Hello everybody. I have an ATT n1 that i updated to froyo w/o the radio update. everything was working fine until i decided that i wanted to try the new CyanogenMod-5.0.8. this mod requires the froyo radio so i updated. after trying the mod i decided it wasn't for me and restored my nandroid backup. Everythin seems to work but now i get no data when connected to att. i do get full signal and can make/receive calls and texts, but i get no data. There is no "3g" or "E" logo above the cell strength icon. I also tried to wipe the dalvik and user cache. still no data. Any ideas? below is my system info:
baseband version:
32.36.00.28U_4.06.0012_7
Kernel version:
2.6.32.9-27220-g328f560 android-build apa26 #1
build #
FRF50
thank you so much for any help provided. I promise i searched all over and was unable to turn up any answers
Check out this thread and make sure your APN is set correctly: http://android.modaco.com/content/g...-desire-port-with-online-kitchen-final-alpha/
awesome thank you. I think that worked. I actually flashed a rom to return me back to stock and then restored my nandroid again and now it works. it makes sense that it was a missing apn setting though.

any ideas guys?
Are you connecting to the correct cell network? And are your APN settings correct for internet access?
checked but nothing has changed
deleted, reset and tried manually entering but nothing so far, been searching around but haven't really found a solution
I installed miui 202100 2.3.7 rom on my ropoted moto droid , now I lost all data download, upload, all browser both wifi and 3g,I also lost the ability to boot into recovery, bootloader, rom manager ( pretty much everything rom manager ), I cannot flash another rom or restore any previous nandroid backup. I have full reception on wifi, yet always " no connection. I have no idea what to do. also, there are chinese or some asian language characters all over the place. I am really frustrated with this lost data capability, I have to access my email very frequently for work when I am on the go. anyone, please help me!
If you plug your SD card in to a computer are the files for Open Recovery still there and did you take a backup before you started the upgrade?
Also sounds like you picked some asian version of MIUI which is most likely not compatible with the US Droid's hardware.
Go get a version from www.miui.us
I flashed back to stock rom using rsd and now all is good except data functionality.
I am still unable to get any data functionality. I have data included with my plan, and no connectivity between 3g/2g or even wifi. I keep getting the no connection dialog
Maybe you have to reenter the APN data.
If you have no network connection at all then maybe you have to switch the baseband to a correct one - but I have no experience with this.
I just flashed the CM11 rom from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2518124
I have 3g and LTE service depending on where I am with working data but I cannot make or receive phone calls or test messages. Data works fine. I have tried the latest and the oldest radio, no change. Even if I restore back to my stock ROM I still have no phone service but data will work. I have also tried to flash the CM11 rom a few times. I am on the 11/19 nightly. Im not sure what else to try.
I was looking through some setting and found my MIN number is set to 8471110111...Im guessing I have to get the correct number from sprint and figure out a way to change it to the correct number?
I get network connection on every single rom I can find but when it's Cyanogenmod or based on Cyanogenmod I get no network connection at all.
Tried clean installs of cm but still no network connection, is this a new way by cm to get rid of it's users?
I assume you have made sure that your APN settings are correct ?
Check your baseband if it is "Unknown".
It's unknown and network has worked before once but stopped after I updated it and clean installs didn't make it work again.
I was in similar situation. (no baseband, IMEI, sim-locked)
I restored backup through CWM, but it did'nt help.
I flashed the CM11 after data and cache wipe... and it helped. Everything came back to normal.
I x4.
After unlocking and rooting my stock system, it still worked fine, but I wanted more features so I went to a custom rom.
Neither CM12.1 or RR had mobile data for Verizon.
When I flashed by TWRP backup of /system, I had data again.
According to 6Binford, my APN settings are correct.
Thanks!
If you upgraded from something other than the most recent -44 build, I think you need to update the radio. You can find that in the official CM thread for the Turbo.
I've tried flashing radio files but still no data.
I've also noticed this notification every now and then, even though I am in an area where data works perfectly fine on stock ROM, and even though before this pops up I still had no data:
Data roaming
----------------------
You've lost data connectivity because you left your home network with data roaming turned off.
