How to uninstall CWM Recovery

Hi,
I installed CWM recovery 5.0.2.6. after installing it i found out that installing a custom rom will void my warranty. I couldn't find the stock rom i had in my Galaxy Mini on Web. It is S5570XWKQ5.
Is there a way to uninstall CWM recovery without flashing another rom ? Can you please help me in detail because i am quite a noob in these matters.
Regards,
Please help
If it is not possible to uninstalll, can you please tell me how if it is possible to downgrade to Clockwork Mod Recovery v4.0.0.5. And how can i do that ? I am sorry about being urgent about this but i am really stucked.
To remove CWM you can delete /system/bin/hijack and /system/bin/logwrapper
Then rename /system/bin/logwrapper.bin to /system/bin/logwrapper.
At least this is how it was on froyo. will probably hold true for GB.
I guess had to say this, i haven't flashed or rooted my phone with a custom rom. My version is 2.3.4 and i couldn't find any hijack on /system/bin
I used ES Explorer to delete logwrapper.bin but couldn't manage to do it. I guess that is because it is not rooted so ES Explorer can't work as Root Explorer.

Just. flash your rom with original GB firmware using ODIN and then you will get stock recovery. If you know your rom details download one from sammobile.com and then falsh it using ODin.
I know that it is possible to get back the stock recovery by flashing it with my current rom.
But problem the problem is this my current rom does not exist online. It is the turkish rom and you can only find it by going to the technical service and paying a certain amount.
So i have to do this w/o getting installed a stock rom.

Then I guess you will have to do so OR, just stay with CWM recovery installed on your device.
I don't want to pay 30$ for just a single rom flashing.
Is it possible to backup my current rom and then flash a custom rom with cwm 5.0.2.6 without getting bricked.
Worst case scenerio if would have bricked the thing could i restore the backup i would have had or flash a custom rom.
Please help me yagya. I came to this point by not reading carefully your cwm installing guide.(noticed the 5.0.2.6 warning but it was too late) i am not blaming or anything just aiming your conscience.

hi xisini steps are there
1. just download any gingerbread rom for galaxy mini from net whether it is European Russian or any area else
2. if it is 4 package file open all the files with winrar or 7zip in any of the file there will be a recovery.img file extract it
If it is a one package file then it will be easy to find recovery.img
3. download alphazip software from net install it and create a tar package with the software put recovery.img file in the tar package
4.use odin to flash the tar package to youroo galaxy mini and you will get the gingerbread recovery

So, you mean to tell you have CWM v5.0.2.6 and you want to get rid of it just because you saw a warning on my post.... If yes, then don't worry, CWM v5.0.2.6 works fine (at least for me). Try for yourself. But, since many other complained to me about flashing error with latest CWM I included the warning.
However, If it doesn't work OR if you want to go back to CWM v4.0.0.5, simply flash the CWM v4.0.0.5 from Odin using One package option. You will get CWM v4.0.0.5 on your device.
Also, downgrading to stock recovery if you are using custom rom is not recommended. Just flash older CWM recovery and everything will be fine. If you need any help follow the link on my signature.
I hope I understood your problem and it will help you. If I am wrong please correct me.

Samsung Galaxy Mini problem recovery mod

I bricked with black screen my galaxy mini and I went to my servis where they repaired but I noticed a problem the factory data reset not working, working but not reset the phone and recovery mod not working(home + power = does absolutely nothing) download mod end ramdebug work.
What can I do to working recovery mod end factory data reset?
Froyo or Gingerbread ? For GB, head over to dev section, look for Andro-ID thread and search for Enhanced Recovery (XXKPF). Or maybe you could flash a full FW using Odin

I use Gingerbread 2.3.4 S5570XXKPK kernel version [email protected] #1
is risky to make me go full flash without a recovery mod?
Full flash with one package or 4 files ?
After your phone was repaired, did you already have XXKPK installed (by Samsung guys) or you just flashed it yourself when you got home ?
Anyway it's not about one package or multi-files; it's about how many files are actually going to be flashed.
Open your TASS.OPS (just use notepad or any text editor) and you'll see a list. These are the complete name of files that Odin should flash to internal system partition.
Now each time you want to flash firmware using Odin, extract all the archives if you have multi-package (even .tar.md5 should be extracted using WinRAR or any app you choose). Count how many files you have. Find out what's missing from total of 10 files in TASS.OPS. Chances are your firmware file already has recovery.img in it. If so, then proceed with flashing. If not, find other FW that has it.
Btw, XXKPK is for eastern europe, so in case you need other FW, make sure you use from similar region.

