GPS is a technology, not an app. Lots of apps use GPS. What do you want to do? For example:

If Tomtom o IGo does not have maps for yor country, use a program like GPSTuner in which you can create maps for any area in the world taking them from Google Maps.
You can also use Google Maps mobile or Windows Live Search to load maps on the go and perform local search.
Maltese maps
Hello daniell
If you are from Malta you can check at Medcom Gzira (the one infront of Paul and Rocco carwash in Testaferrata street). I know a person who have a kaiser and installed Garmin software with maltese maps and he's using gps without problems. Only drawback is that maps and software are about the old LM40.
Regards,
I broguth the HTC Kaiser, and i though i have 1 free download from TOmTom, but i cannot seem to find where i cna get this download, can someone tell me, thanks
There are Garmin Navigator Maps for Malta, which are able to route you to your destination (not only showing your position on the map).

How do you use the GPS on the Tilt without having any commercial GPS software?
I thought Google and Microsoft had some sort of free online GPS software, but I can't find/figure out how to use it...
Google maps works well on the Tilt: http://www.google.com/gmm

I have been using GPStoday that I got from here. sorry dont know the link, but it works great from me. using tower settings and unlimited data from AT&T
Also you may want to have a look at nav4all... free turn by turn gps navigation. The UI is a bit clunky but it works and it's free!
i am sorry to inform you this but good things does not come free
Google maps are free and fine
but they are no way to be compared with navigon or destinator

Yup! For looking up where something is I'll usually use Google Maps. It's easy to zoom and pan the map.
But, for driving somewhere I'm not familiar with, I've gotta go with the paid solution... TomTom Navigator.

I'm using Garmin Mobile XT.. The conection GPS is very fast.. Without commercial or trial..
For driving you need audible instructions. I tried using Google maps to get somewhere but I had to keep looking at the screen.
Either get a commercial application or if you need free try Nav4All as someone suggested above. It's nowhere near an IGO8 or Tomtom but it's free (for a year or two).
my contry disable GPS on ROm
how can i enable it in un hard-spl 3g
use an application like igo to see if it is disabled for real.
It is ROM disabled. So we need know how to enable GPS in the ROM?
Thanks a lot
u must have a map to use gps like tomtom or something else

I install iGO and it couldn't find the GPS enabled.
Also when run QuickGPS, it return error
"The file 'QuickGPS' cannot be opened.
Either it is not signed with trusted certificate,
or one of its components cannot be found.
If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."
Please help to find a solution to fix this error, then enable GPS.
Thanks
on igo, go on settings, next page, GPS, and uncheck that option and press autodetect, and should work.

Samsung Navigon is the best GPS SatNav application I've ever tried. It's free and doesn't need internet connection to run.
You just have to download and save the required Map to your Internal SD Card at first start, after that it will work like a stand alone GPS SatNav.
If you like additional features of the application like Speed Warning, there is a paid version you can opt to buy.
