Theme thread

Hi guys, im not totally gone yet
Though I would start a theme thread, where ppl can post their custom themes and screenshots of their todayscreen
Please remember topost your "theme".tsk file ("theme" = your themes name ) You need to zip it if you upload as attachment
Ill start with some custom I have made
First a new theme I created for my new tytn2 (kaiser) rom (touch-it.tsk)

Want to use them? Unzip the files, copy them either to your windows dir on your device, or copy to storagecard (no folder, but if you want them in a folder on storagecard, make a my documents, and place them there)'

I don't have a tsk file. Its just the wallpaper. If you want me to post the wallpaper file i'll be happy to do so.

yeah, its basicly what I wanted, that ppl share their wallpaper either as a jpg, gid, png w/e or a tsk

My contribution, My favorite is the "bodyskin" wallpaper I frequently use.

is there any way of getting rid of the first line in HTC Home (operator and date)
becuase under HTC home, i´m using todayagenda and i want to get rid of the fisrt line........

May i ask which software do you guys use to make these theme?
I have some nice pictures to use as background, but don't know how to put them on an existing theme or make a new theme from them.
The function to "use a picture" in WM6 always give these pictures some degrees of transpelation and when it combine with the letters in white color, really hard to read.

Something funny
Someone should make a theme with Janet Jackson's "nipplegate" where the nip is positioned right under the weather icon on htc home. That would be a funny theme.

I must say, i've looked everywhere for guitar and bass themes and these are two of the nicest...simple yet effective.
I'm at work right now so I cant upload any background images but I would highly suggest some of Salvador Dalis work...very cool images he has.

The way to customize a phone "that is YOU" and fully customizable is so hard....
The explanations in your topic refer to a G1 and WinWo tutorial!

then you have to "port" them to the hero. just use the hero files. and no, these are for android. that's why they are in the android section. you need to do a little thinking yourself, it is all in the link.

If you know all the Sense system and all the ressources, 99% of the people on earth don't!
An android tutorial on haw to change app's ressources don't tell me me how to change the hero bottom bar. you need to do a little thinking yourself too!
I won't disturb you again, sorry to wast your time.

I'm sure if you try and get stuck you could ask for help in the thread. Ratcom, creator of the guide, makes Hero themes

ok, so i am gonna do the thinking for you. extract all the apks that are relevant, search for *.png in the folders, then look at them, and when it looks like the bottombar or is called something_bottombar_something or similar it might be worth a try. if i can do it you can do it too, and i did it.

you could start learning rather than talking nonsense too much. none of the theme modders came to the earth by learning modding in mother's womb. they read tutorials, books, webs.

well it is not done in two clicks, but once you get your head around it and automate it as far as possible (batch files/shell scripts) it is pretty easy... have fun theming

I love the idea! but I don't have the skill to use psd files and stuff. Does anybody with photoshop skill want to expand this collection? I'm sure it would make a bunch of people happy if that's any consolation.

Maybe i can update them, as they are "mine" Was thinking on starting something new as this was my first upload... But if there is demand i can make some more of this and start on the new ones later

Soon after I posted, I looked at your other work as well and now I think I'm going to try to make a wp7 look. lol When I do switch back to just using LauncherPro (I change my phone's look a lot) I'd use these icons though.

[Icons] A Crap Load of Iphone Style(Seriously, Over 8,000)

******I DON'T HAVE THESE ICONS ANYMORE, HAD TO REFORMAT MY COMPUTER AND LOST THEM, THEN MOVED TO A DIFFERENT THEME. IF YOU WANT THEM, I FOUND THEM ON DEVIANTART.COM, SOMEWHERE IN THE ICONS SECTIONS.******
So, on my travels to the deepest parts of the web in a search for custom icons, I stumbled upon a holy hand grenade type collection to blow all my troubles to smithereens. Buried deep, it was, but through hard work and a not insignificant amount of luck, I unearthed it and it shone with all the glory of god's own visage. The My Collection .rar contains the icons left over after I deleted all those I didn't like, about 340. Mostly pastels, some other useful one's in different colors and what not. The Original Collection is what I initially got, it's over 8,000 icons, which is ridiculous. Hope this helps someone, because forum and Google searches didn't really help me. Still had to sift through a lot of crap.

Fantastic! I've had a massive struggle finding icons that I like . Although, I could have saved you some time and just told you to google the "Suave" theme. He's got hundreds and hundreds of icons since it's originally an iOS theme.

Also got 'Processing download request...' message stuck when using Mozilla Firefox but worked fine with IE.

i used the reduced collection before (thanks for that!) but now was trying to get the full file and i'm also getting stuck. using both IE and Chrome it starts the download but never starts downloading...

I just tried downloading the Original and it's working fine on Opera. Also, I got a new computer and the collections I had are gone. I got the original off of DeviantArt.com, if you want to try to find it. It was buried in the iPhone icons section, not even sure what the collection is called on there so no idea what you could search for to find it.

yeah now it's downloading. i had tried first at my in-laws house. now at home on IE it's downloading just fine

The set is INCOMPLETE (about a hundred icons). I do not wish to continue the development since I don't feel the need for it.
But I still decided to release it in case any of you still want them.
For those who wants to play a little, I've included a template so you can create your own icons yourselves. (See tutorial below)
Tutorial:
1. Open the template in Photoshop.
2. Select any icon you want and open it Photoshop. If you are one of those who are using my Simplified Upgraded set, much better if you use them.
3. Copy your icon & place it over the top of the template. Adjust the size & location of your icon so as to fit the designated area.
4. Save your artwork as png and you're done!

When you're done, perhaps you can post some screen shots and inspire others of your work.

EDIT:
I have attached a bigger template for better resolution. Just don't forget to resize it (128x128 or 90x90, or according to your need). Otherwise it will eat up your device's resources.

oh sorry. They're suppose to be missing. It's an incomplete set.
