Best Regards
Wrong thread.
I am pretty sure you need ERE27 or whatever....
Wrong section, Post in Q&A. This section is for devs.

Do a search for stock images.
Modaco offers stock full update.zip for ERE27 and ERD79.
You to install a custom recovery.

Looks like you have the AT&T N1, which you will need to unlock the boot loader and put a custom recovery on to get it updated to the current 2.2 out there now.
The current 2.2 that has been released is for the T-Mobile phone only (from Stock that is) which is ERE27.

OTA failed on ERE27

Hi everyone
Two days ago I received a notification for 2.2 installation.
The process failed, i'm still in 2.1
I have unlocked the phone and rooted it using modaco superboot.
Is that the reason why the update failed ?
What can I do ?
Try a manual update ?
Go back to an unrooted version ?
Thanks !
If you have a custom recovery then i believe you'll need to flash it manually
I did not replace the stock recovery...
So, what can I try ?
update manually to a FRF91 ?
go back to a non-rooted ERE27 ?
Yeah try manually then see what happens.

About half way down choose the appropriate link. I don't know how savvy you are and if you know what you're doing so if you're unsure of anything read up first
Hello
Thanks for replying
Just tried to manually update to FRF91
I get a "assert failed..." when recovery checks system..
Hummm
What can I do ?
Get back to a stock unrooted rom ?
Try a custom rom ?
exact message :
assert failed : apply_patch_check("/system/lib.modules/bcm4329.ko" [some hexa codes]")
E:Error in /sdcard/update.zip
(status 7)
Any clue ?
Can I try to get back to ERE27 using stock ROMs ?
And then try again an update to FRF91 ?

[Q] Nexus one stuck on erd79

i got my nexus one shipped with ERD79 . the phone was upgraded to frf91 thanks to the OTA. i had used metamorph to change the power control widget to transparent.
This morning i received the frg83 update but it failed and it threw an error stating settings.apk has been changed.
i downgraded my N1 using the passimg.zip file . its now on erd79 but will not upgrade to frf91 . when i check in system updates it states my system is upto date.
How can i get froyo on my phone now?
Upgrade to FRF91 via PASSIMG.
i am currently downloading the Nexus One FRF91 system image from developer.htc.com . do i rename the file to passimg.zip?
Yes. In case you're not sure about something - in the Wiki there's "restore" guide.

i renamed the file signed-passion-img-0713_FRF91.zip to PASSIMG.zip .. it goes through the process of checking the passimg.zip but comes back to the screen with the options fastboot recovery clear storage
Looks like the download didn't finish correctly.
i redownloaded the image , it came up with a signature verification error . i have now upgraded the phone to frf83. but i still not getting ota to frf91.

[Q] Can't update to official 2.3.4

Hi, this problem really affected be for one months, I don't know can I asking such question in here but I can't find anybody to help me.
When I accepted the OTA update it rebooted the phone and installation started but soon i was getting a triangle with exclamation sign in it sign on my screen. I tried serval time and the results are the same.
Then, I decided to update my N1 to 2.3.4 maunally. I've follow the procedure but some messages have been shown.
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
Installing update...
Verifying current system
assert failed: apply_patch_check(“/system/fonts/DroidSansFallback.ttf”, …..)
E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
P.s. My Build Number: GRI40 and the N1 are 100% stock rom
what should I do now?
Thanks all!
Follow the unroot/restore guide in the wiki...
Dear danger-rat
Thanks for your reply, but i never rooted my N1 before
Doesn't matter. The guide just does a clean install of the stock ROM, which is going to get you back to a working phone...

Is it doesn't matter restore stock Froyo ROM if my N1 version is 2.3.3 because i just find out FRG83 ROM from wiki
Is there any methods to reinstall my 2.3.3 ROM?
Ya just do what he said with the 2.2.1 and update back the 2.3.3.
Basically, once you get the stock Froyo on your phone, the updates will follow shortly afterwards...
