Hi, I am trying to replace the ADW launcher that comes with CyanogenMod-6 with the same process that I did with Super D. However upon installing Metamorph and tring to apply my Hero Theme (launcher most importantly as thats what I want to achieve replacing) it comes up with the error "Launcher.apk not found, skipping...". I followed steps from this site...

...which successfully managed to remove ADW but I cant seem to apply the Metamorph Hero Launcher, still says its not there.
Anyone know of the best way to get a Hero Launcher with this rom, one which can just simply be dragged up like the standard stock launcher?

AFAIK, as of CM-5.0.8 (so CM-6 included), CyanogenMod uses ADWLauncher instead of the stock launcher. Any morphs made for the stock launcher are clearly no longer applicable.
If u removed adw then u should be able to push the new one in its place if u have the apk. I believe

Hello.. i'm pretty new to running Android on my Vogue and i've installed Haws Soad ION Donut build because it is pretty fast on this device...
i'm using the voguimg-240x320-02-07-10.nbh @ 120 density as i think this looks better than the forced higher resolution.
do i need a market fix or something if i can't find launcher pro?

LauncherPro is Eclair and above only (I think). If you want a fast build, try vaniljeclair in the kaiser forum. And launcherpro work.
You could try ADW launcher instead. That's what I use. It's similar to LauncherPro, and has cool theming options.

Try do a power off / Power On to fresh boot that and then try and re-download
and install the ADW Launcher. I just loaded this last night, new version 1.1.4
Works great on the Donut build - pretty snappy - also installed the
Ubuntu ADW theme - quite nice!
Ok, so over the past week I have been teaching myself how to metamorph.
As most people who have used my themes before know, I love motoblur.
Its not over the top, Pretty and simple, and I like the vibrant reds.
So using my mad metamorph skills and my awesome eye for themes, I put together a complete Droid X theme.
This is pretty much done, but still in beta as there are some kinks I haven't flattened out yet, e.g. the 'Send' Button in messaging (can't see text)
Compatible Devices:

Might Work if you find a suitable rom:

(I'm really not sure about these devices)
This should be fine if you have one of the above devices, and are running a vanilla build of android 2.1 (No sense UI here, folks.)
"Vanilla" Means stock android, How its supposed to be without manufacturers custom user interfaces on top.
I personally use Cyanogen Mod, but you could also use Open Eclair, Super E or any other android 2.1 rom for that matter.
Installing:
I have put together a simple metamorph zip that you can open and apply on your phone using the metamorph app (download off the market)
If you like to get dirty, you can push the framework-res.apk that i have attached down below

To make it easier for people you should include the cmparts_ui.xml in the metamorph so they can apply it after using theme theme.
Just add it in a folder in the metamorph called "sdcard and put this in the metamorph (I would do it before the framework-res)

It is based off of Freshened Froyo (Latest Release)
I have tested it on the latest 2.6.32 kernel but it should run on others.
The main allure is the MIUI Theme. This was semi-requested and I put it together.

3. Boot, This can take up to 10 minutes.

In applications themselves I have not found a transparent version.
But on the homescreen it will be transparent when using a live wallpaper and a live wallpaper only I included multipicture live wallpaper to allow static wallpapers

yes the Clock font can be changed to white as well as the date. I am working on that as an update. I might also try gray if possible as it might work better with some of the included wallpapers

When I use live wallpaper, status bar does become transparent. But you know,live wallpaper is so slow in our device...
You might try the default launcher of froyo.
the default launcher works with transparency with no live wallpaper
Yes most of the live wallpapers are slow but some arent
Have you tried the multipicture wallpaper?
Its actually quite fast on my vogue It allows for a static wallpaper to be used as a live wallpaper for the transparency

Ok, so heres my take on this.
Difficult because of how I wrote this rom.
I originally started with cyanogen but was disappointed in its compatibility with some of the tricks/hacks/edits to system files I use. I was never able to get the transparency and gorgeous launchers to run without major crashes and glitching.
I may try but I have no device as i flashed my touch one too many times and finally wore out the short-lived NAND.
I will fire up my dev system and I'll see if I can load an alpha for testing

EDIT : CAmera works ... mms doesnt and phone keeps disconnectin the usb mass storage connection so pc (win7) not seeing phone and i cant transfer my files over but on the mac it does ...

Are you tying with haret or nand method?

I flashed the miui , but internet and bbotooth not worked
and there is no folder myfiles

I had the same problem for SOOOO long. Nothing I flashed to NAND would boot. I could lay the base image down but trying to unpack the system files always failed. I could flash a WM ROM and run Android from haret on the SD card but that was all I could do. I tried 4 different SD cards or varying sizes and speeds.
Nothing worked until I tried to format the SD cards with THIS formatter. When I figured it out 3 of them worked and one still refuses which is OK because I only need one.

My wifi isnt workin'. Its saying (sorry its in german) "fehler" (which means "error") when i start wifi. i changed the waves..thing in the settings bit its not working...
Please make an update or help me to fix. Thanks.
Its also a problem with Eclair on Kaiser and the update of "caynogen for kaiser" didint help

Sorry but i have absolutely no clue what is going on since i only ever worked with the Vogue and it doesn't have wifi its probably related to the services.jar edit i made to acquire some of the fancy effects.
Try shifting to CM7 and see if wifi works there or use nbhtools to build a new KAISIMG.nbh for yourself

The only fix I see for the wifi issue is the "patch" released some time ago that updates the wifi.ko file in /system.
All I need to do with this rom is to fix the blacked out notification bar and a few little "quirks" in the launcher. Other than that I like the implementation of an MIUI theme, kinda refreshing to see something different once in awhile.
Okay, now the blacked-out clock is bugging the hell out of me.

This stuff based on Gingerbread, the stock is still based on Froyo. You can try by extract the zip, then install it just like regular app/apk. If it doesn't work, you can remove it, or it will be removed by itself at reboot, because this is apk system.

If you didn't uninstall it, go into the settings, go to applications, then choose you're current launcher and clear default actions of it. Then, pull led home and it will ask for which launcher you want to use.
I'm not sure its clear enough since my phone isn't in english. :S

Hey all,
Have a Galaxy S, stock 2.3.5 jvt, rooted CWM3.
The TWLAUNCHER sux big time, i want the stock GGB Launcher, downloaded Launcher2.apk file somewhere on the net, but cant get it to work.
Put it into System/App not working, renamed it to TW3launcher.apk (or something like that), not working...
Can someone help me out ?
Dont want to use ADW or GO etc. just stock ggb ;-)

the version found on the market is for android 2.2
when using this one on 2.3.x you get blurry icons etc...

Want to replace the current (default) launcher with the oreginal GGB launcher.
Go, ADW, Zeam, etc are all app's that runs next to the default launcher.
