i flashed it
It stays until you flash a new radio not new rom.

No Need....
Was wondering after flashing a new rom, do I have to flash radios?

no you don't if your mobile data is working fine. Some rom devs suggest a radio that you should use but it is not needed if all is working
If you're flashing to a different release of Andriod, then yes. For example from 2.2 to 2.3.
I had a Froyo based Rom and flashed to a Gingerbread based, and my phone function didn't work until I flashed a new radio.

Also, for AOSP roms, I believe it's been said that you don't need to change the radios as it won't give better signals or anything. There's some posts around if you go digging to find the answer.
I believe it's only necessary to flash radios for Sense roms.

If everything is working fine then you don't need to. Devs suggest you flash a new radio because they have tested their ROM to work best with a particular radio again not really required if all is working ok for you.
