Apps won't save to SD on JAC hero rom

I have it correctly partitioned I have EXT3 but the apps keeps saving to internal memory. Any one have an idea?
Most likely you did NOT set it up correctly. Reformat your card and reflash it. Also you might be mistaken because cache takes up room fast if you browse the web.
I will try that and see what happens. Thanks
did it and still nothing.when i go to settings and check internal mem its only 79mb and goes down when i add apps

Apps2SD Question: Apps Installed Out of Market = Internal Memory?

Hello everybody, I searched but I'm couldn't quite find this issue I'm having.
I recently installed Cynanogen's latest rom, 4.0.1, and recently partitioned my 1gb SD card for automatic APPS2SD.
My apps are now installed in the second partition of my SD card after I rebooted, but now, if I install an app outside of the market, for example, I may have an APK file on my sd card and I install via Astro/OI File Manager, it takes up my internal memory, rather than the SD card.
I'm just wondering if this is just how apps2sd works? If I install apps via the market, it takes up the space on my sd card, which I believe is how it's SUPPOSED to work.
Thanks!
Edit: Sorry, I thought I was on the right section, please move.
Sorry I don't know how to help you, but no that is not supposed to happen.
Cyanogen's version of apps2sd installs the apps on the ext2/3/4 partition but leaves the data on the internal memory of the card.
to make sure the apps are on the sd card, use terminal emulator and type:
Code:
su
ls /system/sd/app
If it complains about the direcory not existing, go through the partition instructions again. if you see a list of assorted .apk files, your apps are on the SD card.

Choosing Apps where to install

Hi,
I was wondering if there is a way to pick where one wants to install Apps. e.g. I have partitioned my SD Card using RA recovery manager. Any market apps i install get installed on my sdcard. Is there a way so i can choose if there is a specific app that i need to install in internal memory. I want to install voip related apps on internal memory in hope i will get em working better. Since i partitioned and apps get installed on sd card i am having some problem with those apps just wanna try to install these on internal memory and see if it will make the problem disappear. But still i want rest of the apps on sdcard.
Thanks

Running Cyan's 4.2.15.1. - Apps installing to phone Memory

Hello Everyone, I was hoping someone could tell me if there was a quick fix or if I need to do a reinstall & add something that I didn't add.
I noticed today, my phone telling me it is running low on space & when I checked, it said I only had 9 megs left on the phone memory, however it did show I still had 465 megs on the secondary sd memory free.
I decided to try & install an app to see if the sd memory would go down or the phone memory. Well, the phone memory went down, but not the sd secondary.
I'm looking at the storage & unmount sd card & format sd card are "grayed out"
I also do have a \system\apps folder with some apps, along with the same one under \sd card\system\apps which that also has some apps.
Is there something I can do that can fix this? Or something else I need to check?
The only thing that I didn't do originally was create a swap partition.
Thanks
i believe if u reboot your phone all apps get thrown into ext partition. also try using cachemate , that will free up tons of space on your phone

If you want to have your apps on your sd card then you need an ext partition. You cannot currently house your apps on your sdcard.

setting install location??

STOCK BASED ROM:how to set install location to internal memory?? that is how to force apps to install to internal?? su pm setinstalllocation 1 doesn't work...after setinstalllocation 1 if i enter command getinstalllocation it shows 1 (internal) still apps dont get installed to internal!! please help
Some applications request to install to the sd card, as long as there is an sd card, it will install to sd card, perhaps manually moving them would be the solution. It isn't a very good idea to store all the applications to the internal memory as it is limited, unless you have a kernel with memory hack.

YES I DO have an int2ext4+ script so memory isn't a problem for me...in cm7 roms it's able to install all apps automatically to internal...but stock sucks at it!!
