I noticed today that I haven't gotten any of my emails pushed to my phone. I checked Settings > Accounts & sync > Google and the last time my stuff was synced was yesterday, Thu, Jul 22 at 3:24 pm. Nothing happens when I click on Sync now. Similarly, nothing happens if I go to the Calendar or Gmail app and click on Sync. I don't know if this is relevant, but sometime yesterday my phone started telling me my phone storage space is running low. It's at about 14.3 MB. Could this somehow be preventing the sync? I restarted my phone to no avail.
And now my Market refuses to download or update any apps. They just get stuck at "Starting download..." Also, my Market looks very different from normal!
1) The rightmost button used to be "Downloads," not Sprint!
2) I can only get to my downloads by pressing Menu.
3) Clicking on Sprint brings a section I've never seen before! It's just a list of apps, but until now I have never seen it.
This isn't a local data outage because other data apps are working.
Exactly the same thing has happened to me but I'm not rooted. Just Sprint/HTC Android 2.1.
Was updating apps and market started acting flaky, then the Sprint tab appeared. Rebooted updated more apps, no problem. Tried to install Nook which is a large app, got message that install failed due to corrupted file. From that point on low memory notification stays on even after removing an app. Tried installing Nook again to uninstall thinking the failed install left something in the memory. No luck even downloading now.
Can't download and sync won't work even after rebooting and renewing Profile. And low memory notification stays on. In hindsight I noticed the low memory notification popping on somewhat frequently the last few weeks when in fact there was no real memory problem.
Came here thinking it's time to root my Hero and upgrade to 2.2 since Sprint has announced no more upgrades for the Hero.

So who's done the leap and updated to CM 6?
Here's what I noticed, and I've be curious if anyone else has too.
1/ Apps2SD: Not quite sure what they are doing but there is some sort of method that uses 'moved to SD Card' but it seems that noone is calling it Apps2SD. It essentially does the same and seemingly working on my phone but my internal memory is down to 31.74MBs.
2/ The Email App (NOT to be confuse with GMail). Under 5.0.7 it worked just fine. Under 6 it will receive and I can read emails but I cannot reply. When I hit reply I get taken back to the list of emails I received.
3/ I'm using a new GApps Set:

Gmail works but Maps does not. It opens to the grey grid then closes. It's like the GPS wasn't turning on but it is turned on.
For this, I'm gonna go back to the other GApps set and see if that fixes this annoying issue.

Well, installing the old GApps set didn't work....it was acting like I did click on 'install anyzup from SDcard" in the recovery menu....oh well, reinstalled the newest suggested set and I'm back to where I was. GMail working but no Maps.

I'm going to try a fix_permissions but I am rather loath to do so...last time ir broke a bunch of other things which ended up in a re-flash.....well, here goes nearly lost hope....
Yeah...shoulda known....fix_permissions just seems to break things...

Phone rebooted after it finished booting up and I hadn't touched a thing.
It booted up and stayed the 2nd time but couldn't get into my wireless settings to tell it to connect to my provider without a FC.

Sigh...back to wiping and reinstalling again....maybe I will go back to 4.2....
Last night I was at home and noticed my wifi wasn't on, so I used the quick settings in the shade to toggle it. After a few seconds, wifi connected, and some unknown app took focus and closed repeatedly. After a few moments, it stopped and all was well.
I thought it was strange, so I turned wifi back off and the same thing happened. I rebooted, tried again, and got the same result. I was trying to think of a way to see what was happening, so I tried using the Screen Record function in Gravity Box, which didn't help much, because it happens so fast, and no info is displayed, just a black window that goes away quickly.
I then turned on the CPU usage in Developer Options to see if anything consistently came to the top when toggling. I saw a few apps each time Plume (Twitter), and Maildroid (email) were two of them. Both of these apps behave differently on wifi and 3G/4G (push vs. pull), so thought -maybe- it could be something with that. I uninstalled both of those, rebooted and tried again, getting the same result.
I recorded the screen when this was happening with the CPU usage displayed, and was wondering if anyone has any ideas? I don't really want to uninstall and reinstall EVERY app on my phone, so I was hoping someone may have seen this before or see something I'm missing when watching it happen.

