Hello all, I am a longtime Iphone user (since 2007) with T-mobile. I have finally made the switch to a N1 and am loving it. Not only is the phone sleek and fast, but I am getting 3G for 2.99 a month since i am grandfathered into the unlimited data plan from 2001.
I only have one thing I would love to change, is there a simple way to use the default Iphone SMS and ringtone for my N1? I am searching the internet for those default sounds but i must have an issue with finding them
I currently have Fancy Widget, Battery indicator pro, and the snes/nes emulators. Anything else you guys can recommend to me
Thanks!

Try using Zedge in the market for the ringtones.

You need handcent sms if you don't already have it, a must in my opinion.

So I was just kinda curious about this. Personally I use either handcent or chomp sms. But I want to know why no one has improved the lag issue on the stock messaging app. I personally get and receive about a thousand texts every other day. And deleting them can be difficult ex. I got invited to a wedding and deleted the info. I was wondering if anyone is working on it or if they just say use chomp and handcent.

So I just checked and it seems like the latest cyanogen nightly has fixed it. It loaded up over a thousand texts and opened the app in a blink of the eye. I'll see if performance continues

I'm looking for an android app that will answer a phone call after a defined number of rings and record voicemails to my SD. It obviously doesnt need to run if the phone is powered down.
I think the problem in designing this is having sound sent from an app to the caller.
Does anybody know if this exists? (in all countries.. ie not googlevoice)

Youmail? I've used it for years and love it.

Youmail is awesome, no regrets using it, especially since it's free

Try hullomail. Its free too.
Are the actually any voicemail apps for the phone itself. I really don't want to subscribe to a service even it it is free and would rather have all my voicemail left on the phone as OP originally requested.
Hey guys, running CM6 on my hero, I got my hands on another hero and I want to set it up to use as a VOIP phone at my house on wifi. I need a rom that will allow me to setup and use WITHOUT having a carrier attached, anyone know of anything?
Thanks
I just turn on airplane mode, then engage wifi. Cyanogen 6 and 7 both work for me. Aosp does too.
I don't use voip services so I can't say much there.
Hope this helped a little.

Just was wondering how you Revo users were liking this phone... especially comparing it to the Motorola's and HTCs....
THANKS!!!
The button placement is messing with me but other then that it's pretty legit. I like HTC better as far as sense and what not goes... but the phone is good and you can just use launcher pro or adw launcher if you don't like the native LG. Also LG tries to incorporate "Facebook for LG " but it sucks so I just use the normal app ...I like the phone in general though. The speaker is kind of quiet but I use my beats by dre so that doesn't bother me personally...

I like the LG's organization in the menu's..very well done so you dont have to scroll up n down looking for stuff you use...4G is a great thing and in time will only get better...im still waiting for frontcamera chat updates like GB or 2.2.3 updates
(coming from att 3gs iphone)
Hey guys I am using a Nexus 6 stock and rooted with no xposed or anything like that. Just recently I've noticed that (after being told ive been ignoring calls) that NY phone doesn't handle calls well anymore. Now it wasn't always like this and I haven't done anything out of the ordinary either. I can place a call and everything is well but when I receive one my phone app 'stops' and blocks me from being able to answer or decline the call, any idea what's going on?
Attached is what i see when I get a call andddd the apps that are using root right now.
Actually just came to me only changes that have been made besides apps updating is me making a chopped mp3 as a ringtone and another chopped mp3 as a text notification sound, shouldn't bother my calling though right?
Any help is appreciated:thumbup:

i get that same notification on my phone but i havnt had any issues about missing calls or anything. my notification is just while i am randomly using the device. i am using a nexus 6 rooted and currently running CM12 20150210 nightly rom. i have no clue what the notification is about though.
I really don't want to factory reset after getting everything the way I want it but its looking more and more like all I can do? I'd rather flash a new Rom (waiting for the CM12 monthlies) but idek if flashing a new ROM would help I have no idea what's going in, any other ideas?

I need for apps to not randomly stop working lol I haven't heard much buzz about this though so I don't think its a wide spread problem but I'm sure there are are other people with the sane problem

I'll be honest though about the CM12 nightlys. They are actually pretty stable. I havnt had many bugs or glitches besides that phone not working one. In the past devices I have had there were more bugs with the nightly but the nexus ones are pretty decent. They are still very similar to stock OS but some addons
I just noticed this today with the latest CM12 nightly. The phone app crashes on any inbound call, the report says something about a null pointer exception. Hopefully this will be figured out with tonight's release. I kindof need my phone to be a phone...
Hey okay so turn of events it seems like my ringtone actually had something to do with it...posting this to help any future forum searchers for this problem...so after I changed my ringtone the first time, it seems that the phone app had called it Unknown ringtone, probably to show that there was a problem as the ringtone I actually chose had a name, (I guess it couldn't find the mp3 to play when it received a call and so it freaked out whenever a call came through..but since that ring tone doesn't play with outgoing calls, that ability wasn't affected? Idk all speculation
Anyway after I went into the phone app and chose one of the standard ringtones, I called my phone and it rang! And so I changed it again to the cut mp3 I wanted and it rang! I'm guessing the problem stemmed from the way the no3 cutting app applied the mp3 as my ringtone...
Not to witchhunt or anything but the app I used was called MP3 Cutter by accountlab. The app has great reviews and does was it says but just a warning if you cone across the same problem!

I had this happen to me today. I'm totally stock I've only had the phone phone a few days. I'll try to figure this out.

You wouldn't happen to have the phone on 'priority' or 'none' mode would you? It's sort of the new silent mode on android 5.0
