Hi all
I've got a s3 i9305 french SFR. I tried to root It with à bad file bye odin. Alter that the phone boot without asking pin code and i have no signal. After i root it again with the good file and the root is ok. But the boot is still bad. The phone tell me that i am in factory mode. When i shutdown it, it do directly without the normal interface. After many research i can phone. Sorry for my english, i am a french user.
Please help.
Seems hat you are in factory mode. That mostly happens if your efs folder is damaged... I had the same issue plus an annoying yellow font on black background ... did you backup your efs folder?
No i Didn't and i read it could be the problem. But there is no solution for the moment ?

Ok ....
First try:
1. Root the device and then download SuperUser first and Terminal Emulator from Google Play store.
2. After that launch SuperUser app and then use Terminal Emulator to type in the following commands:
Code:
su
echo -n ON > /efs/FactoryApp/factorymode
(ON is the right to disable it, dunno why)
I try it but no change. I had edit the file factorymode to change it before but nothing happened. Tanks

What helped me was: go to your efs folder and change the rights to rwx rwx x
I tried it before and no change. Do you still have the problem or it's ok for you now ? Do you know how to rebuild efs folder ?

No Problem and good luck!!!
You need to follow my sticky guide in the dev section.
It's the section on how to fix your device after bad or incorrect root package.
You need to flash the Param binary in odin that I have uploaded to fix your device.
SIM pin, imei and data connection will then be back.
Here is the guide link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1946915
Please read the first post in that thread
Good luck!

Many thanks for your help.

1st my friend is using my computer so I won't have it in front of me until tomorrow. I don't wanna use cwm recovery..I'm on new touch drivers and goomanger doesn't have the new one up...
Anyhow to my question....how can you flash recovery.IMG in terminal emulator?..I know how to do it on aosp etc...the regular commands doesn't work so maybe you gotta add files to system to make it work?...I know it's possible to do it through a terminal emulator if goomanager can flash recoveries. Anyone know how to do it? Thank you

After reading what you put up....those commands don't work in terminal with this phone....which is why I said something is missing in system or etc..those commands would work in cm....there's gotta be a way...oh well I'll crack open goomanager and see how it does it

Hmmm my bad then
I'v buy the LG g alex by someone and i'v found this program...it's a kinde of root program...bug I can't undestand how. it can work.
As u see there isn't any write...whot can I do? Back to stock and re-root or what ?
Sent from my LG-D955 using xda app-developers app
I would take a few mins and read the forums here on XDA before you do anything else. Make sure you understand what "root" is and the risk / benefits of rooting. And then follow the guides and tutorials that have already been written up on rooting your device. And you'll see there was no need in buying that program.
But seriously you need to read up on rooting and custom recoveries about your device. If you don't have a custom recovery or know how to install one then you could do more harm than good. You could render your phone useless and it may not get covered by warranty.

I know what root is...i just the to understand what this program Is...because it's installed on the phone...and there aren't any writter...so i ask to all of u what it's this program...

If is says just root, it's hard to tell what it is. Do you know what it does, can you delete it?

I would tot back to factory before I but any of my info on it.. But that's just me
It look like there are some missing character sets on the phone, probably Chinese.
If I were you, I'd install a root checker and check, then go to where the phone was from, and ask them.
1:The Phone is rooted and the funny think is of I press the root button the phone isn't root eny more...
2: no i can't delette
3: ya some missing character
Sent from my LG-D955 using xda app-developers app
This is the screenshot take from the root uninstaller.. as u see they said it's an superuser...but it's really missing some characters file...and the Chinese language work on the phone...so the problem was on the program...
No way to understand what it's...
In some sub-menu there are all installed whit a check-box...and it's look like a MIUI super user...hem...

It's probably an SU program. If it's okay with you, then you can uninstall it since you have the uninstaller, then install an SU that you are comfortable with.

Go to Settings > Applications and look for the app. Name might be there.
Or upload the app and I'll just decompile it and look at the package name

It comes up differently for me. I thought this is what it is. This is the knock off superuser app that gets installed when someone roots a phone using vrroot and u think kingo as well. To get rid of it download supersu from the play store and open it. I think it will detect the other and all if you want to delete it, but if not just use a file explorer and delete it manually.

Yeah it's checked
Hmmm, I'm not too sure what the issue could be then. Let me find the forum thread for xposed q&a and I'll link you to it. They'll be better help than I am.
Edit: You already are here, lol. Excuse my slowness.

Did you gave root access to xposed? Do you even rooted your device?
Grab a logcat, it'll show the actual reason why it's failing.
You can also install it through ADB (or `pm` from a terminal emulator), that'll directly give you the exact error.
Yeah its rooted

I've normally only seen that error when the file is already in the system somewhere. I don't know the file structure of an LG phone and I'm sure it's completely different than a Samsung. Check also in data/app

You could also try rebooting and attempt to install it again. Sometimes that does work

I'll just say this again because it's all guesswork unless you do so:

I would like to know if it's possible to temporary unroot my phone to use the TomTom app.
I saw that the superuser pro app has per app settings, could I use this to temporary unroot my phone?
Sorry to respond so late
You can temporarily unroot your phone safly with the checkbox in super SU (i tried it myself) I am unsure if rebooting while unrooting is okay.
If you get xposed you can use rootcloak, better than uprooting.
