what do u mean????oh u must have a iphone 4 don't hold it lmao
No, I am anti-Apple.
What I mean is working on Froyo for Milestone is futile because locked bootloader prevents Us from loading it to our devices.
Such work is in my opinion pointless until someone develops a method to overgo bootloader defences.
Ya, if we can get through with the bootloader i think we will be able to use the droid ROM
will some developers are working on it...maybe a dev from here can look into this http://and-developers.com/motorola_milestone
Just because they're working on it doesn't mean they're getting anywhere. A valiant effort to be sure, but doesn't change the fact that Motorola dicked us hard in the first place.

I would actually like to know this as well.
I think thats just files installed over a 2.1 kernel/sbf which has been modded. But froyo is a different firmware all together. I know dexter said it was a z image from zeus droid, left over from the port done there for droid. Its also meant to be taken off the wwe latest version for htc desire. Good work overall, but i still want froyo i need apps2sd working on 2.1 still ain't got it down yet, without wiping or loosing the lot. Add apps on sd card from 2.2 and also the adobe flash, and it will be a brilliant device!
I still feel very dissapointed about the locked boot loader as i really would like to have custom roms comming from the winmo scene previously.
Teleus coming out in July .........but when came the froyo for Milestone DACH ?
its the GSM Version ?

yeah i believe it's flash 9 right now. doesnt work on all pages yet but better than nothing.
hero flash
its not the best but it good enough for now...... it can load most pages that have flash, but its flash heavy site u will have hard time interacting with that page.
Its been asked quite a few times so hopefully searches will point to this thread in the future. As kusotare has mentioned, Adobe are working on it and even made parts of Flash open source for others to work on it.
Hero has it but its only Flash 9 but soon enough (most likely on better hardware) there will be much better flash support in terms of speed and usability.
Is it just me but i rilly don't care about flash on my phone.
i so know im about to get flamed for saying this ^ haha

Magics will be given to dream owners.
You should have gotten the magic since it has more ram and will be supported longer with updates.
You can always use search button or even simple google search:
"Rogers Dream+Root" heres one

Well.. I use AT&T's 3G, as I live in the US. So, I had to "import" it from Canada. I already have a jailbroken iPhone 3G S. So, I really don't want another touch screen phone with the same form factor. The G1 has the physical keyboard and seems like it could make a pretty good back-up phone. Do you think it's pointless for me to keep this G1, even if I get the latest and smoothest ROM available???

The HTC Dream is the only phone with Android that I can think of that has support for AT&T's 3G network AND a physical keyboard. The BACKFLIP is coming out, but ... yeah, I'll pass on the whole MOTOBLUR OS. Also, what are my chances of bricking the phone? Seeing as I've never done this before and have no clue where to start.

First you need to root and if your successful then you can worry about using roms.

Why not just use launcherpro. That should get rid of it.
ive got a port on my milestone, maybe the port can assist droid users as well somehow, if the right people try?
only problems i see, is that we need 512MB memory, and droid / milestone got 256MB which cause it to show many "Low memory" errors in the logs.
but becides that im sure the droid 2.2 kernel can easily be used with droid2 and solve problems i see when using it on a kernel 2.1 on milestone...
you are soo lucky!
i am very interested in your work dexter could u or someone els point me in the right direction to porting this to droid i tried porting your motosense to my droid because it looks like it works way better than zd well lets just say that failed badly but it would be great if u or someone els gave me some instructions on how to port this cant be that hard right almost all of the hard work is done thanks for your work

The easiest port ever was probably the Desire ROM to the Nexus One, research before you write.
I've been asking to get Blur ported from the X for a while but no one has done it. Its to the point where i might offer to pay someone to do it.
i was talking to jamezelle on twitter and he said h might just do it some time but not untill sense ui 2.2 port is finished and let me sayit is great almost a daly driver so the guy isint dum and knowes how to port and theres a port for the milestone so it will be really easy

wait, the blur from the d2 or dx, or the old motoblur?
I was thinking about porting it, but its only 2.1 so its pointless.
RELEVANT TO US BECAUSE WHEN WE GET THE UPDATE, IT LOCKS THE BOOTLOADER.
IF THEY LOCK IT FOR THE S6 EDGE, THEY'LL LOCK IT FOR THE S6!
DO NOT TAKE THE OTA IF YOU DON'T WANT A LOCKED BOOTLOADER.
Unassuming Galaxy S6 edge users are in for a surprise, as T-Mobile appears to be rolling out a freshly cooked OTA based on Android version 5.1.1 Lollipop for the device. The catch, however, it is so far reported only on the T-Mobile network.
XDA forums user Sunderwear mentioned about the OTA a couple of hours back (at the time of writing this story). Urged by other users of the device, the poster also uploaded a video of his Galaxy S6 edge running the latest firmware. The video can be found at the end of this article.
As noted from the narration, the update also locks the bootloader on the device.
So, how many of you have already received the update? What do you think of it?
Source: http://www.sammobile.com/2015/04/29/android-5-1-1-ota-being-rolled-out-on-t-mobile-for-the-s6-edge/
Looks like someone in the Edge forum was able to downgrade the bootloader and flash TWRP but still, tread carefully.

Coming from the ROM Flashing mecca of HTC and finding a place in Samsung is.. weird to say the least. I find that there are only minor things I need that require root but I no-longer need the overhaul that I needed with HTC. It's too weird.

BOOM. Bootloader news is great news
Isn't it odd that just one guy has gotten the update? T-mobile has sold hundreds of thousands of these units and only one guy got an OTA?
I'll believe it when I see it.
Is it possible to do the update if we are rooted? And I mean UPDATE not flash the entire new release.

This type of thing might happen with a lot of updates. You need to remember the rooting/moding community is very small compared to the people who just use their phone as is. So if anything I think its weird that someone in this community got the update.
Hey I hope it's true, I for one hope it fixes the memory management and battery issues.
According to this guy, it looks like the XDA member was part of a "Soak Test", or he is a guinea pig. Hopefully it doesn't take months to test it.
