Droid X Camera App - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I would like to have it on my N1 just because it has Panorama Assist. Anyone know if the app is floating around somewhere, and if it would work on a non-BLUR OS?
http://phandroid.com/2010/07/02/motorola-droid-x-review/
And sorry for the typo...camera

This cannot be done due to the fact that it requires the e-Fuse chip from the Droid X. Your phone will be blow up when you hack it. lol
Seriously...this would be cool tho.

Uhmmm which one is it?! There are a LOT...
EDIT: Just flashed latest Gapps. Still not showing up. I'm currently running the Gratia .87 rom (Froyo Sense). Do I need to be using CM, maybe?
Interesting idea. But I think Swype would still be faster for me. I'll try this out though.
That thing looks confusing as hell o.o
Warez removed.
I have the file for whomever wants it. For some reason the XDA app on my phone will not allow me to upload files directly from my phone unto XDA. I honestly do not see the point of this 8pen keyboard. It was a headache using it.

Why do you like it? Does it perform better than swype in your opinion? It definitely is hard to use.

Because it's a paid app, which qualifies as warez. Free apps or free versions of apps are ok as long as the app developer approves.

Scrabble

Somebody please get this up and going for the xoom
I was about to side load it....see how that goes.
XOOM
Why bother? It's a POS compared to WordFeud.
I was just going to install this when I noticed the app doesn't install on Xoom. I must say this makes me really disappointed and brings a huge spotlight to splintered status of Android.
That said, I find it hard to blame Google solely. I much rather blame EA. Its not like they couldn't have made the app work on both platforms.
Sent from my Xoom using XDA Premium App
I side-loaded it. It works but not great. It is 1/4 screen and has graphical issues in the unused space. The music sucks too. I haven't gotten to play a game yet but the game does seem to run and the HC3.2 full screen trick will probably handle the screen size issues.

Can you post a link to the APK, I would like to give it a go even though it apparently only partially works. Or send to [email protected] Thanks!

I loaded it on my TB, haven't tried moving it to my Xoom yet...
It is disappointing that this new Free version doesn't support "local" play only... or play against the "computer."
Anyone get the apk out?

That would be warez, unless of course you are asking for the trial version. The trial version does suck a$$ though. See below.

+1 It is pointless for me, i just wanted to grab a quick me vs computer game to try it before i buy it.
There was a free version of scrabble. So that would not be warez. Anyone know where to find the apk in the file system? I can pull it from my TB or tab.

[Q] Best Screenshot App?

What app do you use to take screen captures? I've tried a couple and didn't really like them or they FC'ed.
I'd prefer free, but if I need to fork over a few bucks to get a decent one I'll do it. I don't need anything too fancy, just something that takes a good quality pic of my screen.
One feature that would be nifty is support for taking a "scrolling capture." Say if I wanted to capture an entire webpage or a long list off app settings. I'd pay for that.
Peace, Love, and xda,
-J

Works fine for me and is free. It also worked on my phone when it was not rooted.

There's a setting in shootme, "default color map" that makes them not red, but if you don't have it, you gotta look a lil harder.. the dev pulled it from the market over all the BS people put him through for a free app...

If I'm on the fly, I use AndroSS. It's free in the market and there's no watermark or color changes. Does not take screenshots of the lockscreen though for some reason.
If I'm at home, I go into the Tools folder of SDK and use the DDMS (something like that) Tool. This tool can take screenshots of the lockscreen.
Screenshot by kastersoft leaves no water marks and you can take pics of the lock screen

[UPDATED] [APP] Netflix 360, Honeycomb optimized (from HC enabled market app)

I'm getting tired of the slow scrolling and choppy behavior of apps that shouldn't be. Here is the Netflix app, latest, I think, that I modified to be optimized for Honeycomb. Basically just improves overall app performance.
Enjoy. (attached)
* (You will probably have to uninstall your current Netflix app to try this)
* Updated to Netflix version (360) from the market, released for Honeycomb officially on 10/19/11.
cant install...but I can download it...
You might have to uninstall the old version first.
Works great! (Yes, I did need to uninstall the previous version.)
Thanks!
app works, is very smooth on my Xoom. Thanks

Can someone confirm
I tend to trust the members of XDA quite a lot, however, I'm not going to blindly install this apk. Can anyone confirm that it works?
I'm scared to login as well. The login bars arent misaligned like the account stealing Netflix APk reported to be floating around but I'm still nervous. Has anyone tried this? I'm sorry I'm questioning your work, it probably is fine and a great job done, you just can't be too cautious these days.

You know what's legit? The actual market provided app. It's easy enough to get the APK from a backup on a device that supports it.
If you installed any netfix apk on the xoom then let me make you just a little more paranoid! Did you get the other from the market? I didn't think so.......hmmmmm wonder who got you login from that version? Lol!

Actually I did get it from the Market. Came off my Droid X2.
Not you! The people that got from XDA thread! Like me! OMG someone may be watching Netflix with my info!! No j/k. The app is fine. Don't know why everyone is so scared these days. I locked my CC with Netflix so you can't just go in and change it with the app or online. Have to have more info to make any changes.

If you look through all of mrschmitz's posts on xda you will see he also optimized a nasa app for honeycomb and has contributed some dev work on multiple other things.
Always good to be paranoid with this sort of thing, but I would say it is probably safe.
I am surprised he hasn't chimed in and defended himself yet though.
Confirmed working. i just uninstalled, didn't bother trying without uninstall. Thanks!
Installed it. Video quality seemed to be better. Cam on here to read the comments and got paranoid at removed the app. Waiting for confirmation that this is ok, although i already logged on with the new app so if it was fake it would be too late right?
Doesn't work in Canada just like every other apk out there. Prompts me to update and says visit there bull**** website. A tablet and no Netflix...

ICS on the Droid 3 (video)

Hi Guys,
So the holiday and some extra debugging delayed this a bit.
But here's the video of ICS booting on the D3. The background services are of course crashing all over and the graphics still need work.. but you can see for your self:
http://hash-of-codes.blogspot.com/2011/11/you-got-your-ice-cream-on-my-droid-3-no.html
Enjoy.
nice.
Does seem like it still needs a lot of work. How does this work? Do you have to write code yourself just change stuff and drivers so that it works? Good luck any way
really Great im flashing right now just to see how it is

Ignoring the obvious continuous crashes from background processes you'll have to let me know how you think the new OS "feels". For me it was snappy. It'll be easier to guage on the next version.

Yeah man I was just about to reply and say despite the crashes this super smooth... blows GB away IMO. Keep it up!
Awesome, but, still far from my XT860.
This is honestly one of the best ports I've seen so far for a Motorola phone. Yeah, of course it needs some work to be used like a regular rom, but not near as much work as the other phones. You obviously have hw acceleration down, thats the biggest problem IMO right there! Good work.
I had to flash back before my battery dropped too low but it worked here. Jelly seemed to have much better luck than I did - my screens were all funky. I'll retry it soon once I'm charged and have more time to fiddle.
Sent from my DROID3 using XDA App
Nice, from the look of the video its fast but not that stable yet. Keep up the good work, I would definitely pay/donate if we get a stable ICS ROM out someday.
Ya the os was snappy without the graphic issues or crash popups

Isn't it obvious that the ROM will be very fast if 80% of the services aren't running/working?
