hi friends the biggest another issue for Himalaya is is automatically turns off even battery is still more then 10% or sometimes 20% to 30% when you watching videos or photos.
so the question is is there any trick or tweak to working battery till below the 5% it helps much in extreme conditions when you 've very less charge your phone & need to urgent call..
so if anybody have the idea tell me I'll also help to improve it.

I happens when battery power is below excepted, you can see this behaviour when you turn on light in room (old type light preferes, wolfram) and turn on water heater (much watts on line), the light will make some darker.
Best way is new battery purchase.
Also you can discharge hima battery in one minute, just turn on non ending vibration and stare

but most devices i get for servicing or other issue have same problem that is it automatically off till battery is 30% sometimes or 25% sometimes & turned on automatically after sometime.
then when you try to watch any content it off again..
then what is the problem with all devices ??
and if yes..
what's the problem..
new battry also can't solve this problem..
me the same.
my himalaya also has a habit at dieing at about 30 to 40 percent battery.
it needs sorting

yeah bro most devices have the same problem. that's why we have to find the solution. but i can't find any hint that what's the actually problem it's hardware issue or battery sensor issue. coz most Himalayas suffer from this cold lol.
When I discharge I will post you screens from 1% battery, from 5%, from 10% and 20%.
Also I will try to play a song while 5% and record it on a camera.
Also I'm working on video tutorials for cookers xD
sound!
tutorials are a brilliant idea even just writing step by step.
i think a lot of members will find it good.
tutorials have been needed for a long time for himalaya

Which rom ?
is your pic of 0% on a WM 6.1 ROM or on a WM 6.5 ROM
cuz i think they might behave different?
as 6.5 only shows a meter for main battery and tends not to show a meter for backup battery maybe that is why if you are running a 6.5 ROM you will have the 30% battery shutting of problem?
what do u think...

The solution is, that the intern backup battery has to be fixed. Bad battery condition - bad behaviour.

Well, is main battery in good condition? Does it at least got enough power to be 3-4 day in standby?
To get office working try to add the attached files, maybe they are missing.
Mine are aproximately 3 years old and all of them behave the same as yours.
I use batti and over/underclocking to improove performance.
Rename the last app to .exe (delete.txt) to get known which version of .net framework is used in a new rom.
Edit: At last, I found the app to config .Net Framework
A good place for the link to the.Netcfg file is the /Windows/Startmenu/Settings folder after unzipping it. (Don't forget to softreset to find it in Settings)

I'm not sure thats actually the case, but perhaps. I may try it.
My battery level has never been below 60% as I am anal about having a charging source near by. The Radio Reset Issue is directly related to certian Programs (or versions thereof) and how they force connections to the internet.
Please anyone reading this. please lets try it out. please post your results back. Lets see if you can still get constant and good signal if your batery is below 50% .
and also if your having battry problems. like your phone sometimes refuses to charge. I think that it could be the battery. please lets all see.
My battery level is currently at a little under 40%. I have a full 5 bars of service and sound quality is the same as if the phone were at 100% (I called my voicemail and a friend to test it out)

Thanks for helping
i never had any problems with the signalstrenght and battery health,
even with 10% or less i still have maximum signal strength..
but i live nearby a cellbroadcast-antenna, so maybe that's why
Here's an update. My battery life is at 29% and still no drop in call quality. I just had a 10 minute convo with somebody and she could hear me perfectly fine.
Thanks. From my observations, at least with me, If your loosing signals and you notice it happens when your battery is below 50%, or sometimes when you try to charge your mda and the battery refuses to charge, Then its the battery.
Get a new battery.
Thanks for those that helped.

Okay I'll admit that there have been 2 times in the 6 months I've have my phone that my battery accidently went flat but otherwise I can count on one hand the number of time it has been below 60%. I've had it off the charger for hours and my battery is just fine. Even had a two hour call once without being plugged-in using my BT headset. Still plenty of juice when I hung-up the call.
Great !
Dont know where But I read it at the P910 Forum somewhere.
A user had his phone charging on the cradle.
The moment he got a call, he picked up to answer that.
The call lasted for barely 5 mins.
After the call he put it back on the Cradle.(for charging)
SINCE THEN he says" the battery went KAPUT !
He says that an expert told him that he should have waited to Recharge the battery a BIT more than 10-15 mins allowing the batt. to cool down a Bit.
If this si the case None of the MANUALS MENTION THIS EVER and these people do Provide warranties too...
Funny.......

