Transparent Glass Rosie Nav Bar! - Hero, G2 Touch Themes and Apps

Are you like me, tiered of the stock sense navigation bar? I have created multiple themes and I wanted to share my Transparent glass theme. Keep your eyes open for more releases!
Warning: I am not responsible for any damage to your phone! But that is highly unlikely!

glass_signed.zip - 8.6 Mb
Tested on Cronos Droid 2.0 but should work on all official WWE releases.
glass-older_signed.zip - 8.3 Mb
This patch should work for older roms based on the taiwan release.

Very Very Very nice.
thanks a lot.
I'm waiting for this since a long time. (black sense bar was boring).
Thanks again

Glad to help!

if you can making smaller nav bar it will be great...
I love my wallpaper that why..

Cool gonna flash Just wondering if you can reassign the button shortcuts (change "location" of "show apps" "Phone" etc.) when you theme Rosie because then i might also get into theming apks

looks pretty cool!

Doesn't work for me...

Yes you should be able to with a bit of knowledge. I think you can use a tool apktool and then change the encrypted xml files.

I am guessing that Rouflanos 1.2 is not based on the new official WWE RUU but on the taiwan release. The second theme should work for you but you might need to remove the first one. The files to be deleted are /system/app/Rosie.apk and /system/framework/com.htc.resources.apk and also /system/app/Rosie.odex and /system/framework/com.htc.resources.odex. Then flash the second file uploaded.

Thanks for your help.
I flash my hero with your two files and no one work.
I will try a new rom tomorrow, and try again with your "patch".
Thanks.
PS: Do you know good SU, overclock, sense ROM ?
Thanks again

Cronos 2.0 beats all for me. 710 mhz, ChainDD's Su Ui, Sense, Jit (Change background to your own. Not stock. Will bootloop), 4.9 megaflops. Also the first patch i posted works beautifully with cronos 2.0.

It isn't your theme it's just Cronos Droid that ****s:/ You should do it like this:
1. Wipe everything
2. Flash Cronos Droid, flash the SU fix and flash the extra apps (optional) EDIT: Do not flash the apps wait till everything else is working (step 10.)
3. Boot and then reboot right away (don't setup your phone)
4. Wipe dalvik
5. Boot and complete the setup
6. Change the wallpaper
7. Reboot and leave it for a second
8. Flash the JIT patch and boot
9. Reboot a couple of times leaving you phone turned on for around a minute between the reboots
10. Now you should be able to flash anything

OMG! I just had to reinstall 4 times because i thaught "I can skip that line that doesen't matter" but i've finally got it working by doing it point by point

Everytime i try to flash this my hero gets stock at the "HTC screen" and the screen turns off. Then if i press a button it turns on... But it's REALLY wierd since all your zip does is copy 2 files
EDIT: Got it working

Doesn't work on VillainROM 12.0...
Loop on boot screen

Because of requests I will try to make the villianrom 12 package. All other issuse should not occure because of the zip. All it does is replace the current 2 files with mine. Mine have no changes when it comes to code.

Very nice.
You can put the service.jar into the zip! It's easier for the user.
Followed the instructions and only the text on the notification bar changed to black. Nothing else changed. Did I do something wrong?

So you just basically download the file as-is now and just put it on the memory card and go to recovery and just flash it like a ROM?
EDIT:
Didn't work to flash the services.jar.zip file like a ROM in the recovery. So can you explain how to do this correctly then? I really want to flash this theme, it looks awesome!

try the newly uploaded file. it got services.jar included. so flashing this file will give u new theme and changed font color.
Got it to work just flashing the new file in the recovery, thanks!
One thing I noticed, the icon for when there is no EDGE activity is still black. Just wanted to throw that out there to get fixed on the next release. Also, the text when you pull down the notification bar on the date in the top left corner and cell phone provider is white and hard to see, not sure if that can be changed to black in the next release or not. Only things I really saw that needed to be fixed, thanks again!
a 10 for this theme, very nice!!! thanks

