Is it possible? What would it take to get that done?
Sent from the beast from the east HTC Evo with XDA App
dont think its possible...unless you put the unrevoked.apk onto your HTC hero sd card then run it. You would still need a computer to transfer the file to the sd card, or you could go to the unrevoked website from the hero..download the file onto yours phones sd card and install it from there then run the program.
Do you have the link?

sure do man...here is the . supposeldy this is the 1 touch way to unroot a htc hero or a few other phones

I had tried everything to make it worked, but my phone gets reboot continuesly if partition is made on SD card.
Pls someone could elaborate the procedure if they have successfully got increase in internal memory

What partition are you trying to create FAT32 or ext2?
I had some problems adding partitions on SD card and having my salsa detect it. Following steps worked for me.
#1. Create a FAT32 partition using windows (use full space)
#2. Install miniPartition(home edition free software)
#3. Inserd SD card into card reader and connect to PC
#4. Resize the FAT32 partion to have about 1 gb of unaloocated space for EXT2
#5. Create ext2 partion using MiniPartition.
You are ready to go.
question..before looking at your sdcard....what hboot you using and are you s-off or s-on...have you unlocked your bootloader. it will constantly bootloop if your not setup on the basics first. this was my issue for ages
Finally I could able to get increased internal memory through updated script provided by puppet13 and kanded..
But new issue is my mobile is bit laggy after this...
Anyways
Thanks a lot guys... Keep the good work

so you got memory....and its being slow? go find sd speed increase form the market, install and turn the speed up to 2000/4000 and set on boot. you'll notice a difference then
SD boost application installed.. working fine..
Only issue remined is unlocking device takes upto 5 seconds sometime and skin picker force closes every time..
Any way that's not a big issue.. works great now..
Thanks a lot

Hey guys.. I have flashed a few roms to my Raider now, but my internal SD is a mess - lots of old left-over install folders, leftover app bits..etc. When I'm in CWM Recovery, I found an option to format the internal SD card. My question is this: What will that wipe? Everything?? Does it wipe out my CWM and the installed ROM as well?? I'm scared to try it, bc I don't want to brick my phone. I'm not real familiar with pushing files to the SD card thru ADB (actually I just know its possible, no idea what the commands are) so I don't want to have to go that route, but I'd REALLY like to wipe my internal storage and clean it up.
Ideas?
I recommend going into your settings when your booted into android. So long as you have no apps installed to the I.internal sd card you are safe to format.

i would not use the CWM option to do that, it is a port and not fully supported and i know on some other devices (not sure about vivid) but that would soft brick the device
I always use the windows format and change the allocation size while I'm at it. Just backup what you need and copy it over when you are done. Since there are a lot of leftover bits I'd recommend not doing a quick format. The method in which you format probably doesn't matter but I like working from the computer when it comes to this stuff.

And formatting the *internal* storage from USB storage mode in Windows won't clear out my HoliRaider ROM? I just don't wanna brick my phone its running awesome now thanks to bananacakes.

No, the rom is installed on its own partition. I've formatted with no issues after I rooted and debloated my phone

but idk what to do next can someone help me
Did you move it to the external side of the sd card with file expert ?
Sent from my VS910 4G using XDA App
what does external side mean? i put it on the root of the sd card
Go into file expert , find the rom you downloaded under the sd card , then either copy it or move it to the external folder under the sd card. Then when you go into cwm and select file from sd card it'll be there. I had trouble with it when I first done it too

There is an OP with the Gingervolt thread that explains everything in very good detail.

Copy it from /sdcard and move it /_externalsd. Then you are going to want to boot into clockworkmod, either by downloading quick boot from the market or by powering down the phone and holding power + volume down. Follow the instructions for the ROM installation and enjoy!

Okay so i was working in the garage and my captivate got bumped off the table and fell flat on its back and webbed out the screen (DAMN IT!).
Lucky i got 2 more sitting as backups.
My problem is its stuck in fast charge and i cant use the screen to get out of it and cant see anything (the screens finally faded so cant tell if its in recovery or not)
Is there any app or method i can use to force it in to mass storage mode or something to extract my files (i don't know all the directory's or id use adb and extract each folder) also there a way to do a rom backup so i don't got to start over from scratch with all my tweaks iv done.
Sorry if theirs a post for this i looked and didn't see anything for my series (didn't check newer models yet but going to after i post)

I installed custom rom 'Android Revolution HD 5.3 by Mike!' on my hTC Incredible S. It worked like a charm for month, but last night when I tried to access my gallery and music I can't view em. The files are there when I access them from file manager.
help me on it..
Try shifting your music and pictures to a different directory on your sd card. This is a common issue with that rom. Or you can make a backup of your data on your computer and format the sd card.
