[July 16th][W|VGA - W|QVGA][LockScreen]New N3 + CWP 7 WM 6.5 & 6.5.X-Cab files

I've seen lots of people here are not really happy with WM 6.5 default lockscreen
so i wanna to share simple custom lockscreens

before every thing i would like thank joel2009 for his great guideline
New N3 Beta LockScreen is now available (QVGA)​

and to whom just want LockScreen like WP7 here is sth similar to that
- Big clock similar to WP7
- New alignment for Date and Appointments
- New Windows 7 slider

Just extract and replace files in the following folder into the windows directory ( using resco file manager,etc) and soft reset
that is all
OR
for whom don't have enough time to do that, here is a cab file

Note:This only supports Portrait mode yet,Landscape will be available soon

This LOCKSCREEN does not work on Original HTC roms
Caution: If any of the LockScreens didn't work on your device or damage it, plz just unistall the cab file normally (start>setting>system>remove programs), there is no need for Hard reset
VGA/WVGA cabs have been deleted till i correct them

Sorry for the double post, oddly enough, I only tried it today and it doesnt seem to work on my Touch 2 (Mega)

not working for me too..seems like we need 6.5.1/6.5.3 rom

actually all cabs are working in my device
i don't know really but it would relates to which build you are using(mine is
25007)

Maybe, but I need the VGA resources which I don't have to have a look at.
Because it's a bit hard and a lot of work to skin EzInput

Tried to install the cab but it was unsuccessful. Followed your instructions, im on MightyRom btw. Haven't tried the zip yet. Do you have a zip of the original EzInput files in case the zip of your files do not work properly and I need to revert back?

BTW: What was the problem with the CAB?

I haven't a clue. It acted like it was installing, took about 20 seconds, but once it was finished the message came up that installation was unsuccessful

yep, for me too... ^^ try now the zip

The CAB wouldn't install for me either, so I copied all the files into \windows and now my phone won't boot, it hangs at the red radio text.
FYI I am using:
IME_Engine_Western_2_1_19223325_00
IME_EzInput_Western_2_1_20112821_00
What version of EzInput did you mod to make this skin?

Uhhh, that's weird...
Personally, I don't think, that it's a problem of my skin, because I just replaced the image files (including the SIPBitmaps.dll which includes additional graphics).
I used build 1920.3225 as base but I compared the files with other versions up to build 2014 and all graphic files are the same like build 1920
They didn't changed any of them.

I want to include your ezpinput skin in my own rom, how I do???

I had the same issue with the cab but copying the files to \Windows worked great. The skin is amazing! Thanks a lot! The only thing that doesn't work is the [ABC]/[T9] button (correction - it does work, just the [ABC] graphic doesn't change to the [T9] graphic when your using it).

Hm... I don't have that issue. Is the ABC a bit grayed out? Which EzInput version do you use? But the button is pressable?

Hi to all.
I skinned the wm lockscreen to make it look like android.Becuse i don't have imagination or photoshop skills , I stole the icons from antonda's android slidebar for manila2d and the slider from android os, so sorry to all
I tested it on htc mega,but it should work on any qvga device.
To install it simply copy the files from the archive to the \windows folder.Because the files have system,read-only and hidden attributes, you have to copy them withe resco explorer.

Hi Julian, after I copied all the files to the windows folder. Everything is fine just the unlock tab part can not be displayed, it's totally transparent! Is it because the Livven Screen which I previously installed that affect the display?

i don't know about that
you shoud see in the registry \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\shell\lockscreen\notifications\slider value have to be htc_ls_lockscreen.png
about the WVGA ver. if my gf gives her touch pro 2 to test on it - may be ...

can you make a .cab file which automatically replace file?, becuose when i try to replace the existing files whith yours (using resco explorer) it says me that they are rom's files, and ask me if i want to replace them. but when i say yes, it gives me an error.

[Theme] - Swype Gbread Style Skins (grey/black & green/black)

Love the simple look of the GB keyboard, but cant (=dont want to) use phone without swype
so i adapted this skin for my own use since i couldn't find a close enough match to the real gingerbread keyboard, thought id share, maybe others have been looking for the same?
only tested on swype 2.15 wvga, it should work on 2.10 tho, as the skin pack looks the same.
since we cant post swype apk's you'll have to do a bit of work if you want to use this.
its really simple tho...
method used:
-copy swype apk to desktop -
-change file extention from swype.apk to swype.zip
-open zip (no need to extract), then assets folder
-copy "keyboard" folder from zip provided below, to assets (accept add & replace if prompted)
-close zip & rename back to swype.apk (or whatever)
then you have to sign the apk or it wont install
you can use whatever method you like i use Auto-Sign for this or you could use apk manager
no need for more instructions as there's plenty out there & 1 in the Auto-Sign zip provided
you will need Java Development Kit on your pc for auto-sign to work, can be found here:

Only created the portrait skins & credits must go to Marurban for his landscape skins ive included in the zip:

final note: left the skins as editable png's (individual buttons, font...) so you can adapt if you wish, just ungroup using a photo editor

After some tuning and minor bugs corrections, i finaly got a working Windows Phone 7 2.0 theme for TL.
My update is based on the original theme and the addons from FireSlave.
To use the theme,
1. Install TrottleLauncher_1.2.1 in your device memory
2. unpack the given TrottleLauncher.zip in your PC
3. Replace \Program Files\ThrottleLauncher in your device with the one unpacked.
4. reboot then enjoy.

Ok tried it.
Nice theme, good inclusion of all mods.
However, TL keeps re-loading and re-starting every 5-7 seconds after I soft-reset my phone!
Any ideas?

Few other things I have noticed are:
The 'my applications' tile is not in English and the icons or links in that hub are linked to no application! There is also no way to link them or edit them so that they will open any application. Is there a fix for that?

i can see that someone with xml coding knowledge is gonna have to have a look over this and see what is going on...
this theme is a pain in the a$$
it is probably the most complex TL theme ever made... bound to have... issues..
if even one character in the code is wrong ... sends the whole thing into chaos..
ill take a look later

Well possible to do better, but actually you don't need to have a strong xml experience to customize the applications links.
You just have to copy the pages\applications.xml on your PC, then modify the links by editing the file in Notepad++ or any xml editor of your choice.
Then write it back on your device.
See howto in the image.
Point (2) is the path to the exe or shurtcut that starts the application.
