Hi guys, years back (before android) on my Nokia phone I use to use a software called “Nokia Movie Director”. It use to allow me to combine pictures, music and preloaded effects to create a short move (slideshow in video format).
I was wondering is there any similar application on android?
Many thanks,
Nope. You should see how great the iPhone implements that

Well no good talking about iPhone coz I’m on android
But thanks anyway,
Unfortunately, this is one area where Android apps didn't touch yet.
Hi Guys & gals.
Since VLC player has already been ported to iPhone 4, & the sources available for anyone to comile it for any other platform of his/her choice, what's stopping someone from porting it?
Advantages:
- dont bother about conversion, can play all.
- many others that are not apperent to me as of now .
The source code page - http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-sources.html
I know this thread doesn't belong in this forum, will be tossed to the appropriate one at appropriate time by appropriate people & I welcome it.
i still prefer mVideoPlayer
yeah, advantage "dont bother about conversion" is kinds pontless - we already can play everything.
would be cool if we could watch divx-streams
Thank you all for answering, but if its on iPhone 4 why not on my SGS?

same thing applies: we have something like mvideoplayer on SGS, why not on iPhone?
VLC uses software decoding/rendering to display movies. This sucks. Bad.
mVideoPlayer uses the on device codecs, which use the on device GPU to decode/render movies. This is way, way better.
So yeah, VLC can be ported, but I doubt anybody will put in the kind of insane work required when mVideoPlayer is available - with mVideoPlayer on an SGS being the best (by far) video solution for any mobile device available.
+1 for this

To be honest vlc suks big time even on windows. You can download many-many players that look better, work faster, have more options, play same amount of file types and do it faster.
Window media player classic is a good one. Search for CCCP on Google. I only use VLC for region locked DVDs.
VPlayer is good enough?

(unless you actually want the orange cone etc.)
+1 for Media Player Classic
The best one i've come across so far.
Thread moved to Q&A.
You can go to the VLC forum and see that they are working on it.

+1 for VLC.
mVideoPlayer does NOT play all formats, like .rm (Real Media Codec) which VLC does.

Such as...?
/I don't want it on my Galaxy S since it won't be h/w accelerated, but I think it's a damn good cross-platform player

Depends on your criteria. I personally prefer Media Player Classic Home Cinema with ffdshow.
Dear Xda mates,
I've got this Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Air speakers. Very nice and cool!
However, Apple being apple, I can only use my ipod or my wife's iphone to use the speakers.
I have one desperate question only...otherwise, i might have to consider to change to an iphone (which i really do not want!!!)
--> Is there an Android app out there to be able to use the Airplay function?
I tried Twonky but it doesn't work on our beloved HTC HD2. On Twonky's website, there is a mention that it might not work on some HTC phones.
I'm using darkstone's superRAM and loving it! ...but is there a patch for this?
i couldn't find anything so far.
Thanks for all your help!

Ever found a solution for this? I have the same BW-set with a Galaxy TAB. Twonky does work without any problem, but I want to stream Radio / Podcasts as well.
Double Twist and Honey Player do not work in my configuration.

G.
I just have a couple questions. I came across the look-a-like iPhone called F8, don't really know to much about it but I'm wondering if anybody else might. If anyone has any insight on the phone itself or whether or not if it would be possible to install android (any build) would be appreciated. The most I know is that even tho that it looks like an iPhone, it can not access the app store or iTunes. afraid that's all i know. Youtube isn't that helpful either. Thanks
There is an Iphone look-alike that runs android 2.3. Google it or youtube it.
here is one of the phones that i found.

Hello
I just bought a Chromecast, and how amazed I was by it, my dad found it amazing as well. He wants to see arabic and kurdish tv shows live, but I have not come up with an app that not only streams them, but it doesn't gives me a opportunity to either use chromecast, or use a external player ( where I would pick localcast)
It would mean the world to me if you could help. And Yes I have searched and searched without luck :/
EDIT: I should mention I am using a t HTC one X
kurdish? wtf kurdish is NOT a language serefsizler.
