Believe it or not, people are using the iPad in ways which are hard to believe!
1) Surgery Assistant
Doctors in Japan are using the iPad as a virtual assistant to conduct complex surgeries. The iPad screen displays every minute detail of the surgery and can even be hooked up to CT scan devices.
2) Kitchen Cabinet
If cooking bores you, stick up an iPad on your kitchen cabinet. Listen to your favorite songs or watch your favorite videos as you cook meals or do the dishes. Watch the latest news or learn new recipes through a few gentle taps on your iPad touchscreen.
3) Magic Box
The iPad seems to be a bit hit with magicians. With smart moves and the iPad’s sleek display, you can do a number of tricks to impress people. There are plenty of interesting iPad apps to help you learn magic and deceive people as well.
4) iPad Skateboard
This definitely has to be the most out-of-the-box idea on how you can use (and screw) your iPad. Turn it into a skateboard. Definitely not recommended for users who love their iPad.

Can't believe I took the dive haha

Ok ok I took the dive and went with a Apple product haha. I must say this phone is worth every penny. I dont even have a data plan and its still great haha (a lot of places have Wifi) I have just started modding it and I can't wait to get farther into it! So far I have already figured out a couple problems that annoyed me like not being able to see the exact time when a message was sent and also forwarding messages, thats all solved > : )

There are many free applications - here are two links
http://freewareppc.com/graphics/pdacraftpaint.shtml
http://freewareppc.com/graphics/paintwince.shtml
But there are a dozen or more on the same site - each with some what different capabilities - best to check them all out to see what meets your requirements best!!!
I've been using VSPainter LE, and have been happy with it-

Don´t have a clue...but design is so bad
May be a chinese model or something, or just a toy!?
looking at the screen i think its like one of those old brick games(thats what we call it dont know any other term)
This is really a PDA
Contacts, calendar, alarm buttons? this is really a PDA the very bones of a pda, maybe the keyboard is for entry the contacts name or type in the calculator.
I like chinese devices. Cheap, they break easily, ugly, not functioning most of the time. It is nice to buy one of them once in a while.
it does look more like a calculator
Isn't that the new Gameboy Sp phone ?
looks like an atlas
whatever that is...looks like a new version of the gameboy DS
The screen hinge would have to be indestructable.
Imported knock off
This looks like an imported knock off of one of the first Palm Pilot prototypes from 1996 designed by US Robotics and manufactured in China as a prototype that never was introduced by US Robotics "PALM corp."
looks really really bad quality, so its definatly not Nintendo lol
its just a crap cheap knock off.

Apple sues Samsung

"Apple notes these products come shipped in a rectangular case"
I thought cases used to be rectangular?

that pic made my day man
but there already is a thread like that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1040818
^^
to being with lmao
So apparently from Apple's point of view every current ( post 2007 ) touchscreen phone is copying the iPhone. In all fairness the touch wiz interface bares resemblance to the iOS one ( don't throw rocks at me, I'm just making a point ) but this is sort of pushing it. Though they are good at avoiding lawsuits... I mean who in their right mind would have conceived making a single button mouse back in '98
Damn you beat me to it,
I even have the link ready http://www.cnn.com/2011/TECH/innovation/04/19/apple.samsung.lawsuit.wired/
They are suing them because the galaxy pad have rounded corners and black borders
cant think of an xda app signature
I think this is going to end badly for apple. I don't know if they realize theyre going up against the single largest corporation(Samsung Group) in the world, they must have HEAVY influence in asia.
Typical company lawsuit. Move on.
Sent from my Incredible with the XDA Premium App.
lmao at the pic Also Apple have bought 5.7bil $'s worth of stuff from Samsung, Which Samsung has a right to use in their own products aswell... So you'd expect them to be similar if they're using the same parts
Not to mention the LG Prada which debuted and shipped long b4 the iPhone....

Articulated arm for watching movies and playing games

I was in Honduras, on a small island, in a crappy apartment with no TV, money or girlfriend. This was the product of my boredom.

It's made of wood and cost less than $5.
It's got 5 joints that allow for nearly any positioning and the actual device can be rotated to landscape or portrait. The only thing missing was a vertical rotation axis right by the nexus so it can can turn left and right. The string is a backup to stop everything collapsing on my face in the night.
Boredom is responsible for many great achievements

We really do not need that type of comment here......
OP instead of using the string on the wall.. Get two Star type locking washes on each side of the first upright angle bar.. they will dig into the wood and hold it tight without the string.... You could also file some groves into flat washers to achieve this and cut a few groves into the wood for them to seat into...
I Have a commercial made arm similar that i got for my Work van Years ago... Its in basement somewhere now
sorry to offend...
by the way, what does the term "knob" mean in your sig?
OK the idea was creative. The hands free comment was cute, give the guy a break! ?
