Android Market For Root?

Is it possible to use market and view paid apps on a rooted G1? If so is there a certain app or rom that allows you to buy paid apps from the android market? Already searched on google but found nothing much.
http://www.google.com/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=market+enabler&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
why thank you kind sir =) guess I didn't do enough searching ._.
No problem, it's hard to search when you don't know the right terms to use. It's a common question if your in a country that doesn't allow paid applications.

Has anyone noticed this?

both Tetris and Need for Speed Shift have been removed and re added on the market which new prices. I purchased then during the holidays and now I have to really buy wtf is that all about

I noticed this as well yesterday and just thought I had done something wrong. Where is my paid app EA?

Yeah, it doesn't show up in my apps list in the market. So unless you had it backed up titanium your probably screwed. And I have seen developers on the market put really high prices on older versions of apps to maintain support for someone who may have purchased it previously. But it seems EA decided not to go that route.
good day.
Oh wow thats... sucky... If I just copy the apk with root explorer, will that keep the game or do I really need to go buy titanium to back it up?

if you copy it with root explorer and move it to your sdcard...or pull it with adb you can keep the .apk obviously...however if you data wipe at any point your progress in a game will be gone....you need titanium to backup the app data (think angry birds scores)
really if you root titanium is essnential and worth the $5
What bugs me is the fact that I bought NFS from the market (when it was on sale) and now I have 2 NFS icons in my app drawer! The original icon is vzw bloatware wanting me to pay $9.99 for it, and obviously the other is the full game I purchased from the market, and, as expected, I can't get rid of the bloat without root! I call Shenanigans! Thank God for LP+....

Will Amazon Android Market work without root?

Has anyone seen an indication as to whether the new Amazon download market is going to work on an AT&T Captivate without a root and sideloading enabled/.
Would like to know this as well... my guess is we'll have to wait until it's live to know for sure.

[Q] Chinese HTC One - need help with getting access to US Apps

Hey there, my more experienced friends. I have been lurking for a while now, and am preeeeetty sure this question or some variation hasn't been asked yet. We'll see.
I am an American living in China and bought the Chinese unlocked dual SIM/SD card HTC One. Though I think it's a great phone, some aspects REALLY bother me.
#1 - It has this ****ty HTC Marketplace rather than the Google Play Store
#2 - I can't get the Blinkfeed to display anything but Chinese jibrish
After a few weeks of finding NO apps that I want, I took my phone to a large electronics market in Shanghai and had my phone rooted. Some things became better, some worse.
1) I asked the guy to get me the Play Store and he did...but not everything is available on it. I'm unsure why this is.
2) It's obvious that the Beats sound is no more.
3) I still can't get Blinkfeed to change whatsoever.
4) I can find more apps than before with both the Play Store and HTC Marketplace, but something is missing. I don't really know what it is.
5) The camera seems to be much less clear than it was before.
I guess my question is, since it's unlocked is there something I can do to wipe the Chinese stuff off of it and install all American software? Did the guy get me a less than optimal root? What am I doing wrong? What's the easiest solution?
All I want is for my phone to function like an unlocked US or International version. Thanks in advance for your help!
I suspect at least part of the problem is the government firewall blocking things.
You might start by installing Xposed framework and the Modaco toolkit module for it. Modaco has a setting that blocks the Play Store from checking your location.
But the best solution is probably flashing one of the custom roms with a non-carrier-specific setting. Not sure what that would do for you, but it should help.
I can confirm that the Government is blocking some of the apps. Both my phone have the play store but on is still on v3 and the other on v4. I couldn't find an airport security game and all the featured apps and top are also china-fied.

This is why VPN exists.

I suggest that you have a detailed read through this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2273570
It will tell you everything that is currently known about modifying these devices, including how to install patches for blinkfeed that will allow you to read foreign news, and facebook etc..if the firewall lets it in to china

VPN won't work.
You could have one of two issues.
If you just can't view certain apps, do a search in a browser and open the link to the play store. If certain apps can't be installed, then you need to fix it another way.
If you have a foreign SIM card, put it in the phone, empty the play store cache, restart phone. Once you restart, you will be able to view/install the apps available in the country that SIM is from.
Maybe there is a rooted method that works now, but last I checked there wasn't a reliable working alternative. I used this with my One X I bought/used in China.

Anyone ever installed Google Play Store on Chinese Phone?

Just purchased my Mi Mix Pro, but noticed on an XDA thread there is one supplier who ships the phone with Google Play Store pre-installed. I did not order from this supplier, so was wondering if I will encounter any difficulties/conflicts installing the play store apk myself. Longtime flasher, but not sure if the phone will be able to be rooted right away, so I'm hoping it's no more involved than installing an apk from unknown source. Has anyone done this with any other Chinese branded phone?
Don´t Worry.
Don´t Worry luckily we have the Goole Installer.apk for MIUI . Just download , copy to phone and install .

I have had two Xiaomis (plus some iPhone Chinese knock offs) and installing Google Play is straight forward as it sounds: grab the apk, install it manually, good to go. I had some problems with the GPS in the first Xiaomi I bought, like 3 year ago, but it was an old MIUI build and it finally got it working by just rooting and replacing the GPS data to global, about 5 minutes time.
So, don't worry.

Just download this google installer apk, install it, and let this apps working.
You can also install from Xiaomi's own store straight from the phone which always works better with all the frameworks. Just search for google installer.
