My xda app keeps closing on me. Anyone else having an issue with it? It also keeps refreshing, or at least trying to keep refreshing.

Yes! Mine Force Closes anytime I try to submit a reply or submit a new thread. It works fine for just browsing the forums.
I just did a fresh install of it and now it works fine

heh i have the same problems as op. I'll try a fresh install.
I just updated my XDA app today and it is running way smoother.
I know you already got yours working but do the update, it runs much better and faster now.

I did the update and am still getting errors / force quits when I try to quote reply or reply to most threads. Every once in awhile it won't give the error.
It still submits the post so it is not the end of the world.
Is there a notification that there is an update for apps? I had to search for it on the market for it to tell me there was an update.
I keep five closing too

Yeah mine quit yesterday. And gonzo, the app wasn't bad at all. Better than nothing for sure.

Seems that the market didn't see the xda app, so I sideloaded it. All works fine until I log in, then it fc's and doesn't retain my login.
Anyone else with this? Any workaround?

I use it on my phone, pretty nice.
Edit: trying tapatalk, didn't even know it existed, however it seem cropped and wont always allow my keyboard to come up?
I have noticed the XDA force closes a lot on me also when logged in. This is on both my EVO and the G-Tablet.

Yes and thanks... it does seem to help if I open, close, and open again.. Goog enough for now. With the new performance pack, it only takes a second to do.

Strange Can you uninstall is through the applications setting option and re-download it?
As an update...the search button is broken even after a re-download of Google Search and a reboot.

I've been working on a fix (i.e. flashing old GApps, and pushing new market, etc), but have come up empty. User7618 asked AOSP if he had any ideas. We'll see what he says.

That defeats the whole purpose of flashing gapps into system.

It's a known issue. It will only work properly if you purchase tapatalk from the market.
That's weird cuz it worked untill I followed the steps to get netflix working. Related?

I don't think so. My XDA's been broken since I got it, then I started reading up on it and that's what I found out. Works fine on my phone, but not on my Nook.

I don't think so either. Crashed before and after Netflix for me. My solution is to uninstall and reinstall. Then it works again (for how long, I do not know).

Uninstall/ reinstall didn't work for me. The only other thing I did was to over to OC it but it works great besides this damn app. Can't see it being this. Xda any ideas????????

the problem is nook does not have imei number, if you use the imei hack that you can find in this forum, it'll work.

So glad I found this thread. I flashed CM7 beta 3.1 last night and was pulling my hair out due to XDA FCing every time I logged in. I had hacked the IMEI for Swype on my previous 6.0.3 Stable install prior to installing XDA.
Another crisis averted thanks to XDA!
I had a few crashes before I upgraded too. Now there is no problem.

Premium does work on xoom
Try this is one,,it is not premium but a blue themed transparent XDA apk, let me know if you have any problems,,,delete any previous versions and side load through something like drop box.
2nd one is just in case the first one force closes

I have the same problem as the OP and both of the apps log in but as soon as I click on a thread it force closes. If I don't log in it works.

Thats weird,, here they are working on my xoom, there are some that did force close on me, i dont know why but these dont for me. Make sure you have used a good uninstaller from the market to delete out any previous versions of XDA then side load one of mine or push via ADB to data/app, let me know.

Stranger yet, the free app has had constant FC issues on my Xoom since April. If the free one isn't any good what on earth would make me buy the premium app? You'd think the author(s) would have figured out what a negative inducement this might be...

I kind of thought the same thing but in an earlier thread about this, someone made the same comment and another poster who knew him basically said "sheesh, I'll PayPal you the dollar!" but in a really funny way. The entertainment from that alone made me buy the app.

I've had the same issue with all versions of the free app. I prefer dolphin browsing the website as well.
