With the increasing popularity of XDA Developers forum and with an increasing number of Indian users, it's time that we, i.e all the Indian members of this forum come together and share our thoughts, views and advice.

Hi, I am Subhabrata Basu from Kolkata, West Bengal. I am a Software engg by profession but I have got some high dreams and ambitions in my life...
I want to build up a mobile community portal....oops...I will discuss about that later on...

Hi I'm Vikram. I'm from Kolkata too, but right now, I'm pursuing a BE in Information Technology (3rd Year), in Bangalore. Got my first WinMo device, HTC Touch, last year. Not a very active poster, but a very active reader of this forum!

Hey I am Nabeel from a small town Pilkhuwa(40 km South East from Delhi). Currently Im into business & Like to tweak my windows mobile. I bought my first Win Mo 4 years back & hence used only Win Mo.

I am eldest of you lot(in terms of postings) and quite a old member here. I am actually a gadget freak. I am in college now but does a part time job in my Dad's business. Whenever i am free i write my blog or chat in my forum or i am here. Needless to say this is a great forum!!! Oh by the i am from Mumbai.

The first Win Mo I got was Krome IQ200,
then switched to Krome IQ700,
then O2 Xda Mini
then I mate SPV3
then Wizard,
then Prophet,
then Dopod 600 which I have got now too.
Finally I have got HTC Touch, Atom, Artemis, Orbit now.
N it seems Im senior in terms of subscription to this forum.

Been a member here since a few years (for some reason my old id got deleted during an upgrade... I think!)....
Anyhow, I've used pretty much all the pocketpc's till date (shown on the site) except The Shift and 7510 (16gb).
Ive used just two or three Smartphones though...(I'm not a smartphone fan at all - though the StarTrek was kinda cool).
I change my PPC every week/s go back to old , back to new - so you'll see me posting about pretty much wherever I want (based on what I'm using at that time).
I'm located in Ahmedabad (physical), mentally its purely online
Personally I feel my favourite of all the devices come out to be
1) Universal
2) Advantage (7501) - 8GB / Black
3) Kaiser (TYTNII)
Im currently using a TYTNII but think I'm going to go get a universal again..hopefully get it converted to 128MB....

O2 XDA Stellar debrand?

Hi,
I bought a o2 XDA Stellar a few days ago.
but i dont want the o2 branded stuff on it, is there anyway to change the phone so it runs just the basic HTC stuff?
and how do i get windows mobile 6.1 on it, as o2 dont seem to want to reply to any of my emails.

You need a new ROM (one with WM6.1 in it).
Start reading here for all the answers. It will take some time though

One week ago, I thought of opening a new thread to say goodbye to the community, as I thought to be the last one remaining here !!!
It looked like everyone was gone, without a word. I stayed, because I wouldn't be the one, who had to switch out the light !!!
What a nice day tonight, to see You and swampy395 still here !!!
So, I hope, this forum is not as dead, as I thought, it is by now.
There are some people, like me, waiting to test new (WWE) 6.5.3 roms !!!
Specially, some newcommers and some other, who failed to build their own, (Like me !!!)
The beer is in the fridge, the batteries are loaded the device is in bootloader, So: Where's the rom!

But I was really near to doing it, for the first and only time!
My collection is finished. The devices are running. And now way to build a running WM6.5.3, for me, because I don't understand the kitchens.
At last I bought an alpine for 3,50€ (+5€ shipping) a few days before xmas (no joke), and changed the broken display to a used one, I bought in Hong Kong for 20€ (inclusive Porto and package). There are still some left. If you're interested just PM me.
At Xmas I packed my new 30€ Blue Angel (+10€ new battery, because it keeps resetting, caused by a broken main batt)
into an egg shell/packaging and made it my wife a gift. I call it my way of an: EI-phone. (Ei-->egg)

Unlocking O2 XDA Diamond

Hi All,
I know this is a popular question, but the Wiki is down and Google is full of questionable sites. My other half has just upgraded the Wildfire so we want to sell her old Diamond. Ideally, I'd like to unlock and wipe it before we do.
The last time I played with WinMo development was back in the HTC Blue Angel days, so I'm feeling a touch lost.
Any help would be much much appreciated!

Hey guys,
I only had my kaiser this year, because it was from a friend. When I looked at it, it was kinda boring , but then I started reading the kaiser forums and quickly found a way on how to install Android on it (in this case NAND). Believe it or not, is now my MAIN device! I only have a HTC Touch HD more, which has better specs, but there are no good Android ports for it, so I went with my kaiser!
I would like to thanks to the all XDA community on Kaiser!
p.s.- Here are my upgrades...when I got it was all stock!:
-SPL: 3.29;
-Radio: 1.70.18.02;
-ROM: Froyo[2.2.2]: My Modified Fresh Froyo Release!
btw, if you find anything radio, say it pls!
