Hi,
anyone using TomTom 7.91x with internal GPS on this device?
If so, could you post the export of
Code:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\GPS Intermediate Driver
registry key?
Thanks

No given passwords work with those files :x Since they are (PH20B), does relate?
Has anyone got those pw's? I repeat for Blue Angel only.
1) The files you are looking at are simply zipped cab files (See posting in Extended Roms thread)
2) The xda3nbftool has an extra command line option of -t which attempts to discover the xor key used to encrypt the .nbf files. This seems to work well for all files except the radio_.nbf file which causes it problems. Try it on roms that you are having problems with to see if it is the correct key. You can check the resulting .nba file with a hex editor to ensure the PH20B and other data is shown at the beginning of the .nba file.
3) The following are the "passwords" (Really xor values) working for most Blue Angel Roms:
ms_.nbf = 0x20040522
nk.nbf = 0x20040521
radio_.nbf = 0x20040523
YES, I READ EVERYTHING ON WIKI
Unfortunately the wiki dev is now outdated; I successfully applied the official ROM update from siemens, and have tried just about every freaking variation in order to apply the 1.06.02 radio upgrade, but to no avail. Can someone who has done this please please please point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Got radio 1.06.02 to install on SX66 with this file
I was trying to upgrade the radio stack and had a heel of a time doing it. But I finally got it working. This is where I started:
I have siemens sx66 Cingular
It was:
Rom: 1.20.10
Date: 10/08/04
Radio 1.02.10
Protocol 1337.35
ExtRom 1.20.115
I installed the latest patch from siemens and then it was:
Rom: 1.33.10 WWE
Date: 1/21/05
Radio 1.02.10
Protocol 1337.35
ExtRom 1.33.110
It turns out you need to use the BaUpgradeUt.exe file from the source upgrade, the sx66 wont work with other radio stacks. It just gives you checksum errors. I got it working, and I'm attaching a radio stack update rar file. To install the radio stack on a sx66 with v1.33 just run the BaUpgradeUt.exe program in this rar file and follow direction on the screen.
This is what I tried before I got it working:
I am trying to install the radio rom and I'm getting errors. On the BA_FRA_BelDT_12202_558_10602_Ship version of 1.06.02 radio stack I get a checksum error. The operator and checksum fields are both blank when I run fix.bat. Here is the output of them. I added -v to get more info.
C:\Documents and Settings\1st User\My Documents\My Phone\SX66Update>xda3nbftool
-v -x radio_.nbf radio_.nba 0x20040523
devicetype= PH20B

version= 6.02

C:\Documents and Settings\1st User\My Documents\My Phone\SX66Update>xda3nbftool
-v -sd PH20B1 -sl WWE -so XGULA001 radio_.nba
devicetype= PH20B
operatorname=

version= 6.02

C:\Documents and Settings\1st User\My Documents\My Phone\SX66Update>xda3nbftool
-v -c -u Radio_.nba
devicetype= PH20B1
operatorname=
language= WWE
version= 6.02
crc=
updated checksum to e07cf3cf
C:\Documents and Settings\1st User\My Documents\My Phone\SX66Update>xda3nbftool
-v -x radio_.nba radio_.nbf 0x20040523
devicetype= PH20B1
operatorname=
language= WWE
version= 6.02
crc=
I thought the password looks like a date, so I changed the password the the create date of the file, that didn't work. I then decided to try a different radio rom. I grabbed the radio rom out of:
BA_WWE_BP_12200_169_10602_SHIP and tried it with that one. On that one I get a wrong password.
I tried searching for sx66 radio password on the search enging found nothing.
I tried BA_ITA_DT_12204_168_10602_ship radio stack same problem.
I'm beginning to think the checksum creation is different.
That's when I decided to use the source's version of BaUpgradeUt.exe . It complained because the HTCRUU.conf and HTCRUU.dll weren't there, I coppied those from the source as well, and VOILA!!! it worked like a charm!
HAPPY UPGRADING SX66ERS!!!!!!!
It turns out you need to use the BaUpgradeUt.exe file from the source upgrade, the sx66 wont work with other radio stacks. It just gives you checksum errors. Can you tell me where you are getting this file and where this .rar file is?
I have a problem with some CABs:
wceLoad prevents me to install any CAB with registry setting - any DWORD value in the range 0x80000000 - 0xFFFFFFFF
Is it a bug?
--------
If you wish to replicate my problem, try to install two attached CABs.
Both of them contains dummy file \Temp\temp.txt
test_OK.cab sets HKLM\Test\Test_00000000 to 0x7FFFFFFF [this is OK]
test_fail.cab sets HKLM\Test\Test_00000000 to 0x80000000 [this is not OK]
can please someone from WM6 post the values of all key in the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\FATFS
trying to solve the SD mount problem with 3.3 ...
?
please ?
thanx
Yeah of course, no problem.
(Default) (value not set) = string value
CacheDll diskcache.dll = string value
CacheSize 0x1000 (4096) = dword value
Dll fatfsd.dll = string value
EnableCache 0x1 (1) = dword value
Flags 0x44 (68) = dword value
FriendlyName FAT FileSystem = string value
Paging 0x1 (1) = dword value
Util fatutil.dll = string value
Then there's a map called Filters with submaps:
Filters:
(default) (value not set) = string value
In the map Filters is a submap called CacheFilt.
CacheFilt:
(default) (value not set) = string value
Dll CacheFilt.dll = string value
Order 0x2 (2) = dword value
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's the complete contents of the FATFS map.
So to summarize. The dir structure is:
HKLM->System->StorageManager->FATFS->Filters->CacheFilt.
Good luck.
thanx...
trying somthn out
Please send me this values from 3.3 ROM not the WM6!!!
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\FATFS\Flags
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\FATFS\BufferSize
thanx !
hi
I am looking for a script or tool that will activate the wlan-option when ActiveSynch is connected? To save power, this tool should also disconnect wlan when AS is stopped. Someone knows already some tools for that?
or is it possible to get n toggle-button option for wlan as softkey?
thanks
Use this wifi toggle and assign it to a soft key with SoftKey manager.
If you install mortscript a fairly simple script can be written to toggle wifi on and off with an activesync connection. I have written a similar one to toggle wifi on automatically when I open pocket internet explorer or the Network plugin and off when I close them.
hello,
yes i am already using mortscript (to set the registry key showsim = 0). i tried to find the wlan-toggle-key in the registry to turn it on and of, but i didn't find it. and also i don't know how to get the activsync status...
thanks for your toggle-sricpt, i will use it for the first time...
Changing registry values to turn hardware on or off using mortscript does not work. That's why you need to get mortscript to run the toggle I attached.
Try this script
-----------------------------------------------------------------
VariableValue = 0
While (1)
#Detect for USB connection
SyncState = RegRead("HKLM", "System\State\Hardware", "Cradled")
If (SyncState = 1 && VariableValue = 0)
#Turn on Wifi
Run "Path to\Wifi_on-off.exe"
VariableValue = 1
EndIf
#Detect for USB disconnection
SyncState = RegRead("HKLM", "System\State\Hardware", "Cradled")
If (SyncState = 0 && VariableValue = 1)
#Turn off Wifi
Run "Path to\Wifi_on-off.exe"
VariableValue = 0
EndIf
Sleep 2000
Endwhile
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Remember to place the script or a link to the script in your Windows\Startup folder
works perfect! thanks!