Very nice.
You make nice themes!!
Thanx for working on it and including now the services.jar.
@anybody:
If you need to go back to the original theme, it's possible with our "Original Hero Theme" in this Forum.
This contains original services.jar, too.
So you didn't have problems with that!
Nice to work together here, guys!
Tried this theme, I have MCR2.9
Now it is stuck on bootup screen!
Will have to do a Nandroid recovery.
Very disappointed. All the other themes I've tried have worked.
Looks like a nice them, wished it had worked on my phone.
edit: just used the Modaco Original theme instead (luckily I had it on the sdcard already) and it recovered.
How long do you wait?
Some themes uses the "services.jar" If there are any changes, the bootup could take some minutes.

bro in my phone it takes around 5-6 minutes to startup.
Works on MCR 3.0 does take a good 5 minutes from the HTC screen to start.
to gaz31: did you do any wipe after flashing MCR 3.0? or you just flashed the new rom(updated) and the theme still works?
plichtousek i updated to MCR 3.0 and then flashed the theme. Changed to black sense theme now, prefer the black look.

Yes, please report back with any issues.......
Ok So its a no go so far.....
I did a data/factory reset
wiped cache partion
advanced -> Wiped Dalivk Cache
Then flashed - > While flashing when it says "copying system files" the progress bar never moves
Then while trying to reboot it never makes it to the boot animation, it just stays on the htc Incredible screen
Did the above twice with the same result
hboot 0.92
radio 2.15
Does it finish the install tho? If it does, can you try flashing a custom kernel after installing the ROM just in case when I rebuilt the kernel, it didn't build correctly
Yes it says it finishes with no errors, Im going to flash a different kernel nonw give me about ten and I will Post Back....
I Just flashed the rom then KK BFS #5 and still have the same issue....Standing by for more options....
I Just flashed the rom then KK BFS #5 and still have the same issue....Standing by for more options...
Can you try deleting the system/etc/init.d folder from the zip and flash then to see if the dalvik2cache script is causing the issue. Or in recovery if you know how to use ADB, then type this
Code:
adb shell
rm -r /system/etc/init.d
reboot
I did that and still have the same issue, but I used the kernel you provided, Im going to try flashing another kernel again just to double check....
Even after removing the file, and trying a different kernel it still the same...

Does this rom have the Evo Framework on it as well?
If its still not booting then I probably goofed somewhere else and since I'm not near a PC right now, I wont be able to fix it till later tonight.
Thank for trying tho

No, everything is from the Incredible build
confirmed, asfter a complete wipe no boot
stuck at splash screen
My guess is that probably some of framework files didn't build correctly if it's getting stuck at the splash screen.
Since I won't be near a PC for a while, can someone please try replacing the framework files in the zip with some deodexed ones from someone elses ROM to see if it will boot?
Not owning the phone makes it a little hard for me to diagnose the problem but without a logcat, I can't see what it's failing to load
Im no expert but yea I will try and pull the framework and see if I can get it to work for you
I pulled thr framework folder from a working rom and replaced the one on your ROM with it.....Flashed it and still get the same result
I can troubleshoot. Pm me

circle batt mod and black bar mod-modded for cog2.2b9

this is just what ive been using personally, so its just one of the many versions but it looks good since b9 has some blue integrated into it. this also has the evo black bar mod. this took a little bit of work to do because of the added buttons in power-off screen and whatever you do dont try to use an older framework-res it will NOT work. so ive attatched the files and also a twframework.res file for the black pull down bar that looks pretty good with the black bar mod. just copy these to your internal sd card, then with root explorer copy the framework.res(or twframework.res) and go to system/framework and paste-select yes to overwrite current. reboot right after you paste. same process for both files. its recommended that you back up your originals just in case. heres some pics
for those having problems, i reuploaded these again and took them right from my framework file on my phone on b9, the only thing i can tell you to do differently is replace twframework first, thats exactly what i did step by step
also the new twframework is a little different now ill upload pics in a min.
edit: i just downloaded my own file, did what i said to do in the post and everything is fine. AS SOON AS YOU PASTE the new framework in system/framework roboot the phone. also im using launcher pro so if your using twlauncher when you do this it could cause problems-havent checked. use at your own risk blah blah...
now using the notification pulldown from inku's thread
and before anybody asks ive included the default wallpaper made by reefermattness in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=813497

