How to save text messages on internal memory?
I have done this before, but after resetting my phone I cant seem to remember how to do it again... I want to set up my phone so that when I receive a text message its saved on my internal storage instead of main memory.

Are those still the changes to point the incoming mails to the internal memory..??

Are those still the changes to point the incoming mails into the internal memory..??
Example:
Code:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MAPI]
"AttachPath"="\\Storage Card\\Mail\\Attachments"
"PropertyPath"="\\Storage Card\\Mail"
Where Storage Card = Internal Memory
Any recommendations or ideas...??
I use these

Mail was stored under windows\mail on my Diamond, then after one hard reset mail was going to windows\Messaging ! Still used the settings in the above link replacing "Storage Card" with "Internal Storage" works fine.
HTH.
Thanks for the input fredfox_uk

SMS in SD Card

Good evening, wanted to know if there is any way that the SMS is stored on the internal storage of the diamond so as not to lose and who do not occupy space in the system. thanks

How do I make Diamond use 4GB for SMS instead of SIM?

Sorry for the newb question. I just got this phone and have never used a Windows Mobile device before. Searching didn't help me.
The messages I receive keep saving to the SIM card and then I can't receive anything after 17 messages (my card's limit). Is there any way I can use the devices 4GB to store SMS?
I have the GSM unlocked version.
Thanks.
I thought the default was to save to Internal Storage and you have to option to save to SIM if you chose(?) I say that because I've had over 2000 messages stored on my Diamond.
I've got 52 messages store on my phone and I'm sure they're saved on the internal storage as I don't have much space left on the device memory.
Messages are stored on the device memory by default. As each message is only a maximum of 255 bytes, you will not use all of your device memory on it. (2000 messages = 512k)

Click to collapse
Yeah, my bad, I actually meant to say they seem to save to the device memory and not SIM card memory by default on my phone.

[Q] Internal memory bit by bit

Hi
I just deleted by accident a whole thread of text messages.
I know I can't recover the text messages as a nice thread back on my phone.
What I am trying to do however is to access *all* of the internal memory.
Make some sort of raw dump of the whole internal memory (where text messages are stored as well) and browse it with a hex editor in the hope of finding pieces of my text messages with my gf.
Is it possible ? are there better solutions ?
Thanks
I have no idea if this is possible or not, but if you value your text messages so much, you should seriously consider using an app such as SMS Backup to backup all your messages to gmail automatically, like I do.
I am aware I had to back up and how to do it... but I just wanted to know how I could access *all* of the internal drive of my phone even the supposed 'free' space... ?

Recover Deleted Texts

I am still new to this stuff but is there any way to recover deleted text messages without buying a SIM card reader? I am not even sure if my phone stores the messages on the SIM card or on the phone itself. It is stock except that I rooted it.
Text messages are stored in internal memory, in a database:
/data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/mmssms.db
I do not believe there would be any way to recover deleted texts. Use SMS Backup + to backup and store future text messages to your gmail account.