Thanks for any input anyone can offer!
Do you check virus from your phone ?
I am also having this, seems to be due to 4.4.2 OTA, which I continue to delay as I am rooted.
Mine doens't only happen with wifi change, but also just randomly when using hangouts, keyboard stays out but hangouts min -> maxes quickly. I have tried freezing the update apps but it apparently didn't do anything as I was still asked to update earlier.
Only hangouts? I have that app disabled.in the app settings.
I can't say for sure that being on 4.4.2 fixed it, but I am on 4.4.2 now and it is not happening anymore.
I unlocked my bootloader and did the 4.4.2 SBF, unlocked and rooted. I installed probably 99% of the same apps (only ditched 1-2 that I never used anymore) and I am not having the flashing issue anymore.
Hard to tell for certain if the pending OTA was the cause, but it may have been.
I'm very recently (1 week or 2 max) facing issues with GPS/Geolocation on my Nexus 6. Any app requiring location, GMaps, Uber, what-have-you, does not detect my current location. GMaps shows a toast, Waiting for location. Other apps error out or keep waiting.
I can't be sure but the issue definitely started sometime around the time after I installed the Feb updates.
Now some weird observations :
1. All of a sudden, one in maybe 20 times, it stays working.
2. Again, all of a sudden, it promotes to recalibrate the compass and it starts working.
3. It stops working again after subsequently relaunching GMaps.
4. Works in Safe Mode! But I Uninstalled most of recently installed apps (I don't have a lot) yet doesn't work, so not sure if it's a 3rd party app causing this.
5. Installed some so-called GPS Fixing apps, they themselves are stuck at locating.
Anybody else ?
Anything to try?
Yes I'll do a factory reset or service replacement if nothing works so please avoid such suggestions.
I was having the same issues after Feb. Update phone locking up and freezing randomly unable to get geolocation on battery saving. I redownloaded the newest from Google and reflashed system image and radiio and bam performance back along with location.
Long story shkrt, probably a bad download

Thanks.
Bad download over OTA?
"reflashed system image and radiio"
I don't have a working system image backed up.
And reflashed radio? I didn't get that part...
Google system image
I have been on Marshmallow since the official release this past Friday. I am no rooted, never was on this phone. Phone is completely OE.
I have noticed a few issues and gripes.
1) No more volume control for just notifications. They are now controlled in with the ringer volume. To me, that sucks.
2) Smartlock is not working properly. I have to enter my password to unlock my phone 80% of the time in locations where it should be unlocked. (Home and work)
3) Where are the Doze settings?? I have looked all over for Doze and do not see it. Did T-Mobile decide not to include it?
4) I will find out for sure tonight, but when my battery got low the last 2 days, I lost LTE, was on 2G, and no wifi calling. Basically I had a phone that worked but was a paperweight. I do know there was an outage last night, I am hoping thats all it was, but I do notice my phone running slower and harder connections at lower battery levels.
4) Apps just stop working. I have to clear out my recent apps, and reboot my phone to get apps to work. Chrome wont load pages, Facebook wont load more than 20 (est) updates, news apps (local and CNN) wont refresh or load.
If anyone has had the same issues or maybe a fix, please help! Thanks in advance.

hello guys,
my OP3T did serve me very well over the last couple years but now im facing some strange behaviours. im running android 11 via ArrowOS in the latest version.
so one day i randomly got a text saying that im about to reach my data limit which is weird, as i barely do anything with my device. i checked the setting and found out that my device downloaded almost 5 GB of a system update i was not aware of or even could find any info about (pic 1 + 2 + A). adding to that another 15 GB when hooked on the wifi. (pic 3),
although pic 7 shows the app having ACTUALLY downloaded only around 200 MB.
through the battery stats i found out that google play services appeard to be active 24/7 and sucking the battery dry, literally >> 99% ????
i cleared the cache of google play services already but completely deactivating is not an option as its linked to every other app there is.
any help you guys could offer? if possible without resetting the device or reflashing.
thx
I normally keep Google play Services disable unless I need it for Gmail or Playstore.
It's a trouble maker.
Google backup Transport runs as a dependency of it as well, that may be your culprit.
Since Pie Google Android has mutated into a even more fat big sister of a hog. Who needs that?!
i tried that but my phone keeps constantly buzzing then as it finds more and more apps that stopped working and i get notification after notification.