Also, your partly cloudly looks like the fireball of doom for some reason, but that just may be because I just woke up.

if your not running b9 this will not work because of the extra icons for the power down menu. other than that if you are using b9, im not sure what went wrong as there is nothing in this that could cause a lock up if done correctly.

im not entirely sure about terminal but if its the same you could try
(if these are on your sd card)
not sure if you need to su or not but lets assume you do
su (you can try it without first)
cd /sdcard
push /sdcard framework-res.apk /system/framework or try this
cp /sdcard framework-res.apk /system/framework
but you should be able to do these with root explorer if done steo by step ive done it 5-10 times already with these same files on cogb9
copy from sd card
go to system/framework
press paste
click yes to overwrite
reboot
then do the other one the same way. dont try to do 1 after another. reboot after each one or youll get massive force closes. also im using launcher pro from /system/app and have deleted twlauncher. if your using twlauncher while trying this might wanna switch to launcher pro before you replace these frameworks.
and these will only work on b9 because of the added options in the power down menu
I used the Meta morph one and it ran fine on beta 9. Still kept the reboot buttons even.

Very Cool, Thanks I really like the Circle Battery Mod. My first time trying it with any of the Cog Roms. I have a question and maybe I am answering it myself but IS the Circle Battery Blue when it is Charged/Charging and Green when it is on Battery Power? Mine is green right now and I like the look of the blue. I do not have my charger with me at this time to test it. Thanks again

Welcome to AeroFire, a theme mod to make the HTC Wildfire look a little more stylish.
Based on Wilpuzzle v0.8 by danne_jo, the rom has all the same basic features, a few tweaks here and there nothing worth noting.
Everything works perfectly, fast and stable. Can be overclocked using HCDR.Jacobs kernel.
Gingerbread keyboard and Livewallpapers(Only downloaded ones work).
Installation instructions:
-------------------------
1. titanium backup your apps and stuff
2. boot to recovery
3. nandroid backup(not that its needed but there's always the chance you don't like it or that you stuff something up)
4. mount usb (partitions menu) -> paste ROM on the SD card
5. WIPE THE PHONE!
6. Wipe Cache
7. Choose install zip from SD Card
8. Locate Zip and install
9. Boot takes about 10min after install so don't panic and start posting that it doesn't work
Istallation Instructions for the Theme
-------------------------------------
1. Download theme
2. Move to SD
3. Boot to recovery
4. Flash ROM from file in recovery
If you don't want the font:
-----------------------------
1. Download theme
2. Edit the zip by opening it and deleting folder called fonts
3. Flash it in recovery
(No fix for ROM as of yet as deleting the font folder would result in catastrophy so don't! Only works for the Theme)
But for now here's the latest build:

NICE ONE!
Is it simple enuff to transfer to a new version?
as im soon gonna release my proberly last rom for wildfire very soon. v0.8
realy like your work
I can port any theme to a rom as well , but nice release. Omg danne last ever rom? haha
Nice job buddy, finally a different rom to play with. Well done!
Just like it says...works well but graphics are very bad.
JoeyDelp, congratulations! You started very very well! But... I don't know... maybe you'd better work on your project to do just theme and not a new rom. Then, maybe, you can make a lock for wildpuzzle, CM6, openfire and others. How about that?
ps.: any way that I want to put you down with it, I just imagine you working in theme more people use them to liven up, than change rom.
realy nice!

That's the htc sense dock for that theme, but if you use launcher pro, i think the status bar loses it's transparency, to keep it, use adwlauncher.

Will definitely give it a try, i only just made this thing over night. Its basically just a beta.
I would love a chance to work on the lockscreens for wildpuzzle or cm6. I have an idea to try and transfer the espresso see through background lockscreen with this style ui to this device.
But unfortunatley its gonna have to wait till monday. I have a massive LAN torunament going on over the weekend. Will be back to work on it on monday

But unfortunatley its gonna have to wait till monday. I have a massive LAN torunament going on over the weekend. Will be back to work on it on monday

Yes definitely Black Ops, not so much the strategy type of lanner. And also more about the file sharing
hey kevin how are you ment to port themes? could you make a tutorial to show me please?

