Hey Guys!
So by now, some of you guys have Skeevy's epic (Official) PAC-Man Rom.
Personally, I thought it's a great rom, but I really didn't like the boot animation... I also didn't like the ones I saw online all too much either, so...
I made a boot animation for the PAC Rom... It's arcade themed so it's not for everyone but I still like it anyways...
Try it if you want, give your opinion, and enjoy!

Preview is slow and doesn't (completely) represent the end product. I'll probably update the image later today/tonight.
Also, it's 256x256, but feel free to resize. For the most part, it will (usually) look clean depending on how you resize...
The last bit With PAC-Man chasing the ghosts is where it loops infinitely.
Point is, it looks better when you're booting up. Previews and Poorly GIFs give this animation very little justice.
That, and I also uploaded an alternate version without the "Winners don't use drugs" Section...
Oh and in case you were wondering why isn't there any mentions of any android versions or phone models...
This was designed to be a nice little universal boot animation (for PAC-Man Roms in mind...)
Oh and thanks for all the help with the questions I had... :sarcasm:
[UPDATE]
Starting on a new boot animation... >.>
Here's a peek at it so far...
Will probably be re-sized to about 540 or 720... (x3 or x4 Respectively...)
Of course there will be two versions (maybe 3 or 4 depending)
One will be offset lower, similar to the original, and the other will be centered...
There will be only one version, two sizes, centered...
May take a while... Watching Whose Line is it Anyways reruns...

Oh, okay. That makes more sense. lol. It didn't bother me, I just didn't get the reference right away.
New Update.
Updated the boot animation...
Changed the last bit of it to be smoother...
Oh, and it's running at 30 frames so...
Also cleaned up the OP... Still working on the Fade in/out for the "Winners Don't use Drugs" bit...
May have to make a ton of frames for the fade...
Not that anyone will read it, or the post telling you about the updated OP...
[EDIT]
Finished work on the animation for now...
Uploaded new version to XDA (by attachments...), Mediafire, and Dropbox.
Gonna present it as a "gift" on szl.kiev's PAC-Man thread.
Simple, but it's unique... It's certainly a change from the animations you normally see around...
>.> So like, the boot animation is a little glitchy...
I'll look into it and update it later today... I may have to drop the framerate back down to 15 or so...

I read the OP. First thing I do in any thread. I'd have posted something sooner, but I never noticed this thread...don't visit Themes and Apps much.
Once I have the time, I'll flash it and try it out. Looks neat.
@skeevydude Thanks, I just fixed the problem with the animation... File names are a pain sometimes >.>
I'm about to upload the new version and update OP... again... in a couple minutes...
[EDIT]
I feel like making a new one similar to the default...
So far it's looking pretty good... It's just the actual animations that are going to be a pain...
So glad I can switch between IcoFX and MS Paint easily...
[EDIT]
Fix'd the main boot animation. Again. Removing the alternate versions for now... I'm manually naming each and every frame I make from now on.
Speaking of manual... The next Boot animation is going to take a while... It's not like I'm using a .gif to make them so...
Here's a rough template for most of the things in the boot animation... There's also another template for the infinite loop...
Some parts of the infinite loop are in this template... Now take a wild guess why this one may take a while to make...
Just finished up the loading section of the new boot animation...
I used only about half the frames to make this preview so it would be "closer" to actual speeds...
So that pretty much takes care of the "easy" part...
[EDIT]
Fun Fact:
I did some math to "guess" how many frames I'd end up making...
I'm looking at about a good 280 frames.
Each one made by hand.
This is going to be fun...
Don't expect any updates for a while... Not that anyone pays attention to this thread.
I've been using this on my Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and it looks great!

Are you on Pac rom? This app worked great until this past week. After the newer builds this week, I get a new (much much nicer) Pac-Man / Motorola bootanimation, and this app no longer works. Also, the custom boot animation for the Pac settings will not let me load one.

LOL Nope...
I jumped ship and went to carbon about 2 weeks ago...
I couldn't stand how unstable PAC was for me so I switched...
PIE Controls finally sealed the deal. Everything else that's added now is like icing on the cake...
Oh and about your problems with the app, find the bootanimation.zip and just replace it with your own...
IIRC it's either in /data/local, or/system/media...
Set the right permissions and then you're set...
(Or try changing install location in the boot animations app... *cough* menu...)

Guys i have a huge problem. I have tried all the roms posted for this device and all give me the same problem when playing big games and hd games.
I have spend months figuring this out combining roms and scripts to help but same result with playing games.
So I had to RSLITE back to stock 4.1.2 i believe and now im able to play any games i want.
What you guys think it could be the problem?

Can we play a game?
From what I have read, and understand, it is a matter of the framework that custom ROMs use. Many of the frameworks are not the normal Android versions. I know as I also have this problem. I like Dragons Lair and it dies on my CM10.2 phone. The graphics freeze and the screen goes black. No audio.
As for specifics, the newer games do work. I ran the Minions game with no problem. But I think it does not really use a complex gaming engine.
You might want to check the various forums of the different frameworks involved and see what they say. Do a search by going to top and click on "Search all forums" and enter "gaming" or some other search criteria.
Good luck.
I did and there is just one script that I used and it works but I have to reboot the phone after I play any game to kill the script which is a bit not my likes.
I have tried every single rom posted for this devise and none works for the games I play

It fixes the display tearing issue on Photon Q.

It's not really that big of an issue to anyone when they know it can't be easily fixed, and our devs are actively working on fixing it.