Yikes ! Try flashing this recovery mod (from Mediafire) :

You can put it in PDA section in Odin.
Edit :
You need to rename the file
from
xxxrecoverytar.md5
to
xxxrecovery.tar.md5

If I try to make full flash with another version( S5570XWKQG) After installation will go working recovery mod ? Is risky to make full flash if not working recovery mod?
Sent from my GT-S5570 using Tapatalk
Maybe yes, maybe not. We don't know, unfortunately.
When you flash recovery.img (either from full flash or just a single recovery mod), Odin will flash it into recovery partition. So, in theory, your existing recovery partition will be overwritten by recovery.img
Btw, it's past midnight here, so I'm off, hope you work it out right.

And if I put a new firewall (full flash) the recovery mode (home+power) will work??

[Q] i9000 tried to flash CM9...kinda fsck'ed

[email protected],
after successfully flashing CM9 to my Defy I convinced my friend to go to ICS as well...so far so good/bad!
I followed the guide to install CMW recovery and did a backup of the stock ROM.
After this I copied CM9 nightly and the google apps package to the internal memory...apperantely the zip package of the google apps was bad, so i tried to boot into CM9..it took a damn long time, so I removed the battery (OK, bad move...but so be it don't bit*h about it!)..CM9 booted but said someting about "encryption of the storage failed..please do a factory wipe"......I did so, using CWM recovery...which ended me up in a boot loop without having access to CMW recvry.
So I thought, flashing the zImage again with heimdall will have the bootloader rewritten (maybe the 2nd bad move this day) so I can access recovery again...I imagined zImage was kinda like a BIOS of a PC...apparently it is NOT
After some google-f00 I found out I have to flash an official FW from samsung, with repartitioning, using odin, am I right?
But the probel is, that they tell me to do a *#7465625# to find out details about the stock firmware...but this is not bossible because the phone hangs at the galaxy s boot logo.
So my question is...what can I do to access either recovery or the stock firmware with a phone stuck at boot logo (i can boot into download mode) and having only a nandroid backup of the stock rom?
Can anybody tell me what to do without spending 200 coins to obtain another SGS for my friend (Yeah, I told him that the risk is to brick the SGS, but I have a kind of guilty conscience.
Hope someone can help...
Thanks a lot!
Odin doesnt care about whats currently on your phone . Just go to samfirmware. Com, find a nice stock rom (2.3.3) for i9000, and flash it with odin. If you dont know how to use odin: use the search button in the i9000 section ''how to use odin''. keep us updated / or if you have any other questions

hey
when i screwed my sgs, odin + darky ressurection rom helped
i can't post a link , google "Darkys_v9.2_Resurrection_Edition.zip" ,though i can't remember if i used that version. some got removed, try to look for a sourceforge link. That still works
and see the reply above how to use odin
Hey,
There are also lots of tutorials on youtube, and other sites to show how to flash an original rom. I also screwed up my install of CM9. And then I followed this guide to get the original rom running again.
w w w.theandroidsoul.com/download-install-xxjvs-firmware-update-galaxy-s-i9000-to-android-2-3-5/
After that, use this link for rooting + CWM:

Greets from Holland !
PS: can't link -_- so you have to copy and paste the URL.

hmmm... i read from another site there are some custom rom that requires the phone to be in a rooted stock rom or another custom rom...
example:
to install Galaxy S GT I9000 with Orange Amestris v7.3 ROM Custom Firmware you need to be on stock XWJW1 or XXJVU Firmware since the baseband of "amestris" would be on xwjw1 or xxjvu or custom rom with the same baseband...
what stock rom/firmware the phone was in anyway?im guessing gingerbread stock rom? you still got a chance to update it right since you can access download mode...
from what i can remember, i updated my boyfrnd's s2 from gingerbread to official ics from "sammobile".com (remove quote)
then updated it to a custom rom...
well this might be irrelevant but this is how i updated my galaxy s:
well on my galaxy s i updated it from gingerbread stock rom rooted to gingerbread miui then to ics miui andy's version, since im on ics i have successfully tried different ics custom rom like darknight, slimics, elite etc...
hope this kinda help =]
Thanks a lot...I flashed the original firmware (it didn't start properly, but I don't care) and with this was able to flash the zImage again...then I was able to access bootloader and reinstall CM9

I'm currently trying to create a prerooted rom the way I did it for my tablet.
Extracting the system image from the Update package was easy, currently I'm trying to mount the syste,.img to set the rights and add the SU binaries.
If this works out, how can I flash this ROM?
With KIES? Or Update.zip on SD?
Is there an Update mode, and how can I get there?
edit: Okay... I was able to mount the System.img, but this is not that straight forward as in the img of my tablet.
I found a lot of folders, but no .apk, known folder or something I could work with.

