[froyo] removed audio codec from android 2.2 ? - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Some audio codec seems to have been removed from android 2.2 baecause with all the froyo roms that i have tested (cyanogenMod6, modaco, ...) i am no more able to :
- play wav of voicemail received in my gmail account (sample in attachement)
- play the podcast of the 'Radio France' application found on the market (real time streaming is working)
Would it be possible to re-add support for this missing audio codec into Froyo?
Thanks,
Franck

Media Sync Problem

First of all great work Helmi!Yo update very quickly and pretty fast.
I had a problem with the Windows Media Player Sync Problem. I have downloaded the Windows Media Player 11 Beta, syncing the audio files is not a problem, as Windows Media Player Mobile(10.3 in Helmic_C 1.3.1 ROM), supported wma 9.2 codec. But when I try to sync vidoes, as Player converts them, they are not playable on the device. I only hear the audio no video! I think the new Media Player (i.e. 11) converts media files usinf the new video codec i.e. wmv 9-Advanced Profile, that I think not supported by the mobile version of the Media Plyer (ver 10.3 in Helmi's ROM 1.3.1). Can some one please help me to solve this problem.

Playing M4A files???

Lads, can we play M4A files on our PPC's via Audio Manager? Or even Windows Media Player?
Last night, I tried to install the new KT Tunstall album onto my phone via CD to iTunes - to VIII/Kaiser (using Missing Sync).
At first I got an Error report on the sync log. It said Missing Sync did not support M4A files - to add M4A capability please add to plug-ins - which I did.
I then re-sync'd. And it seemed to work as did not get an Error log this time.
But, when I Updated Library on Windows Media Player (can you update using Audio Manager?) I could not find the Album nor songs in either Audio Manager or WMP.
BUT, if I go into My Docs - My Music - I can find individual M4A songs. And if I click on them they actually do play in WMP.
I did a search on here, Modaco and Google but couldnt find an answer.
Help please

Didn't work for me...
I don't get very good performance with this player when streaming from a network drive. Personally I prefer VPlayer (search on the market)
My Samsung Galaxy s2 Stock Media Player dosent play ac3 Audi files or Mp4 FIles with Ac3 audio decoded. I was able to play those using Dice player or rockplayer.
The official Samsung Site or other specification says this (This is from Wikipedia)
For audio it supports (FLAC, WAV, Vorbis, MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, AMR-NB, AMR-WB, MID, AC3, XMF). For video formats and codecs it supports (MPEG-4, H.264, H.263, DivX HD/XviD, VC-1) and video formats (3GP (MPEG-4), WMV (ASF) as well as AVI (DivX)).
Issues:
1. Stock Media Player dosent play ac3 Audi files or Mp4 FIles with Ac3 audio decoded (Stock Media Player gives the Option 5.1 to be enabled but ac3 not playing)
2. Other players play it Under software decoding, But main Problem is 5.1 isn't working with Head phones
I googled and found some Users were able to Play it with stock media Players. Read something like "I dont have any problem playing those files, I just copy and play them"
Qqplayer is free and plays almost everything. works perfect for me.

Great app but it's no longer available on the market
Anyone know why the full version is now available and how to install the app having paid for it when it was available?
Free version shows
*** Currently can not purchase the full version because the checkout account is suspended.
This is the only video player I found that could playback 720p mkv through dnla on my Samsung Galaxy S. Here's my setup.
Samsung Galaxy S / Skifta / Diceplayer (Full purchased off the market in Nov 2011)
Server running Serviio dnla server
1080p stutters but I think that is down to the single core in the Galxy S. 720p smooooth.
I paid £3.35 in Nov for the full version of Diceplayer from the market but I now need to reistall since changing rom but can't download from the market?
I didn't backup my apps with titanium before doing the upgrade or I could restore app only.
Any ideas?
I have emailed the developer with my receipt but have received no reply.
cheers
for me RockPlayer Lite is the best deal out there. plays most of the formats.
no problems till now

[Q] AVRCP 1.3 Google Music Beta CyaogenMod 7

Recently the CyanogenMod Nightly builds have implemented AVRCP 1.3. This allows for the currently playing song/tracks id3 tags or metadata to be displayed on my car media center. This only works when I use the stock CyanogenMod music player. I would like to know if it is possible for me to use the Google Music player and still be able to stream the track info to my cars bluetooth. I've tried, and it doesn't work. I've found comments from other users saying they have found success but I seem to be having trouble. How do I go about getting this to work?

Any music player should play via whatever the current audio output method is, which would be via bluetooth A2DP if it's connected. Pretty much the only application that will supply the track data however is the stock CM7 player or the bog-standard AOSP-based Android music player. Neither Google music or virtually any other application supports it as until recently the "standard" BlueZ stack didn't support AVRCP v1.3.
Later beta versions of Google Music may support the feature, but the older ones certainly didn't seem to.

Question Is Dolby vision working?

Can anyone who has this phone confirm whether dolby vision is working?
HDR checker apps from google play can show whether it is available or not.

You can use Just (Video) Player to view these files:

I think this is the only player that properly supports mkv dolby vision files.
