when i send one new sms,the system will keep one copy in the Sent Items,

go into Settings in SMS & go to message options tab & uncheck the option for "keep copies of sent items in sent folder"

Alright.. i m a noobie, so be gentle...
MY question is how to delete all the messages in "Deleted" folder all at once...
I normally keep my sent and deleted messages folders clean.
Now i find it extremely slow to delete all messages one at a time....i am sure there must be "Delete All" option somewhere..

Go to your deleted items folder, Menu > Tools > Empty Deleted Items.
Or you can use the Clear Text Messages option, but that will remove your inbox also.
You probably have to highlight all messages (scroll down with the stylus) and delete them, then do the above.

i get as far as programs then there is no messaging in there unless im not seeing something on my htc
just use one of the advance configuration utilities found on this forum. you'll find the option you are looking for there
Like me, you don't have the messaging shortcut in programs... not to worry.
On the home screen, tap the Messages icon, then tap 'All Messages'. Here, you can pick up the route described by MJNewton above, by going 'Menu', then 'Tools', then 'Options', and finally tapping the SMS\MMS account, where you'll get the tick box you require.

If it's not in the programs menu, then it's in the start menu. On windows mobile devices, a program cannot be in both places at once, unless you create a duplicate icon yourself.
The threaded text is nice but i dont want to see my reply. and even if i uncheck the option to save sent items it still saves all my replies. Is there something I missed or an edit i can do to make my replies not show up and keep the sent folders empty?
Wondering if anyone else has the same issue or if my upgrade went wrong.
I'd appreciate any help
You might have to DISABLE threaded messaging altogether...
i might be wrong...but here is what i understand about the threaded messages feature:
When ENABLED:
- You can no longer manager folders
- Sent items will ALWAYS be saved regardless of settings
- PIMBackup usually will NOT restore your message backup correctly
When DISABLED:
- Your inbox will be cluttered and I've noticed performance issues when trying to scroll through an inbox with hundreds of text messages
- You can manage folders
- The save sent items setting becomes effective
- It is recommended to restore message backups made with PIMBackup after disabling threaded messaging and soft resetting your device

You can't do copy and paste from gmail app. Whenever I need to do that I use the browser version (gmail.com)

I can do this on the Opera app, but not on the gmail app.
Press Menu -> More -> Select Text -> Copy.
Copy and paste requires ridiculous acrobatics and renders these phones as toys. I received one to test for our work fleet roll out and was shocked at the terrible text editing capabilities and near impossible copying from the browser.
This is after using win5,6 phones.
It seems the pda phone is truly dead with all the multimedia phones around. Particularly the lack of buttons...
Try the copy paste app from market. It even has OCR built in. Its really very easy even to copy text from images.

Are Contacts on your GEAR always listed by first name? - on the NOTE3 I have them by "last name", however on the watch - still by the first name - anybody knows how to change it? I have disconnected the watch, made factory reset, and... still the same...
Second issue with contacts - On the NOTE You can only select to display on the gear "all" or "favorites"
I am missing the "favorites" as the separate main menu window on the GEAR as I have to many contacts to select from the full list...
You can set it to be just favorites. It's in the Gear manager unter settings for the contacts app.

Sure - but the problem is that You can have all contacts OR favorites - I want to have them both in separate "main menu" lists. BTW - can You please confirm if you can see contact listed by "last name" on the watch?
Mine is also listed by first name first. I like to have last name first. I searched but did not find a solution
Which language You use on NOTE/Gear?
Can others confirm that contacts are listed on their GG by first name only ? I have tried to set the language to English - but still the same - by first name only...
I am looking forward to see if it will be possible to get the "favorite" contacts using NOVA launcher solution maybe...
For me not being able to have BOTH "all" and "favorite contacts" is a major problem = > I have to many contacts to search them each time I want to make the phone call.
