I've been running the FRF83 build since it leaked and havent had any problems except one. After taking pictures on stock camera it will display the picture fine but when i look at it through the gallery the picture is two tone where the bottom portion seems opaque like. the thumbnail is fine but the two tone even shows when i send the pic through text or email. sorry if this issue is posted somewhere else.

So right now I have SuperD installed on my phone and everything looks nice but I have one gripe. Some of my contacts are not saved as square contact pics (ie. they can be rectangular, etc), and when they call me or I call them, the dialer stretches my contact pictures to squares which usually result in very ugly looking pictures. Is there a phone.apk that has this fixed? I was using the dialer that came with SuperD and updated to xenio2000's phone.apk but still no luck.
Hi All,
Not sure if this was ever brought up in this forum ?
When I attach a picture to a MMS, the picture will always be display horizontally.
So even if I take a picture vertically, inside the MMS the orientation will be wrong.
But the picture will display with the right orientation in the Gallery.
It's not that big of a deal, but it's annoying to have to flip your phone every time you receive a MMS...
So do you guys know if there is a way to fix that ?
I tried replacing the Samsung Stock Messaging apk with the Vanilla one from Google, but it didn't fix it.
Any other ideas ?
Thanks!
i have the same problem...it's really annoying when uploading to fb and then having to go into fb to rotate it
My current work around for that is to use a third-party Camera App (like Vignette) and use it when I select Attach/Capture Picture in the MMS app.
But if I have a vertical picture that's already in my gallery I can't find a way to attach it with the proper orientation.
Glad I am not the only one having that issue.
I've been having problems with saving mms pictures lately. When I saved pictures in the past I would have no problems with it when I checked the download file in my gallery. Recently when I saved a mms picture, it's thumbnail picture is the same as an old picture I deleted awhile back. It has been saving pictures lately with that same old thumbnail but when I click on the pic its the right one I just saved. I would save others and it would do the same thing but with recent pictures. When I delete the picture with the old thumbnail picture and save another picture it would save it has the same old picture. Sorry if I'm confusing anyone but I need help. I guess all the picture that are being saved through "file.jpg" is saving old thumbnail pictures that I already deleted.
Well if you understood my problem... Is there a way to fix it? I just want to be able to look at my thumbnails to see which pictures are which without clicking on the picture itself.
Please help if you can. Thanks!!!!
Hi all,
I synced my gmail to my HD7 and everything seems to be working fine except for the fact that I cannot receive picture images (jpegs). I am able to see that I HAVE an attachment (ala the little paperclip) but when I go into the email there's no image attachment to be found.
I am able to open word and pdf attachments normally but for some reason cannot receive photo images.
Any input would be appreciated!
Thank you
Something similar happens to me....i go to download the picture or whatever
and when i view it, it opens the gallery but the screen is just black...
doesnt happen too often but annoying
Everytime I save a photo to a contact it'll be full res, (no bubble effect over it) But when I update my phone and have to wipe everything, the same contact will now have the bubble effect over it cause it was downloaded as a low res picture, I have check the box for big pictures to be downloaded over wifi and mobile network but the picture is still low res.
I need my google contacts pics to be uploaded in full quality and not downsized when synced.

Click to collapse
I got the exact same problem and always assumed that the hd pics are only stored on the phone while the ones on google are low res so when the contact pics are synced back to the phone all you can possibly get is the low res variant hence the bubbles.
Just last week my new Nexus 10 proved me wrong: Set it up, synced the contacts -> all pics got transfered as high res ...
Beats me what the difference might be ...
For me, it doesn't work at all. I had a Samsung Galaxy S3 before i switched to the One. On my S3 i synced with google Contacts and had many HD Photos. So what i am doing wrong?
i had this issue with all my phones i mean s1 s2 s3 and s4 both with stock or CM roms but when i tap on the photo it's downloaded in HD.
Same here i have HTC One and i maintain all my contacts in gmail. Have some pictures assigned to contacts that i like and when synced for the first time they have bubbles its annoying when we call that person and to see the contact pic blurred. Only the facebook photos are shown in full resolution. Is there any solution for this.........:crying:
Save all your contacts as favorites (starred). This is the only solution
