I would like to see what other people’s home/lock screens look like.
How do I take a screenshot of mine? Is there an application for that somewhere?
If someone could point me to the best reference areas I would appreciate it.
Thanks.
Please! share your home/lock screens with me.
Hey churapa, there are apps for that, but the Android SDK is the easiest way. Just enable USB debugging, open ddms from the SDK\tools folder, make sure you can see your phone, and press Ctrl+S.

It's an apk called "free memory", it manages apks and frees up memory space according to your settings. It's freeware and you can google for it.
I have not attempted to connect my phone to the PC yet, what are the apps that can do this?
Thanks

First, you have to root your phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=710677
Second, flash the room of your liking, I personally prefer attn1's Liberated B05:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=708434
Third, install whichever apk you wish, just read the forums, that way you'll learn hands on the job, believe me, it's the best way to go.

My notification bar came black wen I got my Aria... Check to see if you have android 2.+ I kno my lil sister had a HTC Hero with android 1.6 on it and the notification bar was white but wen I updated it to 2.1 for her and it changed to black so I guess that's wat it is.....o Yea n unless you got a custom rom that changed it... Hey guys! I've been around here for a while lurkin on my older phones, but since I got the epic I'm finally coming around to posting. Anyhow, I was bored tonight and no overtime came up this weekend so I made up some docks real quick, since mine was getting stale after a month or two. Hope you guys like em. I'm not a photoshop perfectionist so a few flaws may be present. When they are on the phone with their 75ish % Transparency most flaws disappear anyways. When I briefly checked them all, at a glance they all looked fine. So let me know if anythings messed up in any of them, I just run the blue now myself.
Kinda loosely based on the dreamlyfe docks with the side app drawer, but much wider so the tallmin icons fit in them nicely. In fact they were designed with those icons in mind. Let me know what ya think. Feel free to rape them to peices and create your own and re-post em or whatever
Edit: All have 74% Opaque (26% Transparency) for a nice look, and resized to work well with Portrait/Landscape. Tallmin icons will now be readable in either orientation. Wow didnt realize how ugly it was before fixed.
Can u do one with orange plz? Good job by the way!

sure can
Sure I can, later this evening after work. I mostly just change colors with color range select and color change tool so it makes it pretty easy. If anyone else wants a specific color let me know and ill make it. Just figured these 3 were most popular.
On a side note, if anyone wants the non transparent version of any of them just PM me and ill send it your way. Cheers!
Thank u so much!

I only know how to DL onto a PC and then xfer to the SD Card. Right click on the image(dock that you want to DL) from the OP and select save as... , then copy the image/file to your phone/SD Card. Now while at the homescreen in LP hit the menu key>preference>appearance settings>dock background>custom>and then you should be able to scroll to the image in the gallery that it brings up

Not feeeling the battery icon... But the theme is worth (swype) the battery meter off, so I'm about to try the first release. To see what it do. And one more question... Do you have to hard reset your phone and reload it to get a clean load (Is what I did) or can you load on top of another theme and be cool (was running Androdena_Glassia) I'm a noob when it come to Driods, use to have a PRO2 so things are a little different. Thanks

I suggest wiping cache and delvik catch before installing a theme. It is also good practice to install the rom again then theme so nothing from the other theme bleeds threw but you should be fine

im trying to make a theme and can't seem to change the signal bars icons. everything else in the theme works just fine. i can change all the other notification icons. but when i change the icons for the signal bars, it for some reason doesn't do anything. every time i reboot the phone it goes back to the stock signal bars. any ideas? also im wondering if you know how to/where to go to remove the recently used apps from the notification bar???
thanks!
any help would be appreciated.
How are you trying to change them?
They are located in your frameworks files.

Negative, they are in com.htc.resources and the signal bars are cdma_sys_4signal and the data icons are cdma_sys_data and just search lte to find the lte icons in the same folder.
you need to change them in com.htc.resources.apk
they are :cdma_sys_4signal_X (x being 0-4)
edit:
HEH mob just beat me to it...
anyone know how to remove the recently used apps from the pulldown???

update: i FINALLY got it to work! hahaha that was so frustrating! now i just need a fix for the recently used apps and ill be good. =) and I found an update.zip for getting rid of the recently used apps. Instead of porting Boring AOSP, sunder74 asked if i would port his Fascinate Detox theme found here:[THEME][Port][6/1/11][UPDATE]Fascinating_DETOX FOR COMROM 1.3 - xda-developers (which is very much like Boring AOSP, except it turns out he is better than me) because he was busy or something. I have ported everything from the original theme (i even stole his screen shots, cause im lazy) and i added this puke snot AOSP looking swype keyboard I made.
enjoy

hey Mike,
In the rom there is an issue with the LatinIME.apk its named LatinIME.apk.apk anyway besides that the MediaProvider.apk isnt themed and I noticed you included an accurate battery and the battery doesnt reflect this correctly and the progresshorizontal is orange. I have attached a metamorph to address the battery and the progresshorizontal.xml until one of us gets around to updating the theme. Thanks again for porting for me. You did me a big favor.

Contacts.apk
Hey Gunnermike,
Great work on this theme! I really enjoyed it, but ultimately had to stop using it, because (imo) the ASOP contacts apk makes our phones so much harder to use. Without the groups tab in the Samsung contacts apk, I can spend at least a minute scrolling through all of my phone #s in the ASOP contacts (frustrating). Would it be possible for you to theme and incorporate Samsung's contacts.apk? Thanks in advance!
thanks for the port.
I was gonna still use it, but the white notification bar is just catching my eye too often.
i need to go back to a black notification bar
but i just wanted to say thanks, and also, it looks like something is wrong with the 3g icon in the drop down. only when its off tho.

It is the first theme i've installed on a custom rom and while the process was easy, noobs be warned that the initial reboot takes a little longer than normal. Do not freak out. Thanks for the hard work.