That's the htc sense dock for that theme, but if you use launcher pro, i think the status bar loses it's transparency, to keep it, use adwlauncher.

how can i use a custom status bar with adw?
But i'am talking about the dock.. its not the original sense dock.. and i want to load it using launcher pro

I didn't say it was the original sense dock -.-, try getting the dock by looking in the framework of this rom.

[MOD][ICS][CWM]Flashable Quad lock screen for Stock ICS 4.0.4.

Hey guys, compiled the AOKP basic Quad Lock screen and made it flashable via CWM for the ones who love the stock "flavour" and sticks to the ota rom like me.
This can be used with stock DEODEX and ODEX roms aswell.
Hit thanks if you enjoy it .

QuadLock for Deodex roms
Quad Lock for Odex roms
Since quadlock shares the same files as Extended power menu, if you want both get this file below, only for deodex roms atm.

Look into your /system/framework/ dir, if there are many .odex files you probably got an odexed rom, else is deodexed.
I've flashed it and everything is perfect. There isn't any lag when launching the phone/message/camera app with this lock screen.
I'm currently on a ODEX rom (official 4.0.4) and running air kernel V4.0
Thanks!
And btw, post more things for ODEX roms!
*******ooooops, found a bug (glad I made an nand backup)**********
When the phone is on the dock, the lock screen doesn't work properly. The lock screen seems ok, everything is on it's place, but the shortcuts aren't working.
-When I use the camera shortcut, nothing happens;
-When I use the phone shortcut, nothing happens;
-When I use the message shortcut, I get to the phone app instead of the message app.
-And finally when try to unlock the phone, I get to the camera app.
Anyway, if you don't have a Nexus S dock, you shouldn't have any problems.
Thank you for your report.
Yes, this is not meant to be used in Landscape, ICS lockscreen rotate isn't enabled by default. Also didn't know the existance of such dock got my NS since less then a month.
Took a look again at the code and figured out wich is the problem:
the lockscreen has fixed position that overlap each other when in landscape.
Normally it doesn't matter cos Unlock goes from 0 to 1, and camera from 2 to 3.
But the problem exists when you add more shortcut:
As u can see is easy to understand why 2 were working (wrong) and 2 not at all.
This would require some more coding.

Thanks for the answer. Well, as much as I enjoyed the new lock screen, I won't be able to use it since my phone is most part of the day docked.
About the dock, it's very simple, and only charges the phone. And while the phone is docked, you don't have access to the volume keys , perhaps a design problem.

And also thanks for the ODEX mods!

Atm one overwrite the other since they involves the same files, you've to mod those files with both mods at same times to make them working like i have on my phone.
is there a way to revert back without nandroid? I get to the new lock screen, then it says apex launcher stopped working, then android keyboard, then reboots. Rinse and repeat

it was nandroid time. tried again, same thing. Not sure why it was doing what it was doing.
Nandroid again. This time, I took my framework, decompiled it, changed the lock screen rotate, compiled, signed, flashed. Same thing. Why or what would cause it to get to the lock screen then just reboot??
@technogravy will post soon a zip with both mods.
@black please report wich rom and wich file are you using , will investigate the issue.

Im on stock 4.0.4 GSM
I know yours had more changes, mine only had one change, and I even decompiled an compiled a untouched one and got the same results.
I decompiled framework-res.apk
changed <bool name="config_enableLockScreenRotation">true</bool>
saved recompiled signed and flashed
Now, Im a total noob at this, so I may have messed up somewhere, but my mod did the same thing yours did so thats where Im at.
Maybe later today, ill nandroid again, go to 100 percent stock, and try again. Now that I think of it, I have a battery circle mod that gave some issues and the guy who fixed it did something with the framework file too. :/
@black you can read the explanation few post above. This is not intended to work in landscape mode. It would require a complete code rewrite as for now the positions are fixed. So if you set that value to true it'not gonna work. And if you use other mods there's always a chance something won't work, this is the main issues of odex roms.
