I using the Android 2.2 now,but it has some question.1st,the WIFI can't open,when I touch it,it screen"error".2nd,it no sound,in other words,it can't play sound.3th,phone function can not be used.I think this version is very well!I look forward the Android ROM!

Look for builds 23022, 23024 or 23025. Saw some ROMs with 23022 and 23024 for Xperia floating around.

I get your joke lol anyway it will run on the Captivate but without any changes to the Kernel it has some wrong settings like orientation and stuff. Also in general it's quite buggy and does not have all features working. The Devs working on it have made GREAT Progress but they only released this "test build" because someone built it from their source and released it before it was meant to be released.

To answer your question it does work. Turn auto rotate off unless you want everything in landscape, use the speaker to listen to the phone, and set the notification ring tones to come through the speaker-just like with any other other I9000 rom whose kernel has not been reoriented for the Captivate. You also may need an external SD card for applications to function. On earlier versions this was a necessity but it may be different on the newer builds. You previously could not save anything to the internal SD card.
I installed it and got everything working using the JK4 modem, but I'm just using the stock kernel right now so Home and Search buttons don't work. Anyone who's reoriented the cm7 kernel mind posting it or pming me a link? Thanks.

Well, yea probably the name comes cause it's ported from Xperia mini device/s.. just wanted to be sure about it. (Could of been cause it had less features/configs than 'Cyanogenmod' or who knows what else...)
its called minicm because nAa port rom and change some thngs to works better on our x8. also its lightweight than normal cm7

Hey guys, so I need help in gaining root access on my phone.
I followed this guys guide to getting to rooting ( under 10 posts, but yeah I followed a youtuber by the name of Qbking77 ), and it was good!,,, Until I used 2 root checkers and they said I don't actually have root access!
Right now I have twrp installed, an unlocked bootloader, and a phone sim locked to sprint and my main goal is to unlock it for a canadian carrier and root it to run custom roms.
I'm even willing to fork out some coffee money if someone can help me out here!

Yeah, I did everything as posted in the video that I used, and he flashed it with twrp (sorry if I get the terminology wrong lol)
You may just need to go into the SuperSU/superuser app and update the binaries

Open your app drawer and find the supersu/superuser app and select it to open the app
It will tell you if the binaries need to be updated

There is an app in the themes section but I don't think it's working on 4.3 as of yet.
There is a thread in Q&A I believe has a solution for 4.3 users
