Review: Ebay Leather Case UPDATED

Review:
Price: £1.89 + £ree p&p
(not the cheapest case i've ever bought: £0.10 for Crystal N95 Case + Screen Protector, but hey what can you do )
The case took about 10 days to be delivered.
The packaging was alright not a cardboard box but the contents were not affected in anyway and for free delivery what can you expect
I was happy that they sent 2 screen protectors, as can be seen in the pics they are not the same. One of which protects some protection to the bottom of the phone beside the keys. One of which does not. I have not yet attached the screen protectors as I do not see as being currently necessary and I'm rubbish at applying screen protectors ( Get bubbles everywhere )
The case itself has a nice orange stitching and a soft velvety interior finish. The velvet itself can be seen to be a dust magnet. I have tested out the compass and the magnetic clasp does not affect it.
Update 24/06/10:
As highlighted by JonPickles below the plastic case securing the phone to the case is tight. I am slightly worried whether repeated removal and installation of the phone will cause damage to the paint of the casing. Also if the phone is not taken out properly the tight fitting can cause the battery cover to come of. As of now I have not found a good way to remove the phone. I am wondering it repeated removal will losen the fitting making it easier to remove. If anyone else has this case or any other tight fitting cases please share any tips on how best to remove it.

i bought one too and didnt like how the phone was squeezed into the plastic holder and my battery cover came off when i took it out of holder plus didnt like the securing tab in my ear when makin/answerin a call so bought another that was completely leather and the tab was not in the way for £3.50 from hong kong which came in ten days also

I didn't like the leather insert into which the phone goes. But everyone has their own tastes.

It barely fits the phone with INVISIBLE FULL BODY ZAGG SHILED ! My zagg shield got ripped of my phone and destroyed zagg shield. + it did not fit. My batteri cover came of and its really hard to take the phone out , dont like it at all

The same story - slightly different characters:
Beware of snap-on hard cases! I mean you have to be very careful and do not go for the cheapest ones. My sad experience with one of them, very similar to this one brought me to this rather obvious conclusion. What happened is that in 3 weeks gray paint/covering of my HD2 was damaged wherever it touched the sturdily snapping hard case - on the corners battery cover (where the gray plastic body of HD2 slightly is raised comparing to lower battery cover) - I will post photos of it.
Then I ordered a leather pull-case, and i am happy with it. Here is my positive review for it

Best Galaxy Note II Flip Cover Case?

I just got my Galaxy Note II and I did not like the Samsung OEM Flip Case it came with. I feel like it only protects the screen if the phone ever drops, and if it happens to hit any of the four corners in a drop, the phone would be done for. I've been looking into wallet cases, but most of them are magnetic and seem to interfere with the S-Pen. Does anyone know of a good flip case that snaps onto the device itself, similar to this one?

Magnetic catch on flip cases
I recently bought a Zenus case which I like a lot. The only thing I am not keen on is the press stud on the front so that whenever you close it you are pressing a bit on the glass. The Zenus case I got a long time ago for my original Galaxy Tab has a magnetic closure and this is really good. However, I am confused about whether magnetic catches badly affect the S-pen usage. Some reviews mark down cases because a magnetic closure interferes with the S-pen. Is this true of all cases with magnetic closures? Are there any flip cases with magnetic closures that do not affect S-pen use?

i just ordered one of those. it has a full tpu case on the phone plus a multipurpose leather flap attached to it that allows it to act as either a vertical or horizontal stand. it also fixes the thing i hate the most about flip covers - camera use. with most flip covers, the flap just feels flimsy, dangles everywhere and gets annoying. with this one, you can fold the flap back, and fold down a portion of the leather to stop it from obstructing the camera. quite useful.
the black and brown flap versions have a dark brown-ish semitransparent tpu case. the other colours all have a transparent tpu case.
it also has a magnetic lock on it as well.

Hello, I buy a G2 and I have been reading a lot of opinions here on XDA but I can't decide at all.
I want something protective, and also lightly
I saw Nillkin frosted shield here
But I think it is not very protective, or I am wrong?
I also see Spigen Slim Armor here, it seems to be protective but is heavy, is't it? How much does it weight?
Or maybe a tempered glass + Nillkin frosted shield?
Is there anything between nillkin and Spigen?? (I don't like silicone case)
Is Diztronic Matte + an screen protector the best for me?
As you see I read, but there are a lot of opinions in a lot of pages and it is difficult to make up my mind.

It looks like a two piece thing but is actually a fused one-piece case and quite slim. I have a used G2 in white and it has all sorts of dings and scratches on the phone, this case covers them all up perfectly. It looks and feels amazing. This color is a bit "pretty" but my four year old daughter loves it, so that works for me. I imagine if you have the black phone the black case would look better.
I also ordered a leather case from Tetded but that ships from hong Kong so it will be a while before I can evaluate.

How does the speck case protect against bumps and drops? As good as the spigen?

I'm using a Diztronic case and this tempered screen protector: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KVIGG54/
They work well together and I have no complaints about the protection. I'm pretty hard on my electronics and have dropped it to concrete quite a few times with no damage. I was even able to transfer the screen protector to a new phone when I had to get a warranty replacement for a defective camera sensor.
I used to have a two piece otter box style case because I was very paranoid about damaging the phone when I first got it. I got sick of struggling to get in in and out of my pocket since the phone is so big.

nice thin case with raised lips from screen protection?

any thoughts? I have the opportunity to get the nillkin frost shield bundle with the phone from aliexpress and was wondering if it has raised lips to protect the display.
Also does the 2s come with installed screen protector whilst I wait for the tempered glass to make its way (separately)?

My 2s came with a screen protector case. Its very nice. Im trying to find out where I would get another of the included case.

iii had a look at the unboxing videos and can't see the screen protection. I see frosty film which is taken off but not quite the same screen protector as seen on the op6 ( factory fitted ).
perhaps I'm wrong, can you kindly let me know?

The supplied case only has the very slightest lip on it, same for the camera.

No lip, its below the screen for a tenth of a milimeter.

I've got the Nilkin frosted case and the Nilkin TPU case. Both are slightly raised so you can put it facedown with no issues.

Where did you order it? Is it raised that you can put it upside down without the screen touching the table? And also that the camera lens doesnt touch the table?

That is correct, raised from touching the screen or camera lens (and that's with a glass protector I have on the camera lens). I got it from AliExpress.

I love clear cases especially with how beautiful this phone is. This one has raised edges so when you set it on a table face down it shouldn't be a problem. However I usually set mine back down so I can see the notification light....

This is my favorite case of the ones I have purchased so far. It's nice and grippy, has raised edges above screen level and feels more protective than a TPU Sleeve/cover without adding noticable bulk or weight.

This is my second favorite case. I don't like the design with the bumper corners as much but it is grippy and feels like it provides above average protection. It also has raised edges to protect the screen.

You might try the Ballistic Jewel Case for the Note 5. They cost around $20 on ebay and Walmart. Pic attached. The case is completely clear, by the way, and the little dots on the back are inside the case holding the phone slightly away from it for added protection in case of drops. I like mine as it also feels soft and slightly sticks to surfaces instead of sliding off like more rigid cases do.
