The dock loads Car Home from what I understand. But that does not not see Brut's map.
So if I get a Car Dock, is it possible to use Brut?
edit: I searched around and it seems Car Dock v2 may be a viable alternative. I guess I'll seee when my dock arrives.

I've got a question for everyone who has the CU-S400 carkit or the CC-C200 car charger...
Does the CC-C200 charger (which is also supplied within the CU-S400) activate NaviPanel?
Or will this only happen with the car holder?
I just like to know, because why should I buy another CU-S400 for in my second car, when I could use my universal holder + the CC-C200 (it saves me some $$ for my speeding tickets )
I hope someone can help me out

The actutal car kit activates the Navi Panel, not the charger. If you look closely at regular micro usb charger tips, on the inside, its like 4 little slots, but on the charger itself, the micro usb that actually connects to the HD2 has 5, which tells the HD2 that it has been docked, therfore launching the NaviPanel.
PS... the long usb cord that comes in the navigation kit is a standard usb cord, nothing special about it at all. The magic is all in the dock's USB.
Hope that helps.

Yes, it's all I needed to know

Thx for the fast response

Something you might want to consider:
Create a shortcut in Windows\Start Menu\ Programs (so when you tap start it appears in the list) pointing to "NaviPanel" (not NaviPanel.exe") locatend under Windows folder and that way you can launch it when you like... Using an icon changing software you can change the icon of your shortcut...
Been thinking about getting one but got a question for those of tou that do. If you use the 3.5 headphone jack to play audio thru your radio can you still recieve calls with hands free or do you have to unplug it from the phone?

You can answer totally hands free. There is a 3.5 mm jack on the bottom of the dock and a short cable is included to stream music from the dock instead of the phone jack. I have had the car dock since day one and love it. It is designed to accomodate the VZW hard case w/ extendended battery also.
Added your question to the moto car dock thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1291779
FWIW, if you get the moto car dock sold by verizon wireless, you'll need to plug the audio cable into the top of the phone each time you dock it.
If you get the moto car dock direct from motorola or amazon (part # 89499N) it adds a special USB cable that has an audio jack for the the 3.5mm stereo cable on the end of the cable that plugs into your car charger, and a motorola dual USB rapid (850 mA) charger. Just checked amazon and it's down to $40 for that kit, I'd go for this dock hands down.

Hi All,
Is anyone aware of a dock for Android phones, similar to the laptop docks. It should be able to charge, provide HDMI and sound output. And also a port to connect a Mass storage device.
This is possible with the USB OTG. But I am not sure about the drivers for the HDMI out or audio out. Is there any place where we can find android drivers for these devices.
Thank you.
I just picked up the "multimedia" dock straight from Samsung, and really all it does is charge the phone. No access to the headphone jack as it becomes blocked, and as far as I know, there is no HDMI output for my NS4G. Granted, it does look nice with the phone docked, and it does everything I need it to do anyway - charge the phone and make it into a nice desktop clock. $17 on eBay in case you are interested. Let us know if you manage to find what you are looking for. Would be nice to find out I can do HDMI out after all.
USB/charging dock
As far as I know, you won't find any dock with HDMI or sound support for the Nexus S. All docks for this device do exactly the same thing, they only charge, and mount the SD when connected to a PC. You can find two or three different models on ebay for 20 or 30 dollars.

Hi all,
Hope everyone is having a good weekend
I am on the hunt for a docking station for the Razr I for my wife as part of her Christmas present, she currenty has a docking station for the iPod - but now that she has the Razr she would like one for it. As you can imagine, in a world full of i-compatible devices and docking stations finding one that is mini-USB compatible is a challenge.
Does anyone know or can recommend a docking station for me
Thanks in advance
Chris
Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know USB-Audio out ist not possible (on Razr I)
You could search for a bluetooth dock that charges the phone.
(Honestly I don't know about that USB-Audio thing, but thats my guess)
Don't know about USB audio either,
But how about this one:
http://www.fommy.com/view-full-page...otorola+RAZR+i+XT890&cat=Speakers&skuno=94093
Music via Bluetooth and adaptable USB-port for charging, slap an NFC-Sticker on it for auto connect and music app start and you should be good to go.
anybody know of a decent dock that will serve as a stand and offers a keyboard w/ trackpad? i just got my n7 and ordered one of these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009WSCW4S/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 with it and i'm finding that the touchscreen is pretty awkward to use while it's docked. i've scoured amazon for something more suitable with no luck so i thought i'd ask the hive mind. if no such dock exists i should be able to pair a bluetooth mouse or touchpad at the same time right?
Wow... No answers? LoL!! Um... just in case others come looking, you can pair a bluetooth mouse with it. I was looking at that very keyboard dock today. I want one. LoL!! My plans was to use a USB OTG and a wired USB mouse. I may invest in a bluetooth mouse, though.
One thing I've tested before was using a USB OTG: connecting a USB Splitter to it: Then connecting a mouse and keyboard to the splitter. This works. The only issue here may be power. Sometimes the keyboard wouldn't work, or sometimes the mouse wouldn't work. Other times both work fine. I'm lucky enough to have a USB to USB cable, so I plug one end into a power source, laptop, wall adapter, etc, then the other end into one of the splitters. This will give power to the keyboard, mouse and Nexus.