Could you explain with some derail how did you unbricked the phone?

Hi guys, I'm pretty new here.
I was wondering if there is any official 4.1.1 Jellybean for SIII Mini, 'cause my phone is pretty dead at this moment. I tried to download from official servers some packages , and use them with Odin ...but the phone is still at the main screen " Samsung Galaxy S III Mini GT-I8190 ". Any ideas how to manage with this ?
Or can I use another firmware, as 2.3.4 Gingerbread? To downgrade the device just to work?

Do you tried to get some of this firmwares:
samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I8190
and installing with:

Yes, I have tried with my provider's firmware , but nothing happened. Still at logo screen. I have also tried with other firmwares, but still at a dead end. Right at this moment I'm flashing my phone again, hoping that something will change.
Had it stuck by flashing custom boot.img. Solved it by flashing 1 file image from samfirmwares as pda in Odin 1.85 default settings

Well, if the recovery mode can be accessed with Volume Up + Home + Power, then I can say that my S III Mini won't get into it.If I press these buttons the phone just gets on, and remains at Samsung Logo. So that is why I'm asking for a PIT file, 'cause I can't get into recovery mode to erase all data, so I can flash my phone again using Odin.
I have tried all official firmwares and still nothing. I guess my SIII Mini partitions are a little (or a little more) messed up, and I need to use Re-Partition from Odin so I can revive my phone. And to do this I need a PIT file from a working phone.
Or there is another way to get into recovery mode, excepting Volump Up + Home + Power?
Thanks for the answers.

Well, the NsPro tool requiers a box, that costs 170$. The program is useless without that box. I have downloaded it and doesn't work without that box.Another solution is by using a JTAG box, which does the pretty same thing, but again, it is expensive.
I was thinking that if I'll repartion my phone it will resolve the boot.img file, because it's in the "softbrick" at this moment.

Have you tried emailing or phone SAMSUNG`s helpline, they might help.

[Q] Noob try to root Samsung Galaxy S i9000

Hi all,
firstly I would like to mention that I know that there are a lot of tutorials how to do this..but..I currently can't find the instructions to the latest "stock ROM" (I think its JW6 - if I am not correct feel free to correct me) root..
I would like to know these things:
1) How to root mentioned phone with this ROM?
2) I am not pretty sure but with my HTC WildFire S I didn't need to flash "kernel"? What it is and am I right that i need to flash it?
3) Will I have recovery (like CWM, ..) right after root or will I need to make some more to get recovery?
Sorry for posting this kind of answers - I think that they are already answered but I am little "confused" from information which I get from the internet.. I have already rooted and flashed custom ROM to my HTC WildFire S but with Samsung it looks for me quite "strange" and I really don't know what to do and I also don't want to end up with broken phone..
Thx all which will help me
First you need to download Odin and the Samsung USB driver.
Then download the root file from here. Search for JW4 since there is no root file for JW6. JW4 will work just fine.
Unpack the root file you downloaded.
Boot your device into Download mode by holding down the volume down + home + power buttons.
Open Odin and click AP. Then select the root file (.tar) you downloaded.
Connect your device to the computer and click Start (Make sure re-partition is not checked).
That's it.
Yes you will have CWM Recovery. To boot into CWM Recovery hold down the volume up + home + power buttons.
Hope this helps.
Guys, last compatible version of Odin for i9000 was 1.83, period.
Use JVU or JVZ as only those contain the bootloader you need for any 4.x custom ROM, no other Gingerbread firmware contains it.
@KoFiler on HTC you needed just a custom recovery. Here is the same, but as the recovery can not be flashed on i9000 separately, the package "zImage" contains also the kernel. So you must find a custom kernel that matches the firmware and flash it with Odin to get the custom recovery in package.