Well after many many tries with topogigi's rom i had a lot of battery drain, after a while i thought its probably ok cause its a gb leak, probably its not that bad.
well after few days using it i decided to change back to froyo so i changed to FR19 from modaco but i have the same drainage really really big and really fast, i use the wifi for like 2 or 3 minutes and it goes down like 5 %.
My question is this normal? is my battery broken?
i did the calibration couple of times, i checked the usage of battery, just the "0" and "1023" proccesses using a lot of battery, i also checked if it was some app runing in the background but nothing seem wrong.
can you guys help me with these issues do you think i should change the battery or just keep calibrating it.
BTW i also read about how the battery Mv should be at 4200Mv when its at 100% but mine is just at 4170Mv and suddenly goes down to 4112 or less.
I hope you can help cause this is really annoying me a lot.
Greetings
Did you do a factory reset after updating to gingerbread, you need to do a factory reset, after your battery should be fine, make sure to take your SD card out.

Gingerbread is not battery friendly. With tweaked ROMs and tweaked kernels you can have correct results (see my config below), but Froyo 10d is stilll a reference hard to reach...

this could be many diff things, what i would do is 1 of 3 things:
1- try to calibrate it again
2- try a new kernel (maybe an sbc kernel, it might work better for you)
3- maybe try to flash a new rom for a bit and see if the rom you are running at the moment just doesn't like your phone.
at the moment i am running the decks rom for gingerbread and svz 2.2.1 kernel, however i just like to test new things but what has worked the best for me is the godmode (V9) kernel. i stopped using it because he is no longer updating his kernels but with godmode kernel and cm7 my phone lasted me a total of 1 day and 6 hours on 1 charge.
well thanks a lot for the help green arrow, what i did know was i charge full on and off after that delete battery stats manually calibrate it with battery monitor widget then turn off charge a little bit again turn on delete battery stats again and reboot this worked for me from 9:30 pm to 8 am just wasted 8% sleeping but anyways i thought it was too much so i checked better battery stats so there is a process called nvrm daemon the weird thing is that i dont have an overclocked kernel and im not using daemon so i wonder what it is.
if you want i can attach a screencap so you can help a little bit with this oddly changes with my battery.
Another thing is during night there was some changes it went from 2mh to 60mh then it start going down until 10mh at 7:30 am, if you want i can add the history report from battery monitor widget.
And finally im using gr4 Modaco's with stock kernel. Btw i changed my RIL to the v20j version the one that came with the rom and it seem pretty good after 10 minutes it sticked to 2mh.
well im gonna take some screens and upload them for you.
Some screens so i can get some more help

this may not be much help but, turn off your internet (3g/2g) and your wifi, and your 4g if you put it on, and your sync. let me know if you see some change. if you do then just turn on your internet when you need it but leave it off on a normal bases.
Alright so like many other people on this and other forums, I updated to ics 4.0.3 two days ago and been experiencing battery issues since. But my battery issue is a bit different from what I've read about. My note has no problem going into deep sleep, when i go sleep and wake up deep sleep is at 98-99% and my battery drains about 1%. But when I turn on my phone and start using it no matter what I do, the battery drains about 1% every 3-5 minutes.
Phone settings:
- I always have my brightness at 0 and have screen filter on to make it even less bright(even though battery drains about the same with or without this on) (batter settings still show that screen is taking up most of the battery)
- With wifi on or off battery drains just as fast.
- I havnt started my new data plan yet so im always on airplane mode( battery drains the same with this on or off)
- My note was never rooted
- I basicly have no widgets on anymore because i deleted most of them but doesnt help battery life.
- With power savings on or off battery still drains the same amount
- The only apps i have installed after ics are ones from googe play(netflix, chrome, and other simple apps)/ i deleted my emulators and other apps that iv'e downloaded and installed
Can anyone please help me with this issue
bump

Did you perform a hard reset on your device after the update?
if not, then see if you can try it and get back again with your screenshots.. don't forget to do some re-calibration also on your battery. This works on my end before. Not sure if it works on yours, but hey.. there's no harm in trying right? just give it a shot bud...

