Problem getting GPS on my diamond..

Found a link/thread to get the tomtom 7.. but it won't react on my phone..
Anyone who can tell me step by step how to get the gps up and running?

then why don`t you ask in that thread but create a new one instead of that ???

noobs are all making the same mistake. they are using "search this thread" instead of "search" and afterward start complaining..maybe they are right, we should do something about it...

Instead of biting my head of and do something useful.. the problem i had was NOT on ANY of the forums, neiter under any other threads. Therefore I asked for help. Never mind now.. I found it out my self. take care and hope you all don't bite the head of someone in the future.

Stein, please understand, it's not a matter of solving the problem, but rather were is the right place to put the question.
If everyone start's build threads for each and single tiny problem, in a few time, nobody would be able to find anything here.
That is not good the users and not for you as well.
I hope you understood...

[Solved] Coming Soon! "Ultimate Newbie Thread"

Well for about a while now i know theres is a hella bunch of newbies have trouble
from being to lazy to search/they dont know what there doing/OMG Im stuck at bootloop nonsense,and i feel sad for them, because i use to be like them asking for help when no 1(kinda) didn't help me out so im wondering if someone wants to help me make "The Ultimate Newbie Thread"
Basically in this thread we would have everything from a-z
such as 1 click rooting
partitioning
adb
All roms and whats the best for who and what kind of person you are
which is the stablest of all cupcacke builds/Hero builds
etc..
And with this thread we would stop so many pointless threads that would get closed/locked in 2 minutes
So basically all these threads you see on this forum would be cut and pasted all in one
So yeah any contributers???
I dont want to do this alone

here is the link to my one click root guide i have no problems with you putting it into an ultimate super-noob thread. i think all the dumbass questions popping up should make a new classification called super-noob.
requirements to be a super-noob
1. knows nothing.
2. makes a new thread asking a question that has been answered a million times.
3. will not search for an answer
4. wants to be spoonfed information so that he/she/it(lol) does not have to research or learn anything.
5. rude to people that do not spoon feed answers.

if you didn't want to compromise your actual account on xda by giving out your info you could make another account and pm the info to any of the people that would be "editors" this post. the only thing is that for someone to log into to edit it the person using it would have to log out as soon as they edit the post so that it would free it up for someone else to log in and edit it. we should see if supremeteam256 along with direct matrix and nephron would like to get in on this because they are on here a lot and help out a lot. but i would not mind being an "editor"

to be honest i wouldnt care if they used this account but

or we could put at the bottom of that very section

or we could just make a remixed name
and in the thread will put who each part is made by

well i just sent pm's to nephron, DirectMatrix, and supremeteam256 asking if they would like to do something like this. the reason i suggested the edited by part was mainly so that the other "editors" would know what who changed.

OP you can do a google search even on how-to root the G1 easily...You didn't say if you had rogers or even relevant info like if you have 1.6 or 1.5 now.

OP is ridiculous. I've helped many many people (or at least tried) here, via Gtalk or other means. I've had the patience of the saint. But once I've told a guy to download base rom from Cyan's wiki and he asked me to email it to him... I lost it. I have 0 patience now. And for the most part I stay out of threads like this... but this one caught my attention because fails in every aspect:
Spelling/punctuation
Basic research
Providing most basic info
Posting in the right forum

[Q] Noob alert

Hi guys/girls, I just got an Xperia SP yesterday. Although I'm reasonably tech savvy, these days I'm not to clever. Just introducing myself really and hope to learn from the forum. I will endeavour to research as much as I can myself, however I'm on a few other forums ( none phone ) and have always found people very helpful. Thanks in advance ..... Mikey

Ok so any questions about the phone? Had to stop visiting Sony forums as I can't stand the continuous complains:crying: XDA is not just for developers but also in general for people who want to learn.
Just a few basics:
1. Always use the search button. Many, including me are particularly annoyed by people who can't be bothered to search
2. Press the thanks button for helpful posts. It helps a lot by pointing out the useful replies and for the poster's ego...
3. Finally, the video
