iMusic Replacement...

does anyone know of a good app that replaces the old iMusic app? I use to love downloading songs from iMusic but its no longer available in the market so I want to know if there any other mp3 downloading apps out there for our phones. Yes I know I can just connect my phone to my pc and move music through that but I like the simplicity of just downloading them directly onto my phone.
You can still get imusic from their website. Its just not on the market anymore. The site explains why.

Ive gotten a ton of free mp3 music from the "Mp3 Download" free app.
Seems to have as good a selection in hard rock genres I like as IMusic does.

tubedroid

Hi everyone. I am looking for the app tubedroid. I had it once and since I rooted the app that I saved doesn't work anymore. For those of you that don't know what tubedroid is, you can download any video from youtube to your sdcard. Any help would be great.
I'm assuming it had something to do with it being illegal since downloading from youtube is forbidden.

can't see why downloading from youtube is illegal. I can send it to facebook, and you can download stuff to your desktop. Im not trying to sell it to make a profit, want less hassel when I want to watch my favorite music video.
It's against youtube tos probably.
I dont claim to know the ins/outs of youtubes tos... but how do apps like videodownloader get away with direct dl's from YouTube?

Ok illegal is probably not the right word, but it is against google policies so they will pull any app that does it from the market.

If it is illegal to download it then it's illegal to watch it. You cannot watch it without downloading it. They may want to stop you from saving it but they can't stop you from downloading it without raking the video down. The same is true on the streaming music services. Take a look at Grooveshark's EULA. It's very well written in that regard.

PVstar+ won't play videos

Does anyone use this app for YouTube vids? Mine isn't playing videos since updating. I went back to an older version and it still worked but I lost it. Does anyone have an older version ( like 1.4.4 or older) that they can provide me with or know how I can get an older version?
I use this app so I can arrange and listen to playlists of YouTube vids while the screen is off.

Incompatible apps

Hey all,
I've got my Xperia Z for a few days now and I'm really enjoying it, except for the fact that there are a lot of apps I'd really like to install, but can't.
When I search for these apps in the Play store, I simply can't find them - they are not showing up. When I search them on Google and open the Play store in Chrome, I get a notification saying these apps aren't compatible.
An example of an app I can't find and download is Doodle Jump. What's the reason that I can't install these apps? And will they be compatible soon or is this a hardware issue? Like everyone else, I'm using Android 4.1.2.
Thanks in advance
Its because the developer hasn't uodated the app for 1080p screens
If your rooted and dont want to wait google modoco and look at his website. Hes created a version of play store thay will work

Downloaded it about an hour ago from the Play Store, it's awesome!
$9.99 per month. What a joke!

I've tried spotify, Pandora, and doubletwist magic radio... I've been listening to all access for about two hours now. Seriously worth the 8.60$ a month.

Why is it a joke...... Spotify charges the exact same amount for mobile devices.
If Google can get the deals in place and match their library, there is no joke about it, especially if you get in early on for the $7.99 price.

It's 7.99 a month if you sign up for the free trial before mid-june I think? http://www.androidcentral.com/google-play-music-all-access-unveiled
I'm a long-time Rhapsody user, but I've got to say, being able to combine the music I already have or have purchased with a subscription service is awfully convenient. On the other hand, only being able to use it on the web/my phone instead of also on my xbox for living room listening is less wonderful.
Nicee

Yea I signed up for it because it would be nice as you said for streaming plus songs I already have. But with so many companies offering music services it's going to be hard to have a single solution across all platforms. With this and my xbox/win8 set up I'm pretty much covered.

Anyone notice the new play music no longer has EQUALIZER ?

"keeping" music option takes 100times longer than it does on Spotify.
Im sure they will fix this soon.. I hope.

i really want to subscribe to this but im outside US any ideas how i can achieve this?
I've been on Spotify for over a year, tried MOG, Rdio, everything. So far this has the best interface, with more music in some respects, with notification bar controls, and landscape mode, for 7.99. Great job Google! Just won me
I ditched MOG for All Access. I don't use all of its expanded features, but it does exactly what I need it to do.
I've not previously subscribed to a music service, couple of questions some of you may be able to answer... I have some guesses. Let me know if there are other use cases:
[Q-1] Why is there an option to still upload my music library when I've already purchased all access? I can play anything I want already, on demand or radio-like.
[GUESS-1] Is this to upload music I write, or music that's not licensed through the service (like a certain artist I want is missing, or not commercial yet)? Anything else? Should I "upload" music that I own that is available for streaming play? Will that impact anything like the quality? I'm guessing not, and I'm hoping if it detects a match it won't waste my 20,000 song space, or bother shoving up data it already has a better copy of.
[Q-2] Why can we still "buy" songs when we're all access? I can already play anything Google has. Why are you showing me this? I have seen a few comments (while searching for these answers) of people actually saying they wish their $7.99/mo. subscription came with 10 free songs... Why? That doesn't seem logical.
[GUESS-2] So I can still play it if I drop the subscription?

1) It's a holdover from when Google Music was upload/purchase only and didn't have a streaming option. I already had most of my albums uploaded to GMusic for streaming purposes. Now, though, I guess it's only if you want to upload stuff that isn't in Google's catalog.
2) For when you unsubscribe.

You can't download all access music on your pc, just purchased tracks or your own. Also, Google doesn't have licenses for every label and every artist/album. Uploading your own supplements this. I also suspect their purchase library is larger than all access streaming but I can't confirm this, just guessing.

It's there, you sure you are not looking hard enough?
I checked on my Galaxy S4 and Nexus 10, it's there under the settings. And I am willing to bet if it is one my Nexus 10, it should be on your Nexus 4.
The one thing I LOVE about Google Music/All Access is that it displays the song playing on my car's radio, Spotify doesn't. Spotify is also finnicky with headset controls...sometimes when I hit play the stock Android players kicks on.
But what I do give Spotify props for are the nice little features - the desktop program is really easy to use, easy to create and modify your playlists, easy to see what's new and trending, and I really use the Popularity feature a lot. Also the app has crossfading, which is a little but awesome feature, it's also an easier interface.
I'm really on the fence with this one.
