phone reboots to bootloader image with 3 skateboards

i have a class 6 adata 8gb 2gb ext4 64mb swap rest fat32
im running cyanogen 4.0.2 or 4.0.4 whichever one i load up from sd at the time, but both are stable. i have newest radio and spl also. the issue is simple. i can get into recovery mode and bootloader menu. everytime i reboot it goes to bootloader menu(3 skateboards). camera button is not held down either or stuck. the only way to get past this screen is to evertime i reboot to factory wipe and install new rom which is a pain. i was wondering if by having the original image DREAIMG file in a folder on my sd is whats causing this. but now that i cant get past this screen i cant remove it from sd. i also already tried mounting sd to comp from console using: "ums_enable" it does nothing(tried it on 3 computers). im tired of reseting and reflashing. pls some assistance.
Have you tried to reflash the SPL? You could just redo the entire root process and replace everything.
New Isuue, Same Problem
Sorry it took so long to get back here. No I haven't tried that. How could it be the SPL? Im asking it in a meaningful way, like why and/or how could it be?
I will reflash the SPL tonight and edit post if it works.
I also erased my sd card and re partioned in in "parted" it booted fine. The battery died today and i rebooted it and BAM! bootloader screen again. So i factory reset and flashed a new ROM image. then it worked fine. now only problem is the private apps i have installed wont work and they get stuck on uninstalling....Whats the fix for that?
Thanks XDA!!
You need to start over and replace everything. It sounds like you have multiple problems. Use THIS guide starting with the downgrade bacause it will reflash EVERYTHING on your phone. If the problem persist then it's hardware issues. Redownload everything, don't use anything you already downloaded because these files might be bad too.

What does your Bootloader screen show for SPL? (Soft reset phone and hold Volume Down before boot starts until you get to tri-colored screen)
1.33.00 or 1.83.Olinex, or?

Where it says SPL - 1.33.0000, if you successfully HSPL, it will say 1.83.Olinex.
I suspect you didn't verify your SPL flashed correctly before you attempted to flash the ROM? If so, this is not good.
Hard reset (Reboot phone and hold both Volume Keys before device starts to boot, and continue holding them untill you get to the white screen, then follow the prompts.)
If you can get back to stock with a hard reset, I suggest you go here and do some reading.
If it gets stuck at the same screen, you will need to find your stock ROM. You can hopefully find it from HTC's site with your Serial Number.
Once you get your stock ROM, connect your phone to your PC and go to Bootloader. Once it displays 'USB' instead of Serial, run the .exe for your stock ROM.
i tried to dl stock ROM from HTC.com, but it says:
Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device.
im not sure if im on the right side, but there are only 4 options...
i downloaded original update, but from other side and while phone was connected to PC with Red green blue screen i opened the RUU everything went good until status bar (on PC and phone appeared status bar with % as it started installing, but then error) :/
So hard reset was unsuccessful?
Try flashing from SD card.
Right click on the Stock ROM and Extract to a folder.
Place the ruu_signed.nbh file renamed to TOPAIMG.nbh on the root of your SD card and then enter bootloader.
This will initiate the flash and hopefully it won't get stuck at 0%
You can also do this with the .nbh file from hspl.
Perhaps you should try to do HSPL .nbh first, because your OS is locked, it will ONLY accept the exact replacement ROM.
Also, I would suggest taking some time to read and learn about this stuff before diving in head first.
The link I provided previously is very thorough.
Take a look at the MTTY thread after you read about flashing and HSPL.
in bootloader it flash for 0,1 sec and says "Unable to load imagefile" or sth like that

Make sure it is 'TOPAIMG.nbh' exactly without quotes.
What was the error you received when you attempted from your PC?
its exactly like that,
it can be any ROM? becouse i have rom with nbh + exe files and with nbh only

No, unless you get HSPL to flash first.
If you successfully installed a ROM, it would not boot up because your OS is still locked.
Use this .nbh which is for HSPL 1.83. If you can get this to flash, do the same with HSPL 2.51, then you can flash to any ROM.
i think im lost.
can you please explain me, what should i copy to my SD card and what to do (in oredr)
thanks

