GPS on = Data connection OFF - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was fine older CM Mod but since upgraded to CM5.0.7 (and now 5.0.7.1) I keep losing the data connection and have to reboot the phone to get it on back. Everytime I use Map it also turn off so i can not use navigation. Anyone can tell me how to solve this problem? Thank you so much.

Flash newest rom
sometimes, it's easier and less time consuming to wipe the phone and flash a new rom. Try looking in the android development sections for help.

3g\edge\wifi BIG trouble. PLEASE help!

Hello!
I have big problems.
The fact is that recently I have started a problem with the wifi: icon appears and disappears constantly, the phone tries to reconnect and lose the connection. signal is excellent. I thought that things in the firmware (Super D 1.11), but I haven't time to deal with it.
Now I have started the same with 3g/edge. Icon disappears every 3 seconds, then it appears again and disappears. Internet use is not possible, the phone due to constant reconnections began be slow and very fast mount battery.
At first I reflash same firmware. It did not help. Then flash a few more firmwares - no. Then I thought that problem in OTA, and tried to flash to ota-radio-2_22_19_26I, but to luck, because I have it before.
Now I don't know what to do, use the phone is impossible, I suspect that he just broke down. Can't use guarantee, living in Ukraine.
Help please.
P.S. Sory for my english.
someone ??
have you tried a wipe and a flash of the newest radio? The newest radio version is 2.22.23.02 and can be found in the first few pages of the development section. It might be a hardware issue if those two don't fix it.
Just flashed it. Didn't help

[Q] Problem with new android releases

Hi, sorry for writing here and not to the particular topic, in pure android development forum, where this discussion is already on, but thats the stupid way, how posting is set here on this forum.
I need help with last FRX06 and Gingerbread releases - and trust me, i've tried all combinations of last system files and last 8 releases of kernel.
Final state is this:
1) in FRX06, everything works, except of camera - camera works for 2-3 seconds, then closes with the error dialog
2) in Gingerbread, everything works, except of my data connection - neither 2G or 3G, I also tried all different settings of cdma in the startup.txt, 2G/3G settings in the menu - everything. And it never works - not just after reboot as someone mentioned here, for me, it works never
Please, if you know, how to solve (preferably the first, i think it can be somehow solved) any of these problems, help me.
BTW today Im gonna upgrade to the newest Energy ROM, because I'm using the one from january - i think this has no connection to Android, but i will try after it again
Radio I'm using the newest stable
Thank you very much

[Q] No Signal having accidentally selected Partition internalSD, Can anyone help?

Hi and for anyone who helps my idiot self out I appreciate it ten fold.I've a Galaxy i9000 and on installing ICS 4.2 via ROM Manager at some point a lack of attention resulted in me selecting Wipe or Partition internal SD Card. Couldnt get the battery out quick enough to stop it.
I've restarted the handset and with both an ICS rom and MIUI Rom (Original one before this morning in a last ditch attempt too get a backup) and can use WiFi and music etc all fine. I cannot for life of me get any signal. It recognises I should have O2-UK but that's as far as I get.
Any help is hugely appreciated but bare in mind as the above shows I am not the smartest with all this. I've been theme creating and switching between ROM's fine for a good while but that has me totally screwed
I have internet connection on my phone without wifi but still get the error message that it cannot connect with o2 networks?

[Q] Wifi & battery issues on imilka's cm9

Hi folks,
I can't post in the dev section so I'm hoping someone can answer here instead. Searched imilka's thread but couldn't find anything that helped me. Wipe & reflash has worked for others but not me.
Wifi doesn't work for me. It worked when I activated it in the setup wizard after flashing the rom but after the first reboot it doesn't present me with any networks and it doesn't connect to the one I configured. I know the wifi device works because the mac address is identified in the status menu.
Also, battery time isn't very good. Less than half remains after being fully charged then left alone over night.
I have tried a full wipe & re-flash and also flashed the last version released yesterday. Does anyone have any tips or do I just wait for a new version? Seems weird that it works for everyone else.

Indeed, I didn't come accross any of these problems... I don't know what to say mate, might have something to do from whatever ROM you came from, some kernel remnants...but again, that's just guessing...
What I'd do in a situation like this would be to revert to a stock GB, use jBroid's kernel cleaner, and then try to reflash Chainfire's repack and back to CM. That's just what I'd do...
I'd try to do a factory reset first. That way you'll get another chance to setup your WiFi from scratch and see what transpires. If it fails, it's back to basics, most probably. Rooted GB --> ICS Repack --> CM9.
It's such a hassle to reinstall everything again.
I'm downloading a stock rom now and I'm going to try flashing the modem partition. Perhaps the modem in the chainfire repack I flashed before is not 100% compatible with my phone... Otherwise I'll just have to stick to mobile data.
Flashing modem made no difference so it's something with the ROM. Luckily I have a good data plan so I'll just leave it and see what happens in the versions to come. If anyone has an idea, feel free to let me know.
And thanks for your answers guys.
Suddenly it all works. Thank you Google. You're swell!

miui rom installed-now big problems... PLEASE HELP ME

I installed miui 202100 2.3.7 rom on my ropoted moto droid , now I lost all data download, upload, all browser both wifi and 3g,I also lost the ability to boot into recovery, bootloader, rom manager ( pretty much everything rom manager ), I cannot flash another rom or restore any previous nandroid backup. I have full reception on wifi, yet always " no connection. I have no idea what to do. also, there are chinese or some asian language characters all over the place. I am really frustrated with this lost data capability, I have to access my email very frequently for work when I am on the go. anyone, please help me!
If you plug your SD card in to a computer are the files for Open Recovery still there and did you take a backup before you started the upgrade?
Also sounds like you picked some asian version of MIUI which is most likely not compatible with the US Droid's hardware.
Go get a version from www.miui.us
I flashed back to stock rom using rsd and now all is good except data functionality.
I am still unable to get any data functionality. I have data included with my plan, and no connectivity between 3g/2g or even wifi. I keep getting the no connection dialog
Maybe you have to reenter the APN data.
If you have no network connection at all then maybe you have to switch the baseband to a correct one - but I have no experience with this.
