270/360 Degree Rotation for CDMA Hero - Hero CDMA Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is it possible to have an updatable zip to apply the 270/360 Degree rotation to roms that do not currently have them in there? Flipz new Fresh rom has it in it and I would like to apply that same setting to Infinitefx45's rom. I found this but it is for another phone.

Cool, if you figure it out let me know. Thanks

I thought It was in the Kernal but I flashed darch 710 OC over fresh 2.3.3 and it still works FWIW. Hope that helps your search.

Found out from PAPASmurf that it is in the framework.jar file. Kinda hope someone can create a zip file to enable this function.

Pull the framework.jar file from the new fresh rom and make it into a signed zip. I'd do it but I'm at work. This is for 270 degree rotation. Darchdroid does 360 and is probably in the framework.jar file as well. Just don't know if that can be used in most roms. Only one way to find out. Some one make the zips and try them. Again I'd be happy to do it but I'm at work and on my phone

Anyway you can make a mm theme or update.zip so we all can enjoy. Or just make it a .zip file so I can do it?

[MOD] LockScreen Mod for JL5

this is the lock screen mod for the just leaked JL5 firmware
install with clockwork
choose the deodex zip for custom ROM's like the Rom's produced by
Eugene, Master, TeamWhisky
if you flashed with Odin / Heimdall then chances are you want the stock zip
the source zip is for devs looking to port the mod to other ROM's/Phones
NOTE: framework-res.apk is a little bit larger so make sure
you have enough room on the system partition to install

It probably doesn't flash because the update scripts are slightly different - it's now updater-script and update-binary I think. I'm going to put this in a flashable zip I made (and tested) and see what happens
EDIT: I put it in my flashable zip and no dice - it booted up fine but nothing changed.
Does not work on MoDaCo r2.

Push them to system/framework and system/app respectively.

Still getting bootloop. The lockscreen shows up for a second and there's no notification bar, then it reboots.
OUCH !
No notification bar, as above. But I am not going into boot loop, but each and every app force closes.
I am on Paul's Rom. Need to update sig.
It's the system UI apk. You can't modify that. Pushing just the framework should work

[MOD] JL5 Power Menu + Lockscreens [1.10.2011] Updated! *Stay Awake Option*

Well I just spent the last two days learning how to decompile/compile framework. FUN STUFF *sarcasm* Anyways, here is the power menu and lockscreen mod for stock deodexed JL5.
UPDATE 1/10/2011 - Settings now has "Stay awake" option under Settings>Applications>Development
All links have been updated. For those who have already flashed I have included just the Settings.apk at the bottom of the page.
JL5 Power Menu & Lockscreens > DOWNLOAD
JL5 Berserk Power Menu & Lockscreens > DOWNLOAD
JL5 black and white icons version > DOWNLOAD
Instructions
1. Place zip of your choice on internal sdcard
2. Reboot into recovery
3. Flash zip to phone
4. Reboot
Click to collapse
This wipes the dalvik-cache so the first reboot will take about 5 minutes or so. I have made two versions. Both work the same, just one is themed to Berserk [<3].
Again, this is for stock deodexed JL5. Flash on other roms at your own risk. Be warned you will lose any theming you have such as accurate battery mods and such. Do not ask me to make an odexed version because it is not going to happen.
Thank you to Untermensch for his awesome write-up on the power menu mod as well as the lockscreens!
Thank you to Brick'd for advice that which helped in the compiling of the framework-res.
Thank you to S0niqu3 for the black and white icons
Enjoy Everyone!

Thanks! Appreciate the tip on the compression/heap size. I added your name to the OP. I meant to when I uploaded them but at 2am... Saw your reply in the other thread. After I changed those settings it would compile no problem; the hardest part was sifting through all the resource ids. Definitely took some trial and error before I started getting the pattern/location. Now I know why these things aren't posted right away lol.

There are probably some accurate batt mods in the themes section that you could flash, but you will most likely lose this mod.
Been waiting for this. You have made my day. Flashing this now.
Very nice. Has anyone who has this also flashed JDan's SBG themes the flying animations with battery?
I updated the OP with another version that has the older black and white icons. Figured I'd throw out a few options for ppl.
Minor update! Settings now has the "stay awake" option under Settings>Applications>Development. All links have been updated and I also added a flashable zip for just the Settings.apk for ppl who have already flashed. Enjoy!

It probably wouldn't be hard, I'd start by decompiling and changing the AndroidManifest.xml, there's a line that says minsdk=, it would need to be lowered for froyo (8 i think), recompile, resign, and hopfully make profit.
I may have time to make a test build but someone will need to test it for me, I am also willing to help out if someone wants to try it on their own.

Those log cats look like the phone its pretty much booted already. If you have ADB setup can you reboot the phone and when you see the samsung logo, run this in a cmd prompt: adb logcat > logcat.txt
then post the logcat.txt please.