Download the SPL 1.83.zip and extract the .nbh file.
Rename it to TOPAIMG.nbh and place on SD card
Enter bootloader mode and pray.
With luck, it will complete to 100%
Then you go back to bootloader and VERIFY your SPL says 1.83.Olinex. (This is the step you skipped before you attempted to flash a ROM, and you have bricked your device as a result)
Without luck, it gets stuck at 0%
Then you need to read up on MTTY to recover your device.
If you think you have your EXACT stock ROM, you can do the same with the .nbh file you extract from that, as previously instructed and get back to stock first before worrying about HSPL.
Basically HSPL unlocks your OS to be able to accept updates. Without it, you can only update from the stock image.
So your choices are, to try to HSPL, or try to get back to stock. Both can be done the same way, in bootloader using respective .nbh file.
I think you are looking to shortcut this stuff and it will only lead you to headaches, unless you take some time to read and learn.
Now, you never did answer;
Did you attempt a hard reset?
What was the error you received when you ran the RUU from your PC?
so i renamed that file, put it on card, card to phone, pushed VolDown and turned on. It flashed with loading and then again "No image file" and back to boot screen
i did few hard resets
error when i tried that "official ROM" was that: Error 294: Invalid render ID
This update cannot be aplied on this device
i try older ROM
Alight, your 294 error indicates its the wrong ROM for your device.
No Image File indicates that bootloader isn't recognizing the file.
Make sure your SD card is formatted to Fat32, you may want to try a 2-4gb card just to be sure. Sometimes larger cards get errors.
Since you can't find your stock ROM, you need to get the HSPL.nbh to load first.
If you can get the 1.83.Olinex to flash, continue the same process for HSPL 2.51 .nbh file.
so i did everything dled you file, formated card, put your file on card renamed turned on phone and now its stucked on loading (if i made something wrong tell me) couse im not sure
i connected phone with pc and try to instal Topaz-HardSPL_V5_00R5_183HSPL but its stucked on 0%

Well, we got it to recognize the image which is good.
Sounds like you did everything correctly, it just doesn't always work.
I think you have 3 options here;
1. Try to find your stock ROM and flash either from PC in bootloader or from SD card.
2. Read about MTTY and how to use it to flash to your phone and recover, but I still think you need your stock ROM to do this.
3. Warranty return- just tell em it froze, don't mention what you have done to it.
I have one other thing we can attempt here.
Download the enclosed file and unzip it to your PC.
Connect phone to PC and go into bootloader, then run Task29.exe.
With any luck this will force it to load HSPL.
Let me know what happens.
i tried ROMUpdateUtility, task29everything seems to work, but alwways stucks on 0%...
úroblem is, that my phone isnt originaly mine, i bought it from one guy, (couldnt be problem that it is MDA Compact V?)

What does your phone do if you use HOME+POWER or CAMARA+POWER to turn it on? If you can get into recovery, then just get a card reader and place a stable rom like cyanogen's or superd, put it in the phone, do a wipe and install the new rom and you will be perfect.
If the recovery is not there but the bootloader is, try plugging in a USB to the phone and see if "fastboot" shows up on your phone. If it does adb push a new reecovery.img and follow the above steps. You might have to set up fastboot.
Lastly, if it "fastboot" doesn't show up(only on danger or engeneering SPL's), use a card reader to put DREAIMG.nbh on your SD card, boot into bootloader(HOME+POWER), and do a full system restore, follow onscreen instructions, and then either root it and upgrade to a stable rom or wait for the T-Mobile DMD64 update to fix your phone.
If none of those work, you have a "brick". Youre only option from there is to sell it on ebay for $50+ or buy a JTAG adapter.

[Resolved] Device Stuck On Boot Screen

Im not new to flashing, upgrading, modifying my phone
I have searched prior to posting my problem.
Heres whats wrong, basically my phone is stuck on the boot screen after flashing NhatHoa 7.0..I have the latest HARDSPL on the device, connecting the device to the USB cable does nothing, no light to indicate charging nor no connection to active sync.
So i tried to flash from SD card, formatted my 8Gb card, renamed custom rom to TOPAIMG.nbh, went into bootloader, followed the on screen instructions and still nothing (like it doesnt even recognize the SD Card)
I then tried a 2Gb SD Card, formatted using FAT32, copied the nbh over, did exactly as above, again nothing.
I have searched, tried many of things which should work but nothing.
I cant have bricked my device because i can still enter boot loader and see the boot screen, but thats it.
Any Ideas??
Regards, Wez

HD7 phone HATES ME...a liitle advice?

