Nexus One
Froyo FRF91
cyanogenmod 6.0 kernel (2.6.34)
About once a week a wake to my phone just keeps restarting over and over.. as soon as it it is finished loading froyo it goes straigh to start-up again (doesn't do a proper shut-down). This has happen three times now.. all off them has started restarting when it is connected to a USB cable.
The only way I know how to stop it from restarting is to remove the battery. Start-up after the battery has been inserted again works fine.
Any ideas to what this can be?

Hi All,
I am experiencing an issue which I cannot seem to find a solution to..
I purchased my i9000 in August and it has been working fine since them (no sd issues, gps sucks though). I had no lag fixes and device was not rooted.
I upgraded using the official Bell release to froyo last week. couple days ago I shut my phone off via the power button. When I tried to turn it back on, it would not turn on. It displayed the empty battery icon even though the battery was fully charged.
I tried connecting to Kies and my computer would not detect it
Finally as a last attempt, I plugged the phone into the wall charger and hit the power button and my phone turned on.
So long story short, since the froyo update for some reason my phone is not detecting the charge of the battery when it is turned off and therefore cannot be turned on without being plugged into a power source i.e wall charger, computer etc.
I tried multiple batteries and had the same outcome.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Have you tried reflashing? You could use Kies Registry Patcher to make Kies think that you have an earlier software version, and make it flash the newest software again.
I have not tried the kies patch - but I did do multiple hard resets (i.e. volume up + home + power button).
The phone starts up - but only if it is plugged into a powersource - not on its own. Once its plugged into a powersource and boots up - its fine.
this is really weird.
Something could've gone wrong with the software when you updated to froyo. Try to reflash it.
Thank you. How do i reflash it? I am a newbie when it comes to flashing android devices.

Hi

i am having the same problems with my phone.
thanks
Thank You for the tip. For me worked fine after update with Kies.
Hi,
Yesterday my sgs developed a fault. It can come out with messages saying USB connected or USB debugging connected, slows down, sometimes becomes unresponsive for few seconds. It can switch itself off and when i try to switch it back on comes up with "busy" sign (that spinning wheel) and sometimes is showing empty battery symbol. Only way for it to be switched on is to plug the charger. Battery is fully charged,I know it, cause its plugged in for few hours, i disconnect it, and all of sudden drops dead. Tried today with another battery from my friends sgs but it comes up with same stuff.
Can you help me?
Firmware is stock JPY flashed via odin, not rooted, only with few apps installed on it
Many thanks
Mario
reflash it and wipe factory settings
Hi guys, so I've had Xperia X8 since june or so. It always worked perfectly, got rid of stock eclair really early and used GingerDX for a long time daily on stock kernel 'cause it's newer edition of phone I'm told I shouldn't do anything about it, just install rom on stock kernel. And that was fine really but yesterday my phone started rebooting randomly and I could tolerate that, but then it started rebooting over and over in circle without ever making it to run the system. Today, however, It just got stuck on Sony Ericsson words logo and it was like that whole day. I thought first maybe battery is dead or something but obviously it's not. So I repaired it through Sony Ericsson PC Companion and, naturally, it returned to eclair. However it kept doing reboot stuff, only now it starts the system but as soon you disconnect charger phone reboots and start system again and after about 5 second reboots again and so on. When I plug charger in, it shows it's charging and it's fine it works but sometimes when I try to type something or just randomly do something it reboots but it's not that often. Once phone is 100 charged I disconnect it and after some time it reboots and run again and show battery is 19% or so and then reboots again and again and so on in circle but battery never dies. So I tried factory reset, installed GingerDX again and it still does this boot thing and just won't survive without a charger. Also when I repaired it through PCC eclair wouldn't let me connect to market aka google play it said: "can't establish a reliable data connection to the server" and I tried factory reset and it didn't work. Facebook, browser anything else internet related did. Could anyone take a guess what seems to be a problem and help me fix it? Thanks in advance
next time write a post clearly
Maybe theres a problem with your battery.
Consider replacing it.

Hello! Have you solved this problem? because I´m inthe exactly same situation than you are and I can't be sure if is battery issue, Did you check battery?
Hi,
so I charged my Note (running some cm10 stable release) over night, using my ipad charger (5.2V, 2.4A) as I sometimes do, and the next morning the phone was stuck at the unlock pattern screen but didn't react to any inputs.
After rebooting the initial n7000 screen and the CM loading animation appeared. The phone never booted, though and reverted back to the n7000 screen and stuck there. Tried to reinsert the battery (also tried with a different one) but the phone only got to the n7000 screen the first 2 times and got stuck there. Now the phone doesn't even do that. Just black screen and no sign of life. Tried removing the SD and also getting into recovery and download mode to no luck.
Any ideas what else I could try?
Thanks!
For quite some time I already have the problem that the phone almost always shuts down once i plug in the charger.
It reboots to the bootloader, recovery selection and then briefly shows 65% battery and then the actual battery state.
I'm currently on AOSP 6, however this problem was already present with older versions. I also tried using different basebands without success.
This issue has been becoming quite annoying as I always have to manually restart the phone again to actually boot up instead of showing the charging animation when turned off. I hope you guys can help me with this.