Wtf are you trying to brick op's phone? You should get a warning..
Op never ever ever ever ever ever do a factory reset from ANY ics stock kernel.. It will get your phone bricked.. Or maybe but just maybe not? Anyways will you take the chance?
I was on 4.0.3 stock and yeah the battery it's horrible.. Don't know why the phone barely goes deep sleep.. Check this with cpu spy free app from market
Since the phone upgraded itself to 4.0.4 I have been able to run 14 hours with 5 hours screen and the phone its always on deep sleep
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
yea i knew theres a huge risk involved =/ , is there anyway i can update to 4.0.4 because it's not showing up on kies
Yeah following the several guides around.. They all lead you to download 4.0.4 and a gingerbread rom from Sammobile, downgrading your phone to gingerbread by flashing it via odin and then flashing ics 4.0.4 via odin also .. So go ahead and read some..
Cheers

cpuspy and betterbatterystats to check partial wakelocks and whats keeping phone awake. A gazilion threads on that. read them. You need these as Samsungs analytical view state nothing usefull, they need to fire the designer of that.
Next to this I see lot of screen on time, how much time roughly is that in total, you are actually using device?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
my phone doesn't have the deep sleep problem people have. my on screen time is about 6 hours before it drains completely and by on screen time it could be on the home screen with no wifi/net and no apps running with just the screen on, and the battery would still go down 1% every 3-5 min
So ics 4.0.4 came out for the UK version of note so i updated via kies. This didnt fix battery life at all, in addition iit came with another bug where my phone gets hot and drains battery when turn off the screen after playing any media file....So my question now is can i root 4.0.4 if i have the Emmc bug?
I am using a Moto G 2014 Device from last 2 Years. All of the sudden since last Marshmallow Update I started facing strange battery draining issue. The phone battery goes from 80% to 1 or 0% instantly and device get turned off. I also noticed that it happens while jumping between the apps. For example if I am using any social networking app and I start a low end game the battery meter shows 0% and phone gets turned off. And If I turn on the phone after a while without connecting it to charger it get turned on with some different battery %.
I tried to calibrate the battery with old school method but the device wont let me drain it coz if i turn any app it shut down instantly.

Hi, you can try flashing a custom ROM and calibrating the battery again with battery calibrator (Go to PlayStore and look for the App). :good:

I tried doing the same but that didn't work. I used latest CyanogenMod to flash my device but the issue persist.
Time to replace battery,
Because same happened to me, all of sudden one day battery started draining drastically,
Tried calibrating multiple time nothing helped me.

battery values are in the kernel, u can go /sys/class/power_supply/bms and search the "charge_full" value. if you battery are draining, maybe u have more values in this file, try with less mAh value, example: default value to 3300mAh is 3300000.
After change the values, try calibrate again, this worked for me
it shows me 3138000, what sould I change it to and can someone explain to me what does calibrate mean?

try to change a minor value, example 3070000, and calibrate the battery. Use the phone without turn off the screen, until the screen turns off, If the phone turns off before the battery indicator reaches 0%, that could be the reason for your battery drain, try modifies "charge_full" values to get the real value of your battery.

Btw, usage after 2 days, now i can say that cell standby issue is fixed.
You should note on your device, how long it used and healthy of battery and hardware?
1. Check battery healthy, if it was bad or limited cycle charged. Replace and test again.
2. Check hardware such as main board and other circuit. Some part was damage and infect can cause battery issue.
3. Try hard reset and select 2G only to save battery.
It was happened on my device and I did check, it was defective on main board. I replace a new main board and the problem has been solved.