OK, so this HD7, was windows version 7.5 and bootloader 5.xx, so I downgraded since no SPL tools were working on the modern bootloader version. I had a 2GB SD card installed and formatted, and the phone was working. I took the 16GB out to try and wipe the card and format (linux or Nokia method I haven't decided) and I ended up getting HSPL loaded after successfully goldcard-flashing the stock ROM (TMOUS ROM). I was following Xboxmod's SD card recovery thread and installed the XboxMod ROM suggested in his thread, and it flashed fine- but suddenly the SD card is not recognized. I reinsert the 16GB and it sees it and all is good- but I want the 16GB OUT and reformatted, so this isn't going to work. So, I tried looking for a way to reformat the SD in HSPL mode or with goldcard and found similar complaints about non-working SD cards and 12MB only on SD card, figuring these may be similar issues I downloaded the tool here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1263347&page=7
I ran it and went through the first time and just did a check to make sure everything was working and at the end it asks to wipe c58 (I think) from what I understood this was what fixed everyone's problem. So I did, and it didn't change the way the phone behaved, still boots to 'damaged storage card' screen. So I ran the tool again and chose the other option 'reflash c58' and it entered the 'Entering USB host mode' screen, immediately followed by "No Image Found!" with 'serial' across the screen. I unplugged it after some frustration and reboots etc and some failed SCHUIMG goldcard files that still prompted "No Image Found!" screen..then plugged it into PC, and it switches to USB mode, then I could flash a ROM (reflashed the Xboxmod ROM in hopes that it would at least get me out of the prompt for USB host mode), ROM flashed successfully but still boots to USB host mode, no matter what I put on the goldcard it says "No Image Found!". I'm at a loss as to what my next step should be here......except not to ever buy another windows phone in my lifetime..this is ridiculous- now it won't read the 2GB or 16GB SDcard..
EDIT after some more research it is the s58, not c58..I downloaded the s58 DIAG img and am going to see what that does loaded on the goldcard now..hope someone has had this issue before and get set me straight (btw I bought a cheap symbian Nokia phone, hopefully will unlock the SD cards but now to get the phone to use one...)
ok, I flashed every rom that was reported to work to get the hd7 out of USB host mode, I found the developer's thread, though I can't make heads or tails of the broken English at times, forgive my unilingual handicap..so apparently this is a common problem for people who clear the s58 by pressing the power button, even though the dev says it is simply waiting for the firmware to be flashed, I can't get it to recognize any ngh I mg file on the SD, using a mock xtc cable and a partitioned SD card in a USB reader, it worked to downgrade the phone, and it apparently sees it because it replies 'no image file' when I plug it in. It then goes into serial mode, and I can plug it into the PC and flash the rom with any signed rom and flip my spl all about, from 1.20 to 3.1 to 5.1 and back, and full roms seem to install but after every reboot...
''Entering USB host mode...''
The dev really did a disservice if you ask me by not putting a warning screen of any kind, and the action happens as soon as you press the button..no additional prompts, no time to pull the batt.. and now he has basically blamed those who used his software for having problems and refusing to assist because they didn't watch his video tutorial... :-\ doesn't seem right to me, when I got the sw I read no warnings, even though I've put 30 eyeball-hours on the forum over this beast!!
So...does anyone know WHY it is bootlooping into host mode?
ecj try it again
huh? I have flashed until I am blue in the face..it is a waste of time if I don't know what I mg file is damaged/missing..I don't even know exactly the extent of what clearing the s58 does so I don't know how to fix what I don't know how its broken? Anyone please...or alternatively someone with a riff box wanna buy cheap? Done with wp7..back to android..
Ok, well, not going to abandon this post even though the HD7 section looks dead here..
I have conquered the HD7 without using a riffbox, the problem was how I had made the goldcard, for some reason it worked perfectly well to flash the phone and to open the SCHUDIAG.IMG file, but after I wiped the s58 the phone somehow had higher standards..something I didn't anticipate.
The phone would only allow me to flash signed (that is stock) ROMs (I could do so by plugging in the goldcard while in USB host mode and I would see the 'serial' option appear, I could then unplug the phone and plug it into the pc and use a generic RomFlashUtility task to push ROMs to the phone, although I never got it to successfully flash all the way and stop bootlooping, I was able to flash full ROMs will SPLs of varying versions).
What finally cracked it was this- I had a 4GB microSD, partitioned into a 990MB SD, I had the CID and a goldcard img made properly for windows phones, here was my procedure;
Format the SD in fat32 and upon completion, remove and reinsert the card (I didn't think this would be necessary, but apparently it is)
Load goldcard tool and load img file and patch MMC (success card ___is now a gold card! etc) Remove card and replace!!
Place SIGNED ROM onto goldcard. I had tried this 100 times with different ROMs, from TMOBUS (which is the phone's original rom) to O2 ROMs, AT&T ROMs etc. The Europe O2 UK ROM finally cracked it for me, I placed it in the y cable expecting another "No Image File!" Error, but instead it said "Loading... Bootloader - OK etc." and began loading the ROM. This reset and scared me because it went directly into USB host mode and appeared to be looping again, but I let it do it's thing, and it went through the entire procedure and rebooted again, starting to go into USB host mode and load the same goldcard image again..
I'm screwed, I thought, sure it was bootlooping, so before it could do anything I snatched it from the y cable and removed the battery and replaced it and rebooted...the O2 screen came up!! I was out of the bootloop!!
It loaded up with my 16GB card inside, I then flashed it with RSPL/HSPL and loaded the XBmod ROM on it as per the SD Card recovery instructions, located the dev storagelock.cab file and pushed it through at the startup screen, all went without a hitch. Unlocked the SD card, reformatted, works like a charm..now there's the matter of this 2GB card that I had previously formatted to work but suddenly stopped working when I flashed it back to stock the first time before fubar-ing the thing...
Anyway, I know a long story but I wanted to leave this for anyone who bricked their phones into USB host mode bootloops using the SCHUDIAG.IMG tool on the goldcard, it is possible to come back if you find the right ROM and build your goldcard image correctly. Now..to get rid of this damn windows phone...
