TIP : Touch the bottom of the screen under htc text or bottom right corner (about 1 sq cm from corner of screen). this will activate the flashlight.
app works perfect thanks OP WHOAREYOU
it doesn't recognize the touchscreen on the mytouch slide. menu options work and it does control the led light. wish i could just turn it on though.
led light by picolyl is a good alternative for this.
see above edit
I was using droid light, but this is so much better! I just wish these was a way on have it stay on when you sleep the screen.
SySfS
I use incredilight might nt be the best looking but it does the job.
Note:root is needed for it

I have a problem with my Galaxy when I try to draw with any paint app can not use full display!
The problem is that always stays a white frame as shown in the picture!
Is this normal?
Sorry for my english using google translator!
Your fingers aren't pointy enough.
Can you try on your Galaxy and upload screenshot?
What app are you using? Let me try.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
The name of the app's "Painting"
Anyone just a screenshot, or at least test!?
Yay I found the solution! Click the hand in the painting app to adjust scale and bingo! Access to the entire page. Still not perfect but hey...

But it should work without any tricks or not?
Can you draw on your galxy to the edge of the display without any tricks?
No as the apps don't allow it. Nothing wrong with the phone, or your finger lol.

Actually I think I may be wrong about this. The phone does not seem to respond when the very edges of the touchscreen are touched!

I tried this app on HTC Desire and Acer Liquid, and on both I could draw to the edge of the display only Galaxy not!!
When I type the *#*# 2664 #*#* to get into test mode for display,
on the complete edge I have no reaction to touch i in a width of 10-15 pixel!

I can confirm this. Autodesk Sketchbook show the same problem!
If you want to draw with more accuracy, get a phone with Resistive Touch Screen.
I do not want to draw, drawing program is the only app where I can show my problem!
My question was, Is this normal and if someone else has similar problems?
Everyone with the phone has the same problem as you.

Hi,
I find the fact that the buttons under the screen keep lit until you turn the screen off annoying. I often use the tab in the dark and even if you cover them up some of their light "contaminates" the bottom area of the screen, especially with dark images.
Is there any known way to get them working back as they did on Froyo? Maybe if someone could extract the old Froyo backlight driver I could try it on my tab...

I think its a great feature, especially for using in the dark as I often pressed wrong button accidentally. However I do think there should be some sort of setting to adjust when its on all the time and when its not etc.
Try an app called blinker I think from the market.

Hi all, recently j started getting a cursor that appears and looks like a tracer following my finger as I move my finger across the screen...and a bright red border randomly appears on my screen as well..I have looked in display settings but cannot find anything...
I have HTC Vivid, Stock ICS update 4.0.3....
Any ideas at all what this is and how to turn OFF? It does not seek to impact performance, just weird!

Check under Develop Options. In the settings menu.
That did it! Many thanks...not sure what those features are good for...I must have accidentally checked the box ......

Hi
I'm looking for an application like GREEN POWER, BATTERY XL, that will enable connection when my screen is on and close them when screen off.
They all do this but after a while 3g stop working on my DHD 2.3.5 and I cannot find why. Any advise or app that really works like a charm on DHD (Telus)
Thank you.

New here in the HTC one area so please forgive me if this topic was already covered. Being new to the HTC phone I wasn't liking the soft button lights turning off during the day light so this app basically keeps button backlight always on, as long as the screen is on.
Confirmed working with HTC one. KiNDA
Soft Buttons Light

UPDATE: The soft lights turn off on occasion and I have to toggle the power button to turn the light back on. Bug I guess but quick minor temp fix by hitting the button
UPDATE 7-/4/13: According to solid.snake (see quote below), Capacitive Buttons Brightness Works well

It allow to keep the keypad backlight on as long as the screen is on, or it can simply switch the keypad backlight off.
