Isnt clockwork from that rom manager in the market? It has always striked me as android spyware, so to speak.
You best bet is to flashrec the latest ra-1.xx floating around here somewhere.

Try rebooting your phone.
I think at this point, you shouldnt backup if your running clockworld. Dont you have your original recovery.img from your initial root? Using flashrec, you should be able to flash that right back and get back into nandroid. (you kept your nandroid backups on your sd, RIGHT?!)
Even if clockworlds recovery isnt working, you shod still be rooted.

First things first do not under any circumstances run the 2.1 ruu. Are you still using the stock 1.5 radio?

okay I am guessing that you said yes to using the stock radio. So this is easy do you still got your original recovery image and your original nandroid? Just go into recovery and nandoid back to stock 1.5 then reboot and download flashrec and rename your original recovery image to recovery-backup and place on your sd card. Install flashrec and either reboot or open it and press restore backup image

Right on the root of your sdcard. And you may know but others might not but the root of the sdcard is just on the sdcard but not inside any folders.

setting-privacy-factory data reset
do you mean this?
If you're rooted and/or have a custom ROM, you can restore to stock using this: http://code.google.com/p/android-roms/wiki/Unroot
I need to get back to 1.6. I have installed 1.0, and with this can I go back to 1.6?
http://code.google.com/p/android-roms/wiki/Unroot
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098899
this guide shows how to root and unroot g1 and has update.zip files for 1.5 and 1.6 on bottom of OP
if u are on 1.0...u need to root ur device...do it the telnet way...then u have to install a custom recovery image...and flash donut(1.6)....
Does it matter how many times you go back to original firmware?
It shouldn't matter how many times u go back, if its rooted go to the recovery menu and have the firmware downloaded to the root of ur sd card then just install it from there or if u have a backup file from before try that out bro
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA App
Sweet. My phone updated automatically somehow lol. Also....what would cause my android OS to suddenly start running at 14 to 20% after 4 months of it running at 4%? I haven't dwnled anything new lol.
Over the air update possibly?
And what do you mean in those percents?
What are you talking about?

No homescreen after root.

1.st off thanks for the extremely helpful guides and taking the time to root this device because the copious amount of OE bloatware is horrible.
2.nd I rooted my 510 and now i have no "home" screen. I can view apps and settings and if i recieve a text i can view it by clicking the notification but if i hit home it goes straight to the google search menu?
I tried a factory reset and nothing.
Thanks in advance.

Are you running a stock rom or something else? It sounds like Sense isn't installed.
well i was on the stock ROM. but now i think i made the problem worse by trying to fix it. now it wont boot passed the HTC screen. SO i guess i need to try to load a factory boot image?

Yeah, if you've got TWRP installed I would flash a stock rom. CM11 is also usable minus the cameras.

How are you getting the zip over to the phone? Use adb push or an external sd card. You might need to wipe (factory reset) in TWRP before you try and install.
Ok it opened the zip and says flashed successful. now its just sitting on the htc boot screen hmm

Sounds like a problem with boot. Do a factory reset in TWRP, flash http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=57174863&postcount=1 and then afterwards flash that ROM.
Download the zip in this post and adb push that file to your TWRP/BACKUPS/ folder and restore like that. I forgot the other ROM I had you flash required a previous backup to have been made.
nope still stuck on the htc boot

Regarding http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-510/development/virgin-sprint-htc-desire-510-stock-t2961521 , are you going about it this way?
There's not really a rom that you can flash without already having a backup. If all else fails you can fastboot oem lock and then run the Sprint 510 RUU from http://www.htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads
dipspit that last link did it! Thank you so much for your help. Ive learned my lesson about not making backups haha.

its fairly easy, but.. there might be an issue for you. it might not flash rigjt if flashing them together using flash-all. you might have to fastboot flash each part separately.

Actually, I never heard of anyone being able to use the flash_all script on a N6 or N9?

They say if update SDK platform tools to SDK 23 (latest is version 24) flash-all works. Haven't tried it. Won't help those using the 15 minute adb/fastboot.
lot of thanks.
It's good for my phone thank all for your advice !!!:good:
