this kind of error is given if you try to install an apk that runs on an higher version of android...maybe in this case android 2.x...I don't know if a 1.6 version of your HTCAlbum will work on fyodor's rom...i'm not really confident...but surely if you try to install that apk on an official ruu rom (1.6) it'll give you the same error

I try it now, adb show Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_MISSING_SHARED_LIBRARY]
Thanks for you response

ok, that's because the application needs a shared library not present in fyodor's rom because his rom is a AOSP compiled, not a htc rom with few modifications...apart from the kernel, the rom is pure android with no presence of htc libraries...and without them you can't install htc apps...that's why you can't install sense anyway...
don't lose your time, there's no way to let it work...
if you can't live without htc apps, came back to an official rom or to an official customised

Hi guys,
Atrackdog just gave me a new result for facebook apk, named 1.1.1 .. obviously it is not available on the market yet, but I remember the same thing happened with the 1.1.0 version "coming" from the droid...
Does anybody know where's this version coming from?
Maybe from the 2.0.1 update Verizon customers received.
Yes...that could be it...
I just wonder why in the world they don't release these updates in the market..they know they are working even on 1.5 or 1.6 devices...

They might know but that doesn't mean it has been officially tested and supported on 1.5/1.6. Those are two VERY different things.
hmmm wonder if anyone gonna post it
so i found a dump of the update and checked it and yea there is a updated facebook apk in there .. tried installing it on my g1 running cyan latest but no luck .. i cant even push it into the system builds .. gonna mess around with it a little more and see what happens
Yes! Great! Keep us updated then...! Thanks for that ;-)

Sounds like a sentence!
You're the man!
You can't use the normal one because it's ODEX'd.
I ran it through the deodex script -> Here is the new De-Odexed Facebook.apk (v1.1.1) View attachment Facebook.zip
RENAME IT FROM Facebook.zip to Facebook.apk (DON'T EXTRACT IT)
Now when you try to install it'll say it's not for this version of the phone. You're probably going to need to change your build.prop file to show SHOLES just like before the new Google Maps came out...

will that script work with any odex'd apk? For instance, I love the world clock from hero, but cannot stand the lag from the rom. would that work?
I used the terminal to install the app.
install /sdcard/backups/facebook.apk /system/sd/com.facebook.katana.apk
it didn't give me any errors, that should mean it work... right?
Well, I don't notice a difference, is there supposed to be one?

It works on some things... Like the MyFaves didn't work. It seemed to work on the facebook apk. I pushed it also into the /system/app but it won't show in the apps dropdown. I then tried to place on the sdcard and install with App Manager but it says "not for this phone" or something like that. Might have to change the build.prop to show the SHOLES keys instead. But it looks like the APK itself is ok.

this one is the new facebook apk 1.1.1 ..pulled from the new droid update verzion just sent out .. however it wont install ..... ( at the moment )
Anybody being able to install this on a magic/dream then..?
I keep getting the same error "cannot install app on this phone" i guess for now I will stick with version 1.1.0....hopefully someone will find a fix for 1.1.1
The g1 has incorrect testkeys for 2.0 apps. You will have to edit the build.trout.prop, as was needed to get navigation to work. I do not know what other problems will come from doing this though. For me, even with replacing to old build.trout.prop, and erasing all traces of maps, I could not download the new version from the market without a wipe.
so i guess for now there is now "easy" install on a Mytouch/Magic for version 1.1.1 as it was for version 1.1.0.........
Is it even worth installing? Other than the extra ".1", does this version have anything we might want over 1.1.0?

[REQ] How to install NETCFv2 on WM 6.5.x ROM without effecting NETCF3.5?

Hi,
I have a long time problem with some of the ROMs here that I really like. My main problem is running Viigo. Some ROMs can run the application fine, but the others can't. I found out by accident that Viigo requires NETCFv2, and is not compatible with NETCF3.5. The ROM I was testing got only v2, not v3.5. I found that out because Advance Config 3.3 will not run on the ROM because NETCF 3.5 is missing. But Viigo runs fine on that ROM.
As a lot of people know, if NETCFv3.5 is cooked in the ROM, then installing NETCFv2 through cab will not work, at least to my knowledge. So I'd like to know, if there's way to resolve this problem? Thanks in advance for any contribution to resolve this problem. Thanks.

doesn't directly help your problem, but one rom I tried lately had no NetCF installed (AthineOS latest maybe?). I only know that because I installed Advanced Config and it camne up with the error. Unless someone comes up with a solution for you, maybe that rom is worth a look.

Thanks for your suggestion. But I've tried some ROMs that will run Viigo, so I know it's possible to run Viigo under WM 6.5.x. I just want to have a way to tackle the problem so I can explore more ROMs. So far I've bumped into some sexy ROMs but can't run Viigo, so I have to give up on them, including the Energy ROMs.
BTW, I think the ROM gave you problem with Advance Config might come with NETCFv2 only, not NETCF3.5. I don't know any ROM comes with no NETCF at all.
Is there any .NET guru out there can help us (or only me) out here? I've seen applications not working not only because of absence of NETCFv2, but also newer version of NETCFv3.5. For example, JVH3 Weather City Editor will not work on some ROMs with newer NETCFv3.5. Anybody can enlighten us (or just me) how to fix the NETCF compatibility problems? Thanks.

Thanks a lot. I gave the tool a try, but it didn't help. I did soft reset after I made the change. Let me play with it a bit more. Thanks.

The usual way to use this would be to install the latest version of the framework, and configure seperate applications (in the Application tab of the config utility) if they need a specific vesion of the framework.

[Q] HELP! Problems with wimo after installing Android 2.2 !!

Hey guys!
first of all: I'm new here and your work is great !!
and because your work is so great, i tried to install android 2.2 on my HTC touch pro 2 (windows mobile 6.1) and it worked... but i wanted more. i wanted to have sense UI as well on my device. so i uninstalled android to install a version, which contained sense UI.
and here the problem starts: the haret.exe in the sense UI android version started but froze instantly. so i did a softreset.
since the softreset i am unable to install new .cab files or even start apps which were not installed on the device from the beginning (which includes android).
every time i get this error:
"The file XY can't be opened. it may not have a securitycertificate or one of its components can't be found."
(sorry if the language is strange, I had to translate from german >< )
i havent found a similar problem in this forum yet. If i missed it, show me please.
otherwise it would be great, if some smart dudes could help me. I AM REALLY DESPERATE :'(
thanks a lot
1. You are new here, but this has nothing to do with rom development.
2. You need to install this cab http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3973249&postcount=1

MiPay APK

Hi guys,
I recently switched from MIUI to the cyanogenmod build for the mi5 but I would like to use the MiPay app here in China. However, I am having trouble finding a copy of the APK. Any advice on where to get it or how to extract it from a copy of the MIUI Rom?

I was able to extract this, but it is an odexed app and is not easily installable on another ROM. Anyone care to help out and convert the app to a deodexed version and give a copy of the apk to me?
bumping this. Has anyone used MiPay on Cyanogen or Lineage? I live in China and can use MiPay for my Public Trans cards. Help getting an installable APK would be much appreciated.
have u found a solution...'cause I've faced the same problem
nope. I've given up for now. I've tried to find a way to load the MIUI rom into an emulator, but it didnt work off the bat the first try and I just dont have time to do any more with it. If you have any luck, please let me know.
